Last Resort

Being close to the VA hospital.

The fact that the picture on the site was very misleading. This place looked like it was built in the 80's and was never fixed. The pool and hot tub were both closed. The breakfast had eggs, but they were under cooked and very runny. Gross.

Overall Good Experience

Breakfast was good. Plenty of outdoor area for those traveling with dogs. Staff was helpful.

At first I wasn't comfortable with the location. The area seemed a little shady, but it was okay. The hotel was decent enough. Carpet wasn't completely clean. Also, I thought there would be a coffee pot in the room.

The night manager was very kind and helpful. Made my mood better

very clean, comfortable, and happy about the working jacuzzi tub after traveling and being diverted.

The property is due for an update. Hallway carpet is old and thinning. But everything else seemed fine.

Pool was under construction. While generally clean, lots of things seemed in a state of disrepair, doorknobs, outlet covers. Most disappointed that pool and hot tub were closed, clearly longer term.

It was not great, but we stayed because of the manager.

The female manager on staff was fantastic. She worked hard and gave us everything we could have asked for under the circumstances. The linen and room were clean as well.

The pool and hot tub were out of service and no one notified us prior to arriving. We booked the hotel because of the pool and proximity to family and there was nothing on the website about the facilities being closed. I tried calling the hotel several times, but due to low staffing my phone calls went unanswered.

it was okay for one night but won’t stay there again

its proximity to the airport.

the beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. the hot tub was not operational. the property is very understaffed. the checkin girl had to leave and pickup people from airport at checkin time. computer did not work with credit cards. the girl was very calm and pleasant during all the problems she encountered.

All in all it was okay, except the plugged up sink was real aggravating.

The location was great because it was close to the university. Also the beds and pillows were very comfortable, the beds had nice white linens on them and looked very pretty.

The inside door in the bathroom was pretty chewed up with lots of wear and tear. The sink in the bathroom plugged up when we ran water, I mentioned it to the desk clerk and she said they had no one there (short staffed) to help with that at the time. We went down to breakfast about 8:30 and it was pretty picked over, not much left to choose from, bagels and biscuits and yogurt were the only choices.

The pool and hot tub were out of order. Our room was next to the laundry facility for the maids. At 4:30am, I could not sleep due to the washer and dryer going non stop. The breakfast was substandard with only bagels and yogurt and apples for food. When i advised the clerk when I left that they really should leave room 108 as a last resort (there were just a few cars in the parking lot), they advised that i had to pay more money in order to have a room farther away from the laundry room. Days Inn disappoints again. I will avoid them at all costs.

Rates were too high for what is a 2 star hotel. Owner jacked up prices because of a festival.

Breakfast looked dismal. Went out to a restaurant. You need a waffle maker.

Building was dingy. Rates were ridiculously high The staff were all very nice. The room was clean. Friends stayed next door at a far nicer hotel for virtually the same money.

Two different rooms both with problems...1 Too small ...dirty toilet and toilet would not flush...2 Air conditioner was not working and the room was extremely humid and the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed.

We changed to a different hotel.
