Hated to leave..

Great hosts! All calls and questions were answered immediately. Great welcome. Perfect location. ❤️ Comfortable room even though it was small. Coffee, water, and small snacks were offered. We would stay again.

Our room was on the bottom floor, but there isn't an elevator, so pack light.

GREAT!

Breakfast was scarce. All dry foods except the pancake maker that was really cool. I recommend some fruits and maybe a mini fridge with yogurt

Nice place to stay, room was clean and we did have a view of the harbor from our window.

I appreciated the quick phone call to our room after we checked in when I had inadvertently left my cell phone at the front desk. Check in went smoothly and we were told that a continental breakfast was available in the morning. So learning we could get coffee and a snack was good to know. Wanting to explore the town in the morning before meeting friends we just grabbed some coffee and a granola bar, but it looked like they also had instant oatmeal, muffins, (everything individually wrapped) and some kind of touchless automatic pancake machine.

The day before our arrival I received a phone call from the hotel asking what time we would be checking in. As I didn't have that information with me at the time I told her I would call her back. I tried to return that call 2-3 times with no answer, then I tried a couple of other phone numbers for the property and again no answer. Nonetheless our check in went fine and I did relay this information about the phone call to the front desk. I will say that the property is a bit of a maze with a lot of pathways and stairs to get to the different levels, as our room was on the 4th floor and no elevator we had quite a hike, so I'm glad we only had 3 large shoulder bags with us for our one night stay. We did find a back way into the property very close to our room, but you had to go up a very steep incline to get to it. FYI many properties in Avalon are like this, especially those that are not on Crescent Street which is flat and faces the beach, otherwise the city has a lot of steep inclines in some areas, but with those elevations come great views! Not something I didn't like, but just an FYI to be prepared.

Very pleasant

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Great mattress and bedding. The housekeepers were very helpful and even offered to carry my luggage up the stairs. Good room amenities.

Someday might want to put in an elevator.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Staff was very friendly and the place is super cute. Perfect for a weekend and love that it’s just a short walk to the main area.

Hotel common areas and rooms need updated and cleaned.

Location from downtown area.

Overall the facilities needs updated and specifically the rooms need a complete overhaul. Common areas and rooms are dirty. We asked for extra towels and they were rags with holes in them.

Perfect!

I will say… the price was super affordable! I was initially going to stay elsewhere but I gave this spot a chance & I’m so glad I did. The staff were so nice! We had heavy luggages and our check in was at 3pm but the owner told us we could leave our stuff with them earlier than that. (9am)!!! 😅 We were stoked! The room was ready for us and super clean. We got an amazing view of the entire city on the 3rd floor! Not only that… they also allowed us to leave our luggages with them until the last day of our trip even tho we had already checked out! 🙏🏻 5 stars well deserved!

A great place to stay for a weekend in Avalon.

Staff was incredible accommodating and friendly. Room was better than expected and the bed was very comfortable.

Neighbor's shower woke me up super early.

Perfect for our stay preparing for hiking the trail!

This property is adorable! Just up the street from the waterfront next to the Museum…..cute and the rooms were lovely.

The steps are a huge drawback. If you have a lot of luggage, you need to consider this.

I love Catalina!

No breakfast or coffee provided No top sheet on bed, slept directly under the blanket. No elevator to 3rd floor room. Advertisement showed view of the ocean. Our room looked into the laundry room. No available luggage storage on Sunday.

Staff is unavailable lobby is closed early and opens late. No amenities, no coffee until after 8:00 no food service, no daily housekeeping during my weekend stay.

The location was within walking distance from the ferry.

Beds were awful, room was right on road which is very noisy, room was not very clean. Not much room to move around in room. Hotel is very dated. Very expensive room for what you get.

Sorry I stayed there!

I was told there would be a balcony. It was tiny and faced the local church. I wanted ocean view. Was nothing as advertised! The office guy, was no help. I was supposed to have tea/coffee maker in room. No 👎
