It’s an absolute gem. Pictures on the website do not do justice - the rooms are furnished with exquisite taste. The house is actually in the forest. You may wake up to the sight of roes having a sip of water from the pond under your window. It’s per definition the island of peace.

Such a beautiful place and outlook.
Would definitely recommend.

Although we would have loved being closer to Yosemite Park, the B&B was absolutely excellent! The hosts were fantastic making sure to help us with our stay at Yosemite.
It was an hour and 20 minutes from the park entrance.

We love that they were communicative and very helpful when it comes to suggesting places to go, what time we need to leave to get to our destination without getting stuck in traffic and also packed our breakfast for our hike.

What was there not to like! Building a house with a B&B in mind for those exploring Yosemite can only lead to amazing returns for those who visit.
They had thought of everything including the ability to leave super early with a treasure trove of brunch to nibble on as you stroll.
It's just a beautiful place run by beautiful people.

Beautiful b&b, very comfortable rooms. Jane & Richard are a worm welcoming couple, gave us lots of info and guidance as to places to travel in Yosemite. Takes an hour just getting to the park’s entrance, but worth it over staying in a lodge.

Jane and Richard are amazing hosts! They are always happy to help and to inform you about the best places to visit at Yosemite. I felt extremely welcome and at home. The Sierra Trails Inn is an amazing place to stay in the middle of nature. It was cool to see the hummingbirds on the porch.

Being back at a real BnB was so very nice. Every morning and evening we were able to swap stories from thr day, engage in intellectual conversations, and have a chance to get to know about our hosts and the others staying on property. Breakfast was filling. We were able to unload our cooler in fridge, and freezer our water bottles at night. Bed was very comfy. Location was just outside Yosemite NP.
That we couldn't stay longer.

I was very impressed with their knowledge of Yosemite- best hikes and list of restaurants were perfect for me.Also, Jane served fresh fruit, coffee, scones, bread, hard boiled eggs, cheese, cereal, mixed nuts, granola bars, bottled water, and juice. All easily bagged up to take breakfast on the go, so you could get an early start to your day. I was impressed with their breakfast selection and that it was all inclusive in the B & B price. Also, the room was relaxing and homey. I was able to relax from my long Yosemite hikes each day. I’m a butterfly and hummingbird girl. They have plenty of them around the property. Staying there exceeded my expectations in price, room - special touches, breakfast and Richard and Jane both were great hostesses.

Richard and Jane are excellent guides and good hosts. A few more added comforts would make this an excellent place to stay, such as a comfortable chair in the guest room, a larger shower head, and 2 more pillows. Very nice home with very nice common areas.

The hosts Jane and Richard are warm and hospitable. They keep the premises in beautiful condition and the rooms are immaculate. Richard offers a comprehensive planning arrangement for your visit to Yosemite, and they offer printed material on where to get food and supplies. They are tireless helpful and kind, treating every visitor as their only one. If you meet other visitors at the inn, you'll find they are also like-minded and warm. Its really a home away from home.
Unrelated: As their website suggests, its optimal to stay three nights to get two full days to do all the activities in Yosemite. The inn is equidistant between Mariposa and Oakhurst, so you can try out restaurants at either town (both of which have old western charm to them). Leave as early in the morning as you can (even 7am or earlier if possible) to beat the crowds – Jane and Richard will arrange breakfast to-go as needed. If you are a city slicker, walk outside the inn before sunrise to experience the star-filled sky.
I wish I had time to stay longer :D
