Room was old and it smelled bad

everything
nothing

The Facilities were older but clean. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The communication was very good from the staff
It was an older facility that could use some updating
4.5
I bet families love the large indoor pool! I would have joined in the fun but I have not been swimming since covid hit.
The facilities were clean, quiet and a grand place for families. Since I use a walker and I booked ahead the management was able to put me on the entry floor!
The stuffed chair was in the way of the walker and I was afraid I would fall if I tried to move it. I did not tell anyone because I was gone all day. (My fault entirely.)

No breakfast. Coffee machine out of order. No coffee or filters in room, hard to find person to ask questions to.
Having a coffee machine in lobby that works and a lite breakfast area . Need new couch for sure.

Location was good. Plenty of towels. Staff was nice.
Sofa bed was very uncomfortable.
4.0
The location was perfect for our attendance at a wedding in Banner Elk. It was very convenient to restaurants and shopping as well. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. The area surrounding the hotel was beautiful. We spent very little time actually at the site but found it comfortable.
The place is a little dated, although the bathroom and kitchenette had recently been refurbished.
2.5
It had an efficiency style kitchen.
The road traffic was horrendous. The air conditioner was very loud. The halls and look of the inside building was poorly lit and smelled dank. The bed was soft.

To many steps to climb

Very beautiful rooms and very peaceful.
Older Lady at the front desk kinda rude but other then that it was great.
3.5
Good location. Comfortable. Very camp feel; old school versus modern hotel.
4.5
Excellent location from the three ski resorts (sugar, beech, and Appalachian). Laundry is available. Hot water swimming pool. Rooms are very cozy, rustic, and comfortable. Staff friendly and kind. Clean kitchen and appliances in the studio apartments.
The exterior of the building is a little outdated. Looks like a haunted house from Scooby-Doo :)
The hotel needs a better entrance illumination and signalization for the guests when they are entering the property (especially at night). It is dark and difficult to see the entrance.

Great swimming pool
4.0
The view from our room on the mountain side was beautiful. The pool and hot tub was a great resource. The laundry room was helpful. The room was well equipped including the kitchenette. Everything was clean. For the price this was a great find!
It would be good for there to be some kind of way to communicate from the pool in an emergency. The emergency phone was in a room that was locked.
The noise from above was quite loud due to the construction of the building. The floors etc. are not as solid as you would find in a chain hotel so noise travels. Not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of if you are looking for peace and quiet, or have children who nap.
3.0
the room
too many people to swim or play in the game room and the sauna wasn’t working
4.0
hot tub!
possibly needing more signs to say where everything is. was hard to navigate
4.5
Location was great. Indoor pool and hot tub ideal for kids and for relaxing after long day at the mountain(open till midnight).
Game room has potential. Games are dated, not as advertised claw machines empty. But air hockey, pool, and fooseball are classic fun.
4.0
close to our destination
recent remodel was nice
heat was difficult to regulate
tv was a little fuzzy
noisy when staff was cleaning rooms
4.0
it was very quiet. great location.
3.5
The design of the facilities. The pool was good but not at the temp that was posted. Hot tub was perfect.
Small room but cozy. No facilities to eat at.

Location
Dated, but okay with bedroom facility. Things still closed due to Covid was disappointing
