The room was comfortable. Location of the room was perfect.

Cabin style and jacuzzi
The smell when walking through hallway of my room 55. It was making nausea

Nice location and great continental breakfast!

The location and staff were excellent. The outside of the building is very cute
It was very outdated. Very wild floral wallpaper which was not shown in the photos online. The heater or water heater makes a very loud sound in the middle of the night. The furniture and carpet were very worn down and there was a strong odor in the room.

Location is good. The front desk is very nice!

Front desk took extremely good care of us. Definitely recommend to anyone. Near the village. We walked there and back with no issues. About 1 mile round trip! We had the cabin in the back corner. Gretchen
My only complaint was I could hear kids screaming in the mornings lol

Great location. The Village and the lake were both within walking distance. I also loved having my own little balcony. The pool looked lovely, even though I didn’t use it. The coffee available and the reception area was excellent, and I loved having the ice machine so nearby my room. Room, it’s obviously enormous, with a lovely fireplace.
Crossing the very busy highway to get to the lake side. The old furnishings had their pros and cons. I loved the big desk in the room, which allowed me to do watercolour painting. On the negative side, the old thick rug was clean, but probably full of dust because I did a lot of sneezing when I came back in every evening.

Loved the scenery and how cozy-looking both the lobby and the room was. Enjoyed a neat little 5-minute swim as well after I had stayed overnight. Overall an acceptable experience you'd get from a more cheaper hotel.
I'd suggest either asking for a fan or staying over for the winter. The room was quite warm during the night and I had trouble sleeping even with the cooler on and the blankets off. TV was pretty glitchy too as it froze every few minutes while watching.

Quiet, comfortable bed.
A little stiff on the pet fee- $60/night/pet- should advertise better to third party websites, but will probably say not their responsibility until they lose enough business.

I liked how peaceful it was and walking distance between everything local.
The room was really hot. when I started the bath the water was a strange color and smell.

Room was not ready and not clean we have to wait in our car around 30 minutes to get in

Great location, and the front desk staff member was wonderful! He addressed my room issue (barking dog next door) immediately and was very friendly. Very comfortable bed and convenient parking. I really only needed a quiet place to sleep for maybe 6 hours so it was perfect!
The coffee in the rooms is good and they also have more coffee in the reception building. Coffee is very important to me haha.
While the shower curtain was falling off, the shower itself was fine!
I love that it’s pet friendly, but barking dogs in two different buildings were an issue. Thankfully the barking stopped when the guests returned to their rooms so it was quiet at night.
The portable AC unit was somehow disconnected from the vent to the window, which I didn’t notice for about an hour as the room filled with hot air. I’m an adult so it was not a big deal for me to move the furniture so I could access the back of the unit and reconnect it.
Both times I’ve stayed here, I found that the only table at which to eat or work or whatever is outside the room on the shared outdoor walkway, and in 95 degree heat that’s not where I wanted to be. I would love even a small side table or something in the room!

Street appearance
No air conditioning and toilet bowl was small, maybe suitable for young kids.

The best things were the giant jacuzzi tub in the room (bring mr. bubbles for a bubble bath) and i liked having a fridge and i like it being so close to the ski lifts, the staff was helpful and friendly. breakfast was minimal. the lobby is super nice. the feeling of the whole place is a classic german village i really liked that. i didnt use the pool or public spa.
our room was right by the road but honestly it was quiet, there was plenty of parking, no complaints i would love to return

Great staff, very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The kind gentleman at reception allowed us to check-in early. Great location and close to The Village and Pine Knott Marina. Walking was only 5-10 minutes.
Outdated facilities and cabin, definitely needs a remodel throughout. We had ants in kitchen and bathroom upon our arrival. Keep in mind the location is on the main road and not in a desolate wooded area. Curtains were fairly old and sheer, while some did not cover entire window so could see into cabin at night. Hot tub was just warm water, no jets. Didn’t find property worth the value for what we paid.
3.7
The spa tub was very nice
The towels were stained the walls in bathroom were dirty. No closet to hang clothes or ironing board. Was in room by main road was super loud from traffic.

The location
The location was good. The property needs a lot of maintenance. Unfortunately we were given a room with a bathtub that has cracks and leaks and it didn’t look very clean. I contacted the front desk and they agreed to move me to another room but it seem that all the rooms with spa tubs, the the tubs were cracked and it put a damper in our experience. The front desk man with the dark horn rimmed glasses was pretty condescending and rude.
3.7
The location of the hotel was good, close to the lake.
There is a small window in the room, and at night with the lamp on inside the room, everything inside can be seen. Therefore, there is a privacy issue.

When we walked into our room, the carbon monoxide alarm was going off - saying “WARNING: CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTED”, which was unsettling in itself. Then we went to the front desk to tell them, and they gave us room keys to another room in the same building, where we could hear the alarm going off and felt anxious about how this wasn’t being taken care of/prioritized.
We ended up requesting a refund and staying elsewhere, since we did not feel particularly safe staying at a place where there was carbon monoxide detected, and the employees did little to check it out. We asked if they planned to call a gas company to come out and check out the room, and they said no, maintenance would take a look.

Staff was great, and very accommodating.
We had an issue with the first room they gave us, but it was quickly and easily rectified.

Great customer service, awesome room with comfortable beds/pillows and fireplace. Close to everything, good vibes, just overall great place to stay.
3.7
The location was close to everything, and only a four minute drive to the slopes.
The spa bath was great after a day of skiing!
The lights from the street and parking lot kept the room dimly lit at night, so it was hard to get a good nights sleep. The street traffic also got pretty loud.
The bedside lamp looked damaged and there looked to be black resin underneath it. And it didn’t work. I didn’t want to touch it.
3.7
Near the down town village! Just a couple of minutes driving.
The man at the front counter was very nice and helpful
