Location to downtown is great. Room was clean spacious and comfortable. Lobby is decorated with Alaskan decor and very well done. Staff was great. Highly recommend staying here.
A little pricey but average for the area.
4.0
Bed was comfortable. Wifi was quick. Good shower. Ice machine was nice. Room well sized.
For the price we payed, breakfast should have been included.

Location was excellent. Staff was very professional and courteous.
No complaints.
4.5
An older hotel with a lobby that is full of character. We stayed in the old wing with shared bathrooms, which we had no problem accessing. Room and bathroom were both good size and comfortable. Location is very close to Sealife center and several bars, restaurants, gift shops. Shuttle from railroad was efficient and the staff were lovely. They're really geared up for guests dropping their baggage when the railroad gets in in the morning but check in is 4pm
Given that this is on the affordable end of accommodation in Seward, we really enjoyed our stay. Sprinkler system pipes on the room ceiling etc look rather old fashioned, so if you're all about clean lines maybe this is not for you! There is a bar and restaurant, but other options close by seemed more attractive. Breakfast is available at the sister hotel over the street, but again, we used other options close by.

Very comfortable, good location
Shuttle service was disorganised.

The Cabin on the Cliff was pretty easy to find, very cozy, had extra blankets/etc, and the hottub and view were fantastic.
The Cabin on the Cliff is getting fairly worn down. There were multiple things in the cabin that were broken such as the faux fireplace, a stone missing from the platform underneath it, and a fair bit of rot in certain spots on the deck (probably from chlorine from the hottub). There are some tree tops that are now starting to block a bit of the view.

Location
Water wasn’t working within our room that we paid an additional fee for. Talked to the front desk and was promised a discounted rate. Never heard back from them after check out and have called multiple times.
4.5
Excellent location! We checked in super late and Justin at the front desk made it super easy. The 3 bedroom house was very functional and a good fit for our party of 5. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was basic, and the bathroom was spacious. It was ideal for our one night stay in Seward.
The house was a bit dated and some areas just looked old, especially the kitchen. Also, homes with multiple rooms and a single bathroom seem to be common in Alaska, but that is far from ideal for a group of 5 persons.
3.5
The location was wonderful
There was no breakfast served.
3.5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Walking distance to restaurants and the Sea Life center.
Old creaky building with thin walls and floor so you can hear everybody walking above you. If you are a light sleeper that could be a problem because you hurt everybody walking around above or maybe book a top floor room.
3.5
the view , the hot tub was nice.
no heat , or hot water . we could have contacted manager , but we did not because it was late when we came in after being in hot tub . if we had contacted them , maybe it would have been corrected , so we will give them that . but something to keep in mind if choosing to stay there. check heat and water when you get there .

Great location and clean room
Very pricey for a small room with a shared toilet/shower. There is a sink in the room, and all of this was known beforehand, so the bathroom situation wasn't a con for us. Just the price!

Staff was really helpful. Its was clean and warm.
4.5
The staff are very friendly. They gave us good suggestions about food and drinks places
The bed covers are a little old

It’s a beautiful lobby and very nice room.
There is a building right next to our room, blocking the view, which we didn’t know. It was full, so we couldn’t change rooms.
5.0
Two separate bedrooms and great deck with hot tub.
was not part of the hotel and does not have shuttle service and is not on the free bus line
5.0
Great family run hotel. Loved the stuffed animals throughout the lobby. Waiting for us when the train arrived and took us back to the train station in the evening.
4.5
Beautiful hotel in middle of everything! Great & cordial staff.
2.5
we stayed in the “historic” part of the hotel. read “dated and run down”
4.0
close to restaurants and shuttle bus
good view of mountains over the tops of buildings
bulky furniture in the room so
microwave, coffee and fridge were
in the bathroom

Nice location
poor service and value. no heat in room.
3.5
Great location and it was clean
They advertise they provide shuttle service to the cruise, but doesn't leave until 11am. The cruise checkin is 7am or 1030am so their shuttle service didn't help. I was told i would need to get a taxi or use city's free shuttle. Which would be ok if it wasn't pouring rain and all cab companies were too busy to come. The city shuttle was only 2 blocks away, but i got drenched, along with both suitcases, walking there.
The room was basic. Super old and small TV. And my room picked up all the noise from the downstairs bar.
3.5
Well located
Room was not very clean (we found empty bottles from previous customers, hairs...)
