Liked the mircrowave, refrigerator. There was only coffe and tea for breakfast. Staff very professional and friendly.
Facilities need updating. Communication could be improved. Did not feel like the questions I asked prior to stay were answered.
6.0
Location and initial cleanliness
Killed a full grown roach and 4 smaller roaches at midnight on the kitchen countertop.

Charged the wrong rate for the room I was given to stay in.
5.0
It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The towels were great.
The office closed early, did not keep the hours posted on booking.com - they did respond to my phone call as instructed at check-in. Room was outdated. Toilet seat was loose, needed some maintenance. Light bulbs missing. AC temperature control did not work.

The bed was comfortable and the room was large. The place is very quaint and peaceful. The room was clean and well kept. It was a very attractive room as well that was very comfortable to stay in. I will stay here again.
The drink machine had no diet options and I had to go out to buy drinks. The room has a fridge but it is a bit small. It will hold drinks but not much else.

Nothing
the room was dirty and dated, the place was noisy.
9.0
The staff was very professional and friendly, the room was very clean especially for an older facility, and the location was excellent in respect to both Blowing Rock and Boone.
For an older mountain feel property, I think it met my expectations or above. Continental breakfast options could be improved slightly.

The room has the biggest bed ever and was very comfortable. Nice location, high up with great views.
Didn't see any staff apart from the very friendly cleaner who helped us check out.

This property is an older property but very clean and well maintained. Quiet and relaxing with a good view of a park with lake and mountains. Friendly staff.
Office staff didn't open until 9 am. If eating breakfast had to wait. Office staff was doing rooms, cleaning. You had to call them for assistance with things! No office staff at night!

Beautiful views, ask for 2nd or 3rd floor.
They are trying to update but the overall feel is "tired"

It’s cute and quaint. The room was lovely and comfy. It was quiet and pleasant overall (although the folks next door were a bit loud the next morning). It has free Wi-Fi with very good cable channels…great movies and TV shows. A very convenient location with restaurants, shopping center, and a lake right across from the inn. It was rainy this weekend so we will take a walk over there next time we visit.
The continental breakfast needs much improvement. It’s not difficult to offer a more appealing breakfast…just more effort is needed.

The location is amazing!!! Lake view from balconies. Can see mountains from this motel as well as town businesses etc. I’m
Unique, laid back, old days feel.
Close to attractions. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, only 15 minute walk to downtown.

Room was great, staff very friendly and it was easy to locate. We arrived prior to our check in time and they accommodated us immediately with access to our room. Bed was SUPER comfortable
The provide dishes, utensils, etc. in the kitchen and there were plates in the cupboard that were greasy and a little dirty. The countertop also needed a wipe as it was sticky in spots,. But these things are minor and everything else was great!

There’s not really much to complain about!

we go there day before bomb cyclone hit and temps were 30 below zero windchill. impossible to get out. Darren the manager was absolutely the best trying to keep us comfortable. Views were beautiful and room was fantastic with good heat until the power went out for several hours. We went at a bad time as to weather but we were comfortable

Property managers were great! Check in and check a breeze. Great location!
Really needed updating. Bedroom was really gloomy and needed to be modernized.
Limited outdoor space.

our room was large and nicely decorated, clean and good smelling. we had a balcony, which is rare for a hotel. the view was nice. and the manager was very accommodating.

View and the room were great. Cozy little inn with lots of character.
no power outlets in the bathroom? (mini apartment unit), roomservice didnt come, and the "breakfast" area didnt open in the morning. Mny guests outside the dark office peering in to see if anyone could open the door. Check in was confusted by Booking.com fee - if we had paid or needed to pay them.

Outside our room we could sit and watch the sun set. It offered a quaint old mountain inn stay ambiance.
I am unable to think of anything at this time.
