They cancelled our accommodation on us! The receptionist couldn't give us any reason. We asked if they had any spare rooms, but she said they were fully booked. Then I checked our booking and found a message (dated that morning, while we were in an aeroplane from New Zealand) saying they (Wingate) had cancelled our booking due to the recent storm causing electrical problems and that their hotel was closed. A contradictory statement to what the receptionist said.

El alojamiento es cómodo, sobre todo la cama es genial, habitación espaciosa con sala de estar, nos llevaron de forma gratuita hacia el aeropuerto de ida. Con desayuno incluido
El desayuno es tipo buffet pero es bastante pobre con las elecciones, sabíamos que tenían posibilidad de acercamiento al aeropuerto, nos comunicamos dos días antes para la recogida sin respuesta por medio de chat booking, su único sistema de búsqueda es por llamada telefónica pero tenía eSIM por lo que no me permitía llamado, la chica que nos recibió bastante amable igual que la vez anterior, y el otro chico era indiferente. Para alojarse una noche para escala es una opción cómoda.

We didn’t have time for breakfast because we had an early flight to return to Alaska.
The bed was very comfortable. The towels were small and thin.
That we were awakened by a screaming fire alarm at 4:22am, when in fact there was no fire or emergency.

Easy to get picked up by shuttle and taken back to airport, great for an overnight transfer!
Cleanliness was lacking a bit, had to ask for another room as the first one given was not yet cleaned (dirty sheets piled on chair, floor not vacuumed) but the new room that was given was nice!

Es ist ein typisches Flughafenhotel nur wenige Fahrminuten vom IAH entfernt. Daher war die Lage für eine Nacht vor dem Abflug OK.
Beim Frühstück war kein Hotelpersonal anwesend. Daher war der Kaffee, das Brot und andere Sachen leider leer und wurden erst spät nachgefüllt.

The TV didn't work, the bath tub was discussing with a rubber mat in it that had mold and dirt underneath it.

Could not reach the inn for shuttle pick up. They did not return my message in the app either from days earlier. Had to pay 30 US for a cab. Place were run by young people who were not knowledgeable and did not seem to care.

Imagine having booked and PAID for a hotel room in January 2023, only to arrive at the hotel in September 2023 in the evening after a long journey and be told that your reservation has been canceled due to a payment decline. The baffling part? I had paid in full back in January! To make matters worse, they sent a message on the same day as the check-in, which I couldn't read because I was on a flight. It was an incredibly frustrating and inconvenient experience.

The location great spot.
Well the front girl was on her phone. She missed me asking twice. For her to make sure .my room was serviced that day. But evening desk person made it right. And had my room serviced. The hotel needs new mattresses they were a little comfortable.

They had a shuttle.
The fire alarm for the room was disconnected from the wall and the fire alarm in the hall was beeping like the batteries needed to be changed. The water had a concerning taste. The included breakfast seemed more of a box checking effort versus something they expected guest to eat. The elevator needs maintenance, I opted for the stairs after one ride.

Perfect for one night, if you have an overnight stay and need to go back to the airport in the morning.
No good restaurants around the airport, only fast food options.

The new manager was more than accommodating and she was so wonderful. And so so patient! She deserves more than a raise. She was doing multiple peoples jobs and she never said a negative thing about working her butt off. We had to change rooms and she made sure it was the perfect room.
The smell was horrible. So floral. And the lobby smelled like weed 24/7. Our room didn’t have a chair or any seating aside from the bed. The bathroom smelled like stale pee. (The manager came and put odorizer twice) But the fan wasn’t working and it was rancid. We weren’t even able to shower.

There was no mirror in the bathroom or anywhere in the room! The furniture has stains on it that looked unappealing to sit on. The walls have pain spots that haven’t been fixed. The tub water does not drain properly. The rail in the tub was broken and I literally almost fell trying to shower.
No mirror, no do not disturb sign, paint spots throughout the walls! I expected a better quality for this hotel

The pool was so dirty that nobody had the courage to use it. There is no public transit close by. All you have is the airport, no restaurant, convenience store... nothing.

The breakfast was absolutely horrible and it wasn't even considered a breakfast. They shouldn't even tell people that they are offering breakfast. The staff was ok and the room was ok for the price. I rate it as a low ok.
They definitely need to do better on the breakfast. And there were too many homeless looking coming in and out. Everytime we walked in or out very strange looking people hanging around.

Way overrated. The place is in disrepair. Room needs painted. Bathroom fan broken with no cover. Bath hand bar ripped out of wall. Over half of the bulbs were missing.or not working. Missing wash clothes. Soiled furniture. Dirty carpet. I could go on. Never again here. The second time I trusted the booking.com rating and was extremely disappointed.

The lobby and frontdesk looks nice and neat.
The staffs were accommodating.
They put more work on the lobby than the room itself. The rooms were not clean, mold on the ceiling at 3rd floor and smell of mold. I was then moved to first floor and the moment you walked in the room it smells like somebody been smoking in there the whole day and the carpet needs major cleaning. I was informed that the hotel was a non-smoking hotel when I checked in and where advertised as is. I didn't bother to get another room. I checked in and out in less than an hour and book another hotel.
