More of a drive through hotel than one for a longer stay

Good and simple breakfast, nice and clean room and bathroom, good gym facilities

More of a drive through hotel than one for a longer stay in terms of breakfast and cleaning times, the cleaning people knocked early to clean and on the last morning we got woken up by knocking at 6:30am for someone to push through underneath the door our invoice (no need to knock for that); we shared a door with the room next door through which we heard the neighbours quite a bit.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but it looks like a nice setup.

We had to move to a new room because the safe was broken in our initial room. It would have been good to know that before we moved in the first time, since we did need use of one. But the reception desk employee was very nice and quick to help us make the switch.

Our 3-day stay was pleasant; reliable internet & a fresh bed daily, but breakfast needs improvement.

We found what we needed at the Holiday Inn Express - Branford-New Haven: beds made daily, clean bathroom, quiet room.

Breakfast seems so ordinary! I prefer hardboiled eggs that are not shelled; all that is available are shelled hardboiled eggs. The food seems so un-nutritious, but that is like so many fast-food places. There was an attempt at having people separate recyclables from non-recyclables, buy people just used both containers for trash. I would like to see more sustainable food practices not only here but at all hotels. Single use plastic is awful stuff for the planet. Let's have some paper juice boxes, and cutlery from plant plastic or bamboo. Yes, I know it is expensive...

Great beds and excellent showers

Convenient location for a stopover

Staff were altogether very indifferent and not very helpful. Unusual in a Holiday Inn for staff to avoid eye contact and not even greet guests.

The hotel is quite new, we feel so good in the room and caffe.

The sound insulation is not very good, we could hear some noisy from next room.

Breakfast was the typical sad hotel buffet; staff kept the area clean and well--stocked. Rooms were clean and extra pillows and towels were provided per request. Front desk staff were all very friendly and polite. Beds were comfortable.

Great, restful, stay.

The room was a good size. It was comfortable. The decor was appealing aw well. Breakfast had a nice selection of items. Front desk staff very personable and friendly. Easy check in and check out.

Having one more towel and two more wash cloths. I was able to get a towel from the front desk (I was actually given several, which was nice, but there were no wash cloths that could be located. We used the longer hand towels like a wash cloth. It worked, but wash cloths would have been better.

Oasis for the sleepy traveller.

I was falling asleep on the road and decided to check in. Staff was nice and accommodating, considering my arrival hour. The room was very spacious and the bed was nice and firm.

Great Value

Friendly check in, room was huge and bed was comfy. Breakfast was adequate and we loved being able to pickup pizza or subs at the restaurant right next door.

Great value for the money! Would definitely stay again

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. Upon check in we were immediately greeted. The check in process was quick. The room was clean. The location was only about 10 min from New Haven so we could sight see while staying in a quiet area. We travelled w our 18 & 20 year old sons and they, as well as us approved of the breakfast 🙂 They offered two kinds of eggs, potatoes, and 2 kinds of sausage. There was also cereal, toast and a variety of pastries.

Booking.com did not send my reservation to the hotel and we were put in a handicap room due to being sold out. Room needed to be updated, we are not handicap but someone who is might have issues with the room. Had buttons for electric shades that didn’t work, bars in bathroom for safety were loose in the shower and by toilet.
