Very good

The people were very friendly, it was clean and the breakfast was good. I was very surprised at how good it was. Everything was fine.

The only thing was that we couldn't use the pool because it was under construction. I imagine it was because of the hurricane.

I was disappointed in my stay and won't be back.

Breakfast was okay.

We requested a crib and when we got to the property one wasn't available. We ended up having a miserable night because of it. The AC was very loud and needed to be serviced. The property is very old and musty. I didn't appreciate the lack of apology for dropping the ball on the baby crib.

NOTHING FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

The hotel was not livable. There was construction being done on the side of the building closing amenities, which we were not informed of. There was white stuff all over the charts in the lobby so you couldn't even sit down and it smelled of spoiled cleaning products. The room was disgusting. There were stains all over the walls, black mold in the bath tubs, trash and cigarette butts on the balcony and the floor was galling through. We had children with us and it was not a safe environment for us to keep our kids in so we were forced to leave. BE AWARE WITH STAYING AT HOLIDAY INN IHG in Galveston. Don't bother going through or using booking.com. They are unresponsive and when you finally get through to them you find out they haven't done anything with your concerns and don't plan to.

We had a great stay! (Thanks to the front desk man)

The price was reasonable. Beach front. Breakfast was very good, with lots of options. The lady who was working the breakfast floor the morning of 6/10/24 was VERY attentive, kind, and quickly helped anyone. The gentleman who worked the desk 06/09/24 @ about 5:30pm was VERY kind and made every effort to make us very satisfied with our stay. Our 2nd Room(after requesting a move due to smell of our 1st room) smelt great. Parking garage with elevator access is very convenient.

**Read to end** The 1st room (#324) we were assigned to(before requesting a different room) smelt too strongly of mold or mildew plus strong cleaner smell. The whole AC front cover just fell off when I touched it exposing mold underneath. Also room #324 there was visible mold inside above the balcony door. Breathing & smelling this made us feel sick to our stomach, so we requested a different room in which they were VERY kind to help with which we were VERY happy and satisfied by.

Loved our balcony room facing the beach! Our room was very spacious and clean. The gentleman at the desk was so helpful and quick with our check in. Totally pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again!!

Dirty, over priced for weekend stay. Felt unsafe parking in the back.

Filthy. My feet were black from walking to the bed from my shower. The pull out was full of sand. Cigarette butts on the balcony. Restrooms were dirty. HOT in the room. Had to buy a fan. The workout room was a bike and treadmill.

First off walked into to room 319 and the room smelled like wet mildew. A/C wasn’t working hot and humid we went to the beach came back called front desk and the guy with the long hair fixed it SECOND the bathroom sink was leaking the toilet didn’t flush maintenance came said it was fixed used the restroom and the problem was still there THIRD BREAKFAST WAS HORRIBLE DUE TO EVERYTHING BEING OUT OF ORDER! The whole hotel stunk so bad of marjiuana. And I am not the only one who complained about this they had a long line of numerous complaints!! Asked them to clean my room and they didn’t clean it!! Took me n my kids out for 3 hours came back went to front desk ask what time they will be cleaning my room she said they just got back from lunch so we went out for anything 4 hours came back at 5;30 and room was still not cleaned HOLIDAY INN HOTELS ARE ALWAYS MY FIRST CHOICE TO GO. This was a horrible experience I ever experienced I BEEN TO CALIFORNIA VEGAS ARIZONA LAUGHLIN ETC. and never had a problem like this before EVER Front desk girls are seriously useless. She just sits there and reads a book responding with a head nod!

Great staff; clean rooms; older hotel not getting the full update it needs.

The breakfast was exactly what you have come to expect - well presented, plenty of everything, properly supported by superb, pleasant staff. Rooms were clean, fresh linens, with all necessary accessories like fridge, microwave, hairdryer, etc.

The hotel itself is clearly in need of a refurbishment, but it looks like it is being done poorly. For example, our room has new furniture, new bathroom fittings, and new carpet, but the walls and ceiling are simply painted over rather poorly and parts long exposed to the sea’s affects are still evident on the balcony. It looks and feels like an old hotel with a new coat of paint but not enough work being done to put it in first class condition, especially the exterior.

The location and the breakfast

Our room was on the first floor… by the elevator, breakfast area, laundry room and ice machine. It was so loud … very difficult to sleep. Woke up all night long.. and then people coming to breakfast at 6 am… no balcony view.. it was parking lot and garbage. The room was clean but had a smell to it.. we found urine, dirty bed sheets in the closet… nasty.

Loved the view, bed was comfortable and the hot tub worked

Simpleness. from parking all the way to waking up in the morning and loading the family out. Breakfast was dialed in and probably the best blueberry muffins ive ever had. Quality shampoo mounted on the shower wall like thats genius.
