Very clean, staff was great! Location was perfect.

The room is cozy with a fireplace and a spa tub.
The breakfast was a very simple fare.

Huge room with many extras not usually found in a hotel, like a double headed shower with double sized tub, fireplace with 2 vintage chairs. Indoor plants and waterfall.
Family owned for generations.
No downside

The hotel had this rustic theme to it, the patio was nice and private. All the essentials were working, bed was comfortable. Great location! Close to the brewery’s and restaurants.

The atmosphere is very old world, I felt like I was in Mexico in the 1920s. This property has charm for days. I love that its not a chain or a corporate hotel. The property is a family business which is awesome. There were several young women running things, and they did a fantastic job. We stayed 2 nights and service was excellent. The continental breakfast was good, not great, but, they have waffle makers , boiled eggs, cereal , fruit and yogurt. I would have liked more protein choices. Overall ,it was enough.
I didn’t like having old school keys, we had one key for the room and one key for the front door of the hotel for late evening access. The common areas of the hotel need a little attention, a bit tired looking. Maybe they need to redecorate a little. No major complaints. Also , expand the breakfast a little.

It’s in town, easy walking to mission and restaurants. Good sized-room. I liked the French door out to the balcony. Good-sized shower and tub.
The whole place needs attention. It doesn’t look like the owners are spending the money needed to keep the place up. For the most part, at a glance it looks clean— except for the dirty front glass entrance doors that are in need of cleaning and have printed notes on them that are old and worn— but as you look closer in the rooms, there were several areas that needed attention. A big mucky wet mess on the bathroom floor, dripped toothpaste or shaving cream on the door and dirt and hair in the corners of the tubs. All light switches I had to clean. The sheets were too small for the king size bed. The headboard was a gigantic blue velvet Alice in Wonderland piece whose sides stuck out so much they hindered access to the small night stand. Clearly, someone wanted to make the rooms fancy (chandelier in the wet bar area) but the overall effect was cheap looking and nonfunctional. The room was dark, dark painted walls and lights that were only for decorative purposes. Could not read in the room with the supplied lighting.
There was a full dumpster outside our bedroom window— an upgraded room. It looked like they use the parking lot for parking family cars— some looked not to be in use at all. We were awakened at 4:50 am by someone starting one of these cars a very loud one, that was parked in the corner by the dumpster— not in a designated space. so not a guest.
The Christmas decorations in the lobby were a little shop-worn and the presents under the tree looked like they’d seen better years.
If the room had been less than $100. taxes included, I would have felt okay about it. But for the price, I would not recommend it.

loved the spa tub. nice to be right there in the town. good bed and ambiance. breakfast was nice. Waffles!
the heater was awfully noisy. it was on, then off and cracky noises. a jet engine! too cold not to have it on. slept poorly because of it

Location. Very short walk to Main street and the Mission. Welcoming staff and owner. Spacious room in an old spanish style and ambience.
There was an ice bucket, but no glasses. No coffee maker available in the room.

Everything was mostly very nice and clean in general. There was an WI-FI connection problem and once that was resolved, there was sadly no internet access for the entire visit. (Just as a side note, it would have been nice to be able to light the fire place just for a short 15 minute time slot, for some ambiance. I am assuming it was such off for the summer).

Cozy room with a jacuzzi. Offers breakfast.
Wifi was not working well.

I loved the continental breakfast beds were really comfortable. And the location was great for our needs. We were in town for a wedding at the mission church and the venue was at casa Maria

Cozy Spanish Mission Ambiance! Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space. Fridge w/Freezer in room. Jetted tub. Fireplace. Balcony. Waffles at breakfast. A/C worked great! Stayed an additional night.
Beds were firm. Don't forget to ask for a hair dryer. No coffee maker in the room. The bathroom could use some additional cleaning. Some of the stores in old town are closed Mon & Tues.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The entire hotel, including the room, had a lot of character.

Great walking location for enjoying the town. Helpful staff and very clean.
The hotel is ready for a significant remodel. The fixtures and decorations are from the mid 1980's. Functional but tired.

It's our second visit to this hotel. Whirlpool bath tub was fabulous! The private balcony/patio was really nice, could have had tea there the whole afternoon.
Nothing we didn't like.

We were on our honeymoon. Our stay was exceptional romantic, quiet, with a wonderful continental breakfast. We will return and tell others about this jewel of a place.
The pillows could use upgrade. We found them to be too small.

I am allergic to strawberries and dairy ☹️, so I couldn’t eat anything offered for breakfast. Most hotels don’t offer dairy alternatives but 68% of people can’t have dairy.

Liked the room, well lit hallways with skylights. Nice plants everywhere. Everything looked new.
Lots of room to park.
Maybe add some bagels for breakfast?

Excellent stay! Very friendly and helpful staff.

we like the ambience and the decor and it is very central to walking to the main street.
The beds were firm and the pillows were overly firm in my opinion. There was no coffee maker in the room nor a hairdryer. Upon request, a hair dryer was made available very quickly.

A pleasant surprise for this area. The story behind the hotel is priceless, built with vision and love - still maintained by family. I loved my large room with fireplace to enjoy. The owners were so welcoming and helpful.
The curbside appeal was not what appeared in the photos but don't be put off! Walk through the front doors and enjoy an oasis in San Juan Batista!

The room was very spacious and it was very quiet.
I only wish they had coffee maker/pot in the room.

Very clean! The room was very spacious and cozy! Was beautiful and felt historic! Nice fireplace! The Jacuzzi tub was absolutely amazing! They had USB phone chargers in the outlets on each side of the bed which was very handy! The bed was very comfortable very clean and plenty of blankets! The breakfast was really good plenty of things to choose from!
There wasn’t much I didn’t like about the property! The only thing I would say was the price was a little bit high for a Sunday we paid $200 for a one night stay! The TV also was a little bit lacking! There wasn’t a lot of channels to pick him but we weren’t there to watch TV so I really wasn’t that big of a deal!

Nice location, fireplace in room, and great tub.
No hot water most of the time, few amenities.

This is a beautiful historic building in a prime location. The town is an interesting historic monument to Spanish colonial missionary work in California. The rooms are clean and modernised and the front desk folks were polite and efficient.
It would have been nice to have a coffee tea service in the lobby with fruit and snacks and a fridge/microwave in the room.
