The accommodations and facilities are inviting, clean, quiet; and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
The setting is beautiful.
We really enjoyed the spa, having some space to wander on the premises and exploring the Neighborhood on foot. Having a shuttle is wonderful too!
Like many towns in the past 2 years, Madison is struggling. It is hard to see shuttered buildings that were once part of a vibrant and bustling destination.

Layout if hotel is not that easy to get around to floors and other building and parking.

Great vibrant location.
Breakfast was not open until 9:00 am. Disappointed that we had to leave for another hotel to eat breakfast.

The location on the lake is beautiful.
The staff was not at the level of the cost and reputation of the hotel. I do not always respond to surveys but your hotel is not from my experience first rate in terms of service. I am a pretty low tech 60 year old though I have a demanding and successful career. I was in need of a business office/ computer and a staff member said access to a computer was impossible. This has really created an issue as I missed an important communication. The person seemed to be in a supervisory position and to say he was not helpful is an understatement. He was a relatively young man of eastern european background and I hesitated going to the desk after that rather harsh and inappropriate interaction.

Excellent service. The amenities were great
I think the room descriptions could be better. There are two buildings, one is the Langdon building, and the other is the Wisconsin building.

We liked the room, the view of the Capitol from our window, The Boathouse, the view of the lake.
The bartenders looked very unhappy and were unsociable. also the last 2 cocktails we had during our stay were awful. Also I didn’t like how the windows weren’t tinted, no privacy if windows were open.

The hotel view is priceless, beautiful and rewarding. We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant. The food is amazing. Again, the view from the room, restaurant and balconies are the BEST!

the claw foot tub was great! Food in Market Cafe was very good. Our corner room view of the lake was awesome.
Single serve coffee was not replaced on 2 and 3rd day, we had to ask for it at the front desk. The Edgewater needs to ask the fraternity house to clean up the old sofas and trash that litter outside to the south of the Langdon Building. Our corner view was beautiful except for that trashy mess. So dissapointing for your guests. You need to add a hook in the shower for a wash cloth. Add a foot stool or ottoman for the chairs in the king studio room so that guests can relax with their feet up. Robes were a nice comfy bonus!

Very nice view and very relaxing! Room service was delicious and fast.
My boyfriend and I finally got the hang of it after a while but making it to our room was a whole maze! I wish there were a few more straight forward signs.
