Wonderful

The Ritz lived up to its reputation! As soon as you pull into the property the valet staff was so welcoming and helpful. The reception was fast and efficient. The room was clean and well supplied with the basics. The place offers to clean and tidy up the rooms on the daily. The pool area and service were superb!!! Overall, the location was very ideal. It was not in an area that’s too crowded and loud, but a short walk to the beach, food, and shopping. If you’re a good walker , you might even walk to the Ala Moana mall!

I know that Hawai’i is naturally humid but I think it adds to a small odor in the closet. The drawer inside the closet had a little bit of a musty smell and looked dated. The bottom drawer didn’t close all the way. I would recommend either update the drawer or place an odor neutralizer in the closet. The washer and dryer were very efficient. A small caveat about the dryer: it dried the heck out of clothes. If you have a fabric that’s heat sensitive or might shrink even with a little heat, you’re better off hang drying it or set up a timer so your clothes don’t over dry or shrink. The dryer would get extremely hot that it could burn your hands trying to collect your clothes out of the dryer. It was also very loud. Not a deal breaker at all😁 I also wished there was a jacuzzi in the family area. We have a very well behaved 10 year old who couldn’t spend time in the adult only jacuzzi area. In order for us to enjoy some jacuzzi time, my husband and I would have had to take turns to watch our young lady. Just a thought.

Great stay and hospitality from the hotel

We celebrated our 40th anniversary and hotel is kind enough to send a bottle of champagne as celebration gift

Booth at hotel swimming pool is not free for use by hotel guest, was told there are charges for use of booth at swimming pool, never encounter this before.

Wonderful property in a good location with well appointed spacious suites and excellent service.

The standard and friendliness of all the staff and the service provided, was excellent. Good sized one bedroom suite with great kitchen. Housekeeping were happy to moved some furniture to allow more space in the dining/lounge area. Check in was easy with the added touch of a welcome drink for all the family on arrival. Our room was ready early with a lovely gift and handwritten note awaiting us.

O hotel é bem localizado, os quartos são amplos e confortáveis. possuem cozinha e máquina de lavar roupa o que em ambiente de praia ajuda muito. equipe atenta e profissional. parabéns.

o banheiro não possui porta para , para um hotel deste padrão é um ponto muito negativo. não imagino a razão para isso e nem mesmo um aspecto cultural poderia justificar o desconforto para os hospedes. ponto negativo e pouco razoável.

Great hotel and location

Room great, location excellent and staff very friendly

Unfortunately the main pool was shut for refurbishment which was disappointing. Also, I can't believe that a Ritz Carlton is unable to offer decaf coffee at breakfast (despite asking for 5 days!). Tea choice was also limited to two types. This is an easy but essential fix and became rather annoying on a daily basis (I had to go and buy my own from the store - which showed how easy it was to solve)...

I would give the Hotel an overall grade of B+

The staff was phenomenal. They greeted us with the smile and newest by our own names. The location is great. The view we had (Room 1110) was great. the concierge was wonderful.

The property is getting old. It looks a little tired. It could use some spiffing up. Your cleaning department did not do a good job cleaning our room. The rugs throughout were very dirty. The bathroom was not stocked with a sufficient number of towels and washcloths. Also, when leaving the room, the door would not close properly so as to lock.

Easily the best place to stay in Waikiki.

Staff was amazing. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Views were outstanding. When I return to Waikiki this will be hands down the place I stay again.

Rooms and staff made it one of our best family vacations

Service and staff were excellent. The rooms were outstanding. We had one king ocean view with sitting area, sofa bed, kitchenette and washer and dryer. Ocean view was excellent.

We did not dislike anything.

The room cleaner robbed my phone charger. And then I asked the hotel staff but he said they are not their business. I ended up buying a phone cuz the phone charger doesn’t exist in the States.

One of the most famous beaches, Waikiki... lived up to it's reputation.

From arrival, I knew we were going to have a great experience. We were greeted by two young men, both very courteous, who removed our luggage and directed us to the lobby for check in. At check in, another very courteous woman introduced herself and gave us a brief , " lay of the land" and let us know, if we needed anything to let her or staff know. The Ritz Carleton is located at the edge of Fancy Pants row...Louis Vitton, Prada, etc. set the tone., we loved it. The beach is a short walk, past the post office or through the park across the street. If you walk up Kalaimoku St. many more hotels, stores, shops, bars and eateries to enjoy. And if you walk long enough the beach road meets the beach, with a fantastic park along the way to stop and catch the sea breeze and rest, while looking at the ocean waves. Do stop in all the hotel lobby's along the way, nice shops and restaurants tucked inside many of the hotels. Be sure to explore the side streets, many interesting sights, sounds, and smells to enjoy. Our hotel room was the best ! Clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom very nice. The kitchenette type set up was fantastic and the washer and dryer in the room was a great added bonus. We were on a great adventure, so we splurged, and we were glad we did.

The Friday fireworks could have been longer but they are free , so no complaints really. We had no real complaints about our hotel, staff or anything the whole time we were there. It's a great place to start and end your day's adventures.
