The location is terrific - a quick walk to the Crested Butte bus and back. It's a nice affordable option for this area. The breakfast also offers a great variety.

Hard to control the heat / cool, the bed is a bit sunken in, but the king suite was spacious and roomy.

The hot tub was hot, the breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, and fluffy biscuits and tasty sausage gravy. The beds were firm.

The heater ran all night even when you set it on STOP. It would blow hot, then cold. It was not a comfortable temperature for sleeping. The tv hdmi jack was broken but the maintenance guy rigged it up so we could watch tv.

Hot tub was out of service and we were not offered a discount on our 5 night stay. It would have been nice to enjoy the warmth of the spa to rejuvenate at the end of a long day of hunting on the mountains!

We were very disappointed the pool was closed. It’s an advertised amenity and one of the only reasons we chose this hotel. I booked online and noticed the sign on the pool door at check-in. At this point it was too late to cancel our stay and go to a different hotel that actually had a functional pool. If the pool is not operational it should not be advertised as an amenity. This is deceptive and false advertising and I am very disappointed to not have received the services promised upon booking.

breakfast was basic with paper plates and plastic cutlery one concerning point is my credit card showed 4 separate overnight charges in the pending section. spoke with reception and they said you have been charged once which is correct and that is showing on my card. Two of the pending charges have been removed but one is still showing in pending. why is this?

Our bathroom had actual holes in the wall above the trim. For a hotel that looks like they’ve done a remodel, this is ridiculous. They clearly have replaced the trim with a much shorter option and didn’t fix the entire perimeter of the bathroom wall above it. It looked and felt gross bc of this. The window sill was also so gross and filthy. It has clearly never been cleaned. We found the bed to be very hard and uncomfortable. The biggest complaint was the indoor pool and spa. It is horribly gross. The pool was ok. Obviously old and not kept up as well as it could be, but it was simply “ok.”The spa was just nasty. It needs to be drained and acid washed or scrubbed and the green little holes that aren’t supposed to be green need to be addressed. The bottom of the spa shouldn’t have brown and black coloring on it. I honestly felt creeped out. When you open the door to the pool area, the inside of the door looks like it has something growing on it. Upon check in, we were never greeted with a smile or welcomed in any way. The manager or owner or whoever he is has zero customer service skills and we did not feel welcomed or comfortable at all. It was awkward to be honest. After a day and a half, we we were not happy and wanted to check out a day early. We called to notify the front we would check out early and leave before check out time the next day, and he proceeds to tell us he’ll have to check our booking because they might charge us even if we leave. Excuse me?? When I tried to explain how unacceptable that is and why we wanted to leave, he interrupted me and then hung up on me!! He did not care at all that we weren’t happy with our stay. This hotel is not concerned with your happiness and willingness to return. Just with getting your money. So I called Booking customer service and they handled everything for me. I would rather find an air bnb next time. Our friends stayed in a very nice one that was clean and comfortable just down the road.
