Nice decorations, clean. Very quiet after midnight.
The restaurant tables are literally right outside the bedroom window, and the guest will stay till about 11pm. Some guests were pretty loud...

Pro:
+ besonderes Zimmer in einem Holzhaus
+ gemütliches Kaminzimmer
+ kostenloser Kaffee/Tee
+ sehr sehr gutes Restaurant mit lokalen Produkten (Steak usw.) nebenan
+ Abseits des Mainstream
Con:
- Zimmer Nr. 5 direkt gegenüber vom Restaurant (sehr laut)

This is the first time we have stayed in a yurt. The bed was comfortable, coffee maker, refrigerator, water dispenser and toaster oven were provided. Heater (small) and AC unit (we didn't use) were also there. Our dog was allowed to stay with us.
We were led to believe the bathroom/shower was inside the yurt. We were also assured it was private. It was actually outside the yurt, though not far away, and it was shared with the yurt next door ( which was unoccupied one night). And there was no propane hooked up to heat the shower water.

Amazing location!! dog friendly and Yurts were so cool and spacious :)
the bed was not comfortable. time for a new mattress

Dispite it is quite far from the road, if you seek quietness this is the place to be.
The front desk was polite.
I know it's a ranch and it's not expected to be close to the city, but this one is quite far from the road (not city) itself, you have to bear that in mind (around 4 miles one way). We arrived late in the first day, the office said they would leave the shop unlocked so in case of need, we could get something there to eat, but when we needed, the shop was closed. They finish the service at 8pm or so. Maybe that's too early if you intend to host people who are driving around. Boulder is NOT a city but a tiny village with poor infrastructure. You are expected to find difficulty getting food or beverages. There is only one gas station.
Working hours of the kitchen is also not suitable. They close too soon.
Right in the morning of the second day, there was NO WATER in the rooms and an explanation or warning never was given. I'm not sure if this is common in a ranch, but at the price that was charged, I guess running water at all times is something that just has to be offered. We couldn't take showers or even brush our teeth. I wrote to the front door, expecting they would provide us with some compensation whatsoever, but all they did was saying they were sorry. But I was sorry first. And if I hadn't written the complaint, they would never had said anything. Such a disappointment.
The room is also very small, it barely fit the twin bed inside. Could be a hassle to handle a couple with two large luggages like ourselves.

Location. Remote and beautiful. Fantastic to see the universe on a moonless night. Unbelievable amazing night sky. We also walked one of the Ranch's trails. So peaceful and beautiful. Breakfast is good considering how remote from stores the Ranch is for supplies.
Booking.com didn't notify the Ranch of our change of dates. Caused a problem for the Ranch but they sorted it as best they could and very kindly reduced the payment for the inconvenience.

The log home look was cool. Nice property. The restaurant food on site was great.
As soon as we arrived we noticed our bed sheets were dirty. They never changed the sheets from the previous people. It was gross. The towels stank too. The floors were unclean. There were cobwebs in the bathroom.

I couldn't figure out if breakfast was free so I didn't go. The room was ok, but cramped and right next to the restaurant so very noisy til late and then again early a.m. I left one day early because it was not condusive to sleep. Also, the power went out for 2 hours, but no one provided updates on what happened.
Friendly staff, great restaurant. Log cabin type rooms. Off the beaten path.

It is in a really gorgeous, off the beaten path place. The cabins, main lodge and other buildings are beautiful, rustic and comfortable.
The beds were…a little too squishy.

Staff was exceptional. Great view. Room was great. Property was large and slightly remote. Nice hiking on the property. The property is often used as a sight for weddings.
A bit of a drive out of Escalante.

beautiful location, room had a terrace, breakfast included,
only one bed was made when we arrived, upon enquiry regarding the second bed for the kids, we were given sheets to make the beds ourselves…
corners in the room very dirty
breakfast dishes partially dirty
one morning the staff had forgotten to buy/defrost bread for breakfast and it took a while to source it

clean , quiet , great site
No A/C in the room and it’s the middle of summer , it was hard to sleep .

