This is the second LA Quinta I have stayed at in the Las 2 years. One was in Louisiana and the other here in Hobbs, NM. The
problem was the same at both hotels:1) Both hotels are run down. 2). Both hotels' swimming pools were closed. In July, with 100-degree heat!

Nice staff

Sorry, we were unable to make the trip.
3.4
The room was big, had things like microwave and mini fridge, desk chair and little chair.
Took forever to check in, the man at the counter checked everyone in so fast and then we had to wait like 10 minutes. The other person at the counter was apparently having an issue at her house, I wasn’t aware of. I didn’t feel good and just needed to eat and sleep.
3.4
very clean and comfortable the breakfast was great
no complaints

Everything was good except pool closed and that’s why I chose it I was expecting to relax in a pool. But it was closed
The closed pool. That was my main reason for choosing it. It was nice but no pool was a let down
3.4
there was no soap or shampoo and room smelled like weed,
3.4
They didn't clean up the fridge at all. There were an opened coke and an opened water.
3.4
it was clean, nicely maintained and the location was ideal.
The pool was still closed.
3.4
clean and well maintained property. staff was friendly, courtious, and immediately available when needed. Very welcoming of pets and they have a very nice pet relief area with STOCKED pet waste bags/ disposal receptacle. The pet area has nicely maintained grass and is located in the rear of hotel so away from traffic/ main street, parking lot, noise and any distractions that may interfere with traveling pet anxieties.
Shower had less than desirable water pressure. There was excessive mineral/ calcium build up on shower head minimizing water release. the walls are a little thin and we were able to hear the TV and phone conversations from the room next door. one of the outlets on the nightstand lamp did not work, as well as one on the wall.
3.4
We wished the pool was open but we understood.
3.4
It’s was ok not
Some of it wasn’t fresh
3.4
it was clean and staff was nice until there was a problem.
breakfast sucked, but that’s normal. the manager and I got into over my payment method and continued to explain to me that her 12 years of experience overshadowed my inconvenience. she never apologized and wouldn’t hear me out at all. no big deal because I’ll never set foot in Hobbs New Mexico ever again.
3.4
Room was comfortable and clean
Needs new carpet in the halls and our room had rust on the door frame.
3.4
met all my needs for the stay and an affordable price.
the carpet seemed a bit dirty and in need of better vacuuming

The staff is very rude and full of assumption’s. We were called “locals and homeless” by front desk Irene and manager Nick Lopez. My husband and I hadn’t seen each other in 3 weeks due to him living and working in Texas. He did provide his Texas ID. He asked me to book reservations at a hotel nearby my home because I am currently living in a 2-bed apartment I have 2 teen kids and I sleep on the couch. We wanted privacy and of course to sleep comfortably. Also, I do not have a vehicle at the moment it’s in the shop getting a new engine. Our second and last night there my husband surprised me with a romantic flower pedals on the bed type of thing. I have pictures and videos to show. We picked it all up except a few tiny green leaves which the vacuum could pick up easily. That morning my husband surprised me with breakfast in bed in which he moved the table closer to the bed to set food and drinks on so we would not spill on the bed. We checked out and left, because my husband was supposed to leave back to Texas that day. I began to get alerts on my card where La Quinta was trying to take money out of my account. First it was $100, 50, then 20 in a matter of seconds. We never received a call or email letting us know what was going on or why my card was charged when my husband’s card was the one that should of been charged if any charges needed to be made. So we made another reservation the day after my husband got was able to get 2 more days off to fix some issues here in Hobbs before he left back to Texas. We got to La Quinta at 1 Irene front desk rudely says we cannot check in until 3 we said ok that’s fine so I tell my husband to sit and wait I needed to use the restroom. I asked Irene if it was ok I use the restroom she ignored me kept looking at her computer screen then so I stood there looking at her until she looks up and says it’s around the corner I replied I know where it’s at I asked you if it was ok by you that I use it and she just stayed quiet no reply.
We leave the hotel to return at 3 for check in. I suddenly get a charge of $100 on my card again. I call and Irene tells me to call manager Nick Lopez. I call Nick and he tells me we are no longer welcome at the facility for leaving the room “a disaster”. I asked what he assumed was a disaster? He said there was flower petals all over the floor and we moved a table. I told him yes the table was moved for a romantic breakfast in bed. As far as the flower pedals that was false we picked most of it there was a few tiny green leaves left on the floor which could of been vaccumed up easily. He responded and y’all are locals so that’s why we charged $100 and restricted y’all. I explained to him the accusations were false and he just did not want to hear anything I said he even said I was lucky he didn’t charge me $250.

Thank you
Cable service is bad. Bad signal

Great location
Didn’t really get to have breakfast. I went down at 8:30 and there was no more waffle mix. Or sausage. Our restroom light switch would not stay on.
3.4
The breakfast was ok. The eggs were watery but the bacon was great. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
This is my fourth or fifth time staying at this hotel within the last 3 years. It’s starting to look run down. The curtains and carpet were stained and the toilet was wobbly. It’s needs to be updated.
