The view
I would’ve liked the sheets to be cleaner, had a couple stains. Not dirty just a light stain. I called 2x to from desk trying to locate the entry through the parking garage. I’d suggest a bigger sign or an extra sign closest to the entrance of garage with arrow. The male on duty never once said that the entrance through the garage is closed from 12am-6am. So my boyfriend walked a VERY long route just to turn around and have to walk out of the parking garage, to the front. (He just tore a ligament in his ankle.) I suggest the front desk tell ppl ahead that they have to come through the front from 12-6 or put it on the front door, instead of JUST the garage door entrance (bc tht was quite a walk, felt unsafe as is bc we were so late getting in, while in a confusing parking lot.

Not much.
The staff were horrible, unengaged, incapable of doing the basics. First, the key card didn't work. Then, the card to enter the parking garage didn't work properly, so I had to get out of the car, leaving it there while blocking traffic because there was no backing out, to get a new card. The overnight attendant was annoyed he had to interrupt his personal phone call to only, of course not help us anyway. And our entire floor was saturated with a weed smell ... really classy. There's more, but I'll leave it with this.

Convenient
Nothing

Location was near a lot of things we visited. Room was clean and comfortable.
Staff wasn’t rude or unkind, but wasn’t overly friendly or helpful. The hotel is a brick building next to a children’s hospital, so we almost missed it. Paid for parking which we aren’t used to.

Staff were nice. Cookies were good. Everyone was quiet in the evening.
AC was broken in the lobby, and I have health conditions where I cannot tolerate heat well. Nothing was ever mentioned in the booking or on the hotel website about construction, so the parking garage was HORRIBLE. There’s no way to get into the hotel from the garage without walking right back out through where cars are driving in. Room was not ready until almost 4:45. Room was much smaller than anticipated, and AC controls didn’t work (at least it wasn’t as hot in the room). Shower leaked/dripped alllllll night long and had gross stains. Bathroom ceiling was cracked and loose from water damage above. Wifi was difficult to access on child devices.

The access to hospital. A tub and shower
There was no complimentary breakfast.

Very close to the Children’s hospital, making it getting to appointments much easier.
Room was never cleaned for the week we were there, ran out of toilet paper and was never brought any after requesting it from the front desk several times. Had to go to public restroom to get toilet paper several times.

Breakfast was ok. I paid for a room that included breakfast. The hotel said it did not include breakfast and charged my room. Removed charge once I showed the booking confirmation.
The woman who checked us in was very rude. Raised her voice at me asking for a room number when we had just gotten there and didn’t have a room number yet.

They had our reservation in their computer, and we found our room without difficulty. It was quiet in the room. It is very close and convenient to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital complex, where we had appointments: There is a covered walkway to the Center for Advanced Medicine.
The tub/shower has no anti-slip surface. There are no grab rails in the shower. The toilet is the lowest to the floor I've ever seen. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. There were no spare towels or washcloths—only one per person. There are no towel racks anywhere—you have to throw your wet towels over the shower curtain rail. The front desk personnel didn't seem very friendly, and the night shift attendent was almost hostile when I had to knock on her door to talk with her.

We liked that it was connected to the hospital I was having surgery early the next morning
The staff showed no empathy regarding the reason we were staying there. Barnes jewish hospital staff told me there was a discount provided to patients and this was even advertised online however I was informed by the front desk manager that wasn't true and they didn't give those. And because we used booking.com we weren't eligible for a discount. The next morning 12/22 I requested additional towels at 4AM and was told the rep couldn't leave the front desk and a associate would bring them at 8AM.
My husband ended up needing a room for another night on 12/22 and we were told all that was available was a suite for $200 which was more than we wanted to pay the reason he needed the room is because after my surgery I was put in a semi private room and my husband couldn't stay with me. Now when I went on booking.com I found there was a king room for $165 on 12/22 so the hotel staff lied. The hotel front desk manager refused to tell me her name when I called later in the evening to request is they could check the room for my prescription glasses that were lost stating they couldn't leave the desk to check. When my husband went there to physically check request they check the room he was rudely told they would call if something was found. To date, 12/26 our card has yet to have the charged processed in our account leaving a pending transaction for 5 days now.
We will never again book a room here .....ever . The staff was rude, the parking is over priced, and to boot they advertise breakfast for free and then charge $12.00
Shame shame shame
I feel as a patient I was totally taken advantage of and lied to and like they were trying to rip my husband off when he asked about other rooms the second night.
Pretty bad when the front desk manager refused to provide their name.

The property is adjacent to my cancer treatment facility.
