Location was very near the beach and the downtown area. That was the only positive.
This motel was very, very dated. The beds were terrible, old and broken down. The room was very musty smelling and damp. Would not recommend and would not book again.

The location and pool/hottub
Our room smelled like mold and was stuffy. We also were missing coffee cups and the bathroom was not cleaned all the way. There was hair and toothpaste still on the sink. The tub also smelled like mold.

There was no breakfast. They just gave me a 2 for one coupon which was useless to me since I was alone. The location was not important to me.
It had a non-functioning lamp. I had to go thru a door in the back of the building and I did not have access to the front. The layout was very strange and it was like being in a rat maze.

clean well kept. close to the beach
I wish the pool was open until 10 o’clock

the location was the initial outstanding proximity from the pier if the ferry.
the furnishings were old, worn and the shower was not clean. the gap between the shower walls had black mold.

Location was perfect! Walking distance to shops, restaurants, lake. Room was pretty big and accommodated the 4 of us nicely.
Carpet in the rooms at a lake hotel is not my favorite. But, it did seem clean. Outdated, but that's not high on our priorities list.

location
the stuffiness and tired look inside and out. Not fresh or new in any way.

The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean and the mini fridge was a bonus. Nice little coffee maker also. The location of this hotel doesn’t get any better, close to the beach and walkable to downtown. Overall a great stay.
The front desk clerk was unpleasant. Our check in was uncomplicated and we had no special requests but he acted like we were a hug inconvenience. It takes little effort to treat your customers like they are the heart of your business. Will consider other options in the area because of the staff.

There was no breakfast - this was not typical of other places where breakfast, even if simple, is now standard. This was just a place of bathing & sleeping. Cost of the room didn't fit a room with the very basic of amenities. Other hotels offer more amenities such as food/drink at less cost.
It would have been nice to be told ahead of time (when booking) that being placed in a back room of the motel was a possibility. Not a scenic view outside the window - just construction taking place next door. There was also the odor of paint or other similar construction odor outside the room - okay inside the room.

Location
Room wasn't vaccuumed and found a used mask next to 2nd bed. Smelled musty/moldy which was probably why windows were left open. Went to close window and husband had to go outside because the arm was out of track and wouldn't shut from the inside. Room is right next to entrance door which is super loud and possible broken which may be why it's so loud. Walls are super thin that you can hear people talk....was not a good experience

I liked that the rooms in the back part of the hotel were more secluded and personable. Very clean
No microwave in the room. They should note that the microwave is a $10 flat fee. The pool was out of commission. It would have been great to spend time in the pool.Lastly the staff is rarely at the front desk. I understand there are task that need to be completed but have a bell or alarm that can alert you when someone comes in. I had to wait 10 minutes for him to check me in and when I went to check out in the morning I waited so long I just left. At least have someone at the front desk during check out and around check in time.

Location was great. Room was large (2 queen beds) and bathroom was quite large.
Only complaint is that the parking required us to park on the street. When we returned from dinner, there were no spots. I parked in front of the office, which was around the building from our room. Next morning I had to go back around the block to get car to move in front of our room to load up luggage to leave.

Loved that we got a BOGO breakfast at House of Flavors. The property was pretty much as it was advertised and it was clean and comfortable.
The pool was closed for maintenance. The reservation said the room had a queen-sized bed but it seemed more like a double. The coffee was awful.

Location
Terrible bed- parking to room : unavailable. No pool avaiable due to maintenance ( note: pool issues should have been completed well before entering main - late Spring to entering Summer tourism season.

The location, staff, and cleanliness of the ludington pier house was great! They took great care of us on our honeymoon/down.
It was a little small, but it was quite comfortable. Simple interior design.

Close location to the beach/lake and to downtown. The places we visited were in close proximity to our stay. Loved the indoor pool and hot tub.
