Good location and good breakfast
Rooms felt small. Felt older.

The best staff we have encountered in all our years of travelling!!

Absolutely nothing went well. I picked this hotel from Priceline. It looked nothing like the pictures and was way over priced.
I’ve never been to Port Huron so I had to rely on the Internet for places to stay. This hotel was $129 a night. There was a smell In the room that resembled a public bathroom. Stains on the pillowcases and sheets, a chip on the floor. Woke up with a bite on my ankle. Let the place a day early and didn’t try to get a refund, just wanted out that bad and that fast. We were given only one wash wash cloth. The entire hotel was extremely outdated and had a very overall dirty feel to it. When you go down the elevator and reach the first floor, the elevator kind of shakes and makes a loud noise, you aren’t sure if it’s breaking down or if you’re even going to get out of it at that point.

close to the train station
dated, heavy smell of smoke deep in the walls and carpet

Location and staff were excellent.
It was very noisy with loud music, dogs and party next door.
3.5
Staff is very friendly and attentive! They quickly addressed any concern.
Elevator is very loud and sometimes there is a jolt when it stops on the 1st floor. On the plus side, our room on the 2nd floor was right next to the elevator but we never heard it. The hotel seems to be remodeling but it didn’t hinder our stay (unlike a few other hotels I’ve stayed at in the past).

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The afternoon employee who checked us in was great! Very accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast was awful, staff not at all friendly and we felt we were inconveniencing them being there.
Terrible smell throughout the hotel, especially the 3rd floor. Rooms were filthy as was the bathroom.
Not at all up to Best Western standards, very disappointing.

I was THRILLED with the service, the politeness, and the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast is FABULOUS, three kinds of meats, potatoes, multiple bread stuffs, multiple cereals, multiple juices, and MAKE THEM YOURSELF two kinds of waffles! ONLY WISHED I'D BOOKED AN EXTRA DAY...
Nothing--only wish I could have stayed an extra day. Just terrific!

breakfast, comfy bed.
Noise level of other rooms

The price and location. The guy working the desk was exceptional!!!
The hotel needs some work which it was under construction. The elevator was also old and scary. We were supposed to be upgraded to the king suite and when we came in there was no pull out couch as advertised so we had to call for a roll away bed.

The staff were exceptional

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond for everything. Things happened that were completely out of their control and they did everything they could to remedy the situation.
The washer and dryer next to our room was extremely noisy...

I liked the front-desk clerk, who went the extra mile to make sure I was able to check in. I need to warn locals that the official policy at this hotel is not to accommodate them; this is to reduce "drama" from domestic disputes spilling over into the hotel. I appreciate their discretion. But the clerk was able to make an exception for me and even lower the price for my trouble. Excellent service, and a clean, modern room.
The pool. Not that it was bad, just kind of bare and uninviting. No jacuzzi. Kids love it anyway - and it wasn't full of them. No towels were left there, even though a note in the room said not to bring towels from the rooms.

- Great location for those crossing the border to Canada
- Excellent friendly staff, very polite and helpful
- The hotel has Jaccuzi/jet tubs
- Modern smart TVs
- Beautiful view of the river
- Lots of parking
Nothing about the hotel itself, but more so the fact that there isn't much around it that is walking distance. You will need a car to get anything that the hotel does not carry themselves.

Beds extra comfy and great pillows

What I found to be ridiculous is my hair is red and when I wash it it sometimes bleeds a little on towels and I was charged an additional $22 bc of it bleeding on the towels a little bit and a pillow case. I did not color my hair at the hotel.