Food pretty good. Breakfast ok--wish you had a chef to make an omelet.
At the turnoff from the main highway, the only sign says "Salt Gulch." I think someone stole the "Burr Trail Road" sign--so we couldn't find you. Get on the highway department to replace the sign! Also, we were in unit 4 (I think) overlooking the dining area, and the bed was quite uncomfortable. I think you need to replace the mattress--I almost fell off while asleep!

Great staff, fantastic on-site restaurant, perfect if you want something out of the way and unique.
Remote location, hauling our bags and gear up many outside steps

The property is close to the main hub in Boulder (~10 mins from Hell’s Backbone Grill). it’s also close to sooo many beautiful hikes/drives!
We’ve stayed in the teepees and the yurt and both are clean and comfortable! sitting on the deck in the sunshine (or stargazing after a long day of hiking) is one of life’s greatest simple pleasures.
Nothing! it’s great and we love it.

Fantastic meals. We dined two nights in a row. The property is beautiful and quite unique!
We stayed in room 5 which was very small and right next to the kitchen/dining area. It was very loud due to other guests moving and visiting right outside our door until late in the evening.

After 10 days on the road with a family of 4 visiting Zion, Bryce, and Capitol Reef - we were elated to arrive at BMGR. Super relaxed and with a genuine spirit after some of the cookie cutter motels we’d been to. We stayed in cabin 2 and just loved it. Furnishings were charming and the space gave us ample room to breathe. The takeout lunch was stupendous and provided a real treat on our hike to upper calf creek falls
There was some confusion about whether or not there was breakfast on the morning we checked out, but it wasn’t a big deal

Beautiful setting, gorgeous grounds, loved the proximity to Escalante.
Only challenge was we arrived at night, so it was hard to find.

Very authentic place with friendly staff....not the usual hotel. Great for families who love low-key places and the outdoors.
Wifi not reliable

Property was beautiful. Location was excellent. Far enough to feel more remote but close to Boulder and not too far from Escalate. Staff was amazing!
The cabin we stayed in could have used a good top to bottom cleaning. We were comfortable, but found hairs on the bed linens and dust cobwebs in the corners, on the fans, and draped along the exposed wood beams. Even with that, we’d stay here again because overall our experience was excellent.

location and decorations
Heater light in the bedrooms cannot be turned off and limited water flow for shower head. lack of light in the dining area.

I love the view and the location
no access to staff and or food near by

Very little.
They use plugin fragrance. I'm allergic. No insulation between floors or main lodge. You hear talking, walking, everything. And they can stay up all night. Restaurant expensive and not very good. I left at dawn even though I was booked for 3 nights. Lost $$ but found a better accommodation.

An excellent place to relax and refresh your self. Meals at the Sweet Water Grill were excellent. Owners are committed to being good stewards of the land. One of outcome of their wetland restoration project is the return of beavers to the stream. Grass fed beef and locally grown produce are used at the Sweet Water Grill. High recommendations for staying here. We look forward to returning here in the future.
No complaints. Staff went out their way to meet our needs.

We had a second story room and it was nice to sit outside on the deck. Enjoyed the restaurant. It is very quiet and the views are quite lovely.
The breakfast box given to us the night before, was 4 hardboiled eggs, two pretty dry muffins, two apples. The room has only coffee, and you could not buy any juice or tea at the store in the property, it had mostly beer and water. In the room there were no plates, S&P or utensils. There is a fridge, toaster oven, and bar stools so they are planning on the guests eating in the rooms so unclear why there is nothing there except coffee mugs. The restaurant gave us some paper plates and S & P packets. A mouse visited our room a few times. We found a trap but it had no bait. It was quite hot and the fan in our room only had one speed as the remote control was missing.

Beautiful property and very quiet at night

The Yurt was clean. The woman at the desk was marvelous! Having the bathrooms and shower at a walking distance was no fun.
A yurt isn't my cup of tea. It was claustrophobic. I don't think it would be that difficult to have a plastic curtain on the front.
