About this apartment rental

Casa Giulio is located in the small village of Praiano on the Amalfi coast, at about 900 m. from the center town and it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday.
The property can be accessed by walking about 40 steps (150 meters from the road). If you have a car it can be parked on the communal street borders at around 300 meters, or in a private parking (at extra cost). You can reach the centre of Praiano on foot by walking along a stone path, climbing down for 5 minutes (about 200 steps). In the village centre you will find restaurants, bars, food stores, shops etc…
However you can also use the local bus to and from the center, that connects the towns of Positano and Praiano during spring and summer and that will drive you to the coastal beaches as well.
Casa Giulio can accommodate up to 6 people, it is on two levels that are connected by both and indoor and an outdoor staircase.
It consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting-room with access to one of the two terraces provided with table and chairs and from where you will enjoy a beautiful sea-view.
Two bedrooms are on the lower floor, while a third bedroom is on the upper floor. This further bedroom is provided with a kitchenette and a bathroom.
The plus of this property is the marvelous terrace on the upper floor, partly shaded by a pergola, that is equipped with sun beds, two tables with chairs and an external shower. Here you can enjoy the most of the time, sunbathing or having a meal admiring the amazing view over Positano, the main square of Praiano, the Mediterranean sea and the island of Capri.
Finally the property has free Wi-Fi Internet connection and air conditioning in the bedrooms and the living room, while winter heating is available in the whole property.

Neighborhood and transport:
Praiano is a lovely village situated in the Amalfi coast between Positano and Amalfi. This small seaside resort has retained its original aspect of a quiet fishing village and it is an ideal starting point for a vacation on the Amalfi Coast, as the other destinations can be easily reached from here, by bus or boat, since it is well connected to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi by the regional SITA bus and by ferries as well.

A 50% deposit is required upon confirmation. The balance is due within 60 days prior to arrival. Minimum stay: 5 nights, arrival-departure days flexible

A refundable security deposit of € 250 will be required upon arrival and it will be returned upon departure less any charges in case of damage to the property.
Bed linens and bath towels included in the rental price.

Parking: available on request to book in advance (from 20 € per day)

The photos are accurate. The owner was pleasant and available but not intrusive. The property manager helped us book excellent private transportation. We were 3 couples ranging in age from 65 ish to 80. One is a photographer always in search of a good view. One of the very best views of the trip was from the rooftop patio here! The charm of this area is all the villas clinging to steep cliffs next to the ocean. This means, of necessity, lots of steps. You can’t have the charm without the steps. We arrived by car and the owner met us on a pathway which was primarily horizontal in orientation. I believe it had 50-60 steps but they were not steep and we had very little difficulty taking our own luggage to the villa (we just had carry ons). The owner and/or property manager will arrange porters if you prefer. If you are in good shape you can get to the village and back by a steep pathway which is primarily vertical (200 or so steps) In the village is a small store with fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and other basics. There is a beautiful church (from the 1500s), some restaurants and a tourist office where you can get bus schedules etc. Near the base of the stairs into the village is a bus stop (#7) where you can catch busses to Positano, Amalfi etc. as well as a local bus. If you wish to avoid climbing up the steep steps to return to the villa you may take the local bus to stop #16 which puts you back on the more horizontal path with 50- 60 steps.

Beautiful Property

Beautiful Property

The host, Teresa was very kind and gracious. Contrary to what I was told by the property managers, My Rental Homes, there were steps up and down to reach the property. As the three of us who were travelling are all over 50, this was a concern, so I had called the managers to enquire whether there were stairs involved in getting to the property. They told me there were not. Needless to say, we were disappointed to see that we had to lug our luggage up and down stairs. However, Teresa' son met us at our car, helped to park the car, and helped us with our bags. BUT from that point on the vacation was great. The property is as beautiful as the pictures show. We were very comfortable and the views from 2 of the four balconies were absolutely breathtaking. We estimated the area of the upper terrace to be around 1000 square feet. It was a good place to relax and appreciate the beauty of the Amalfi coast. Wonderful vacation. Thanks Teresa !
