My stay was great.

Breakfast was great. The staff was nice and educational. The room was nice and spacious for a good price.

The A/C was lacking. It was turned all the way down with the ceiling fan on and it was still warm in the room.

Overall a very nice stay. Would stay there again.

It was located in a good area. The staff was super friendly and the room was very nice. They serve a very tasty breakfast.

Good stay & that's thanks to the owners/staff of the hotel.. They're working out as best as they can

Facility is old and needs upgrading.. It's location near UAB should be emphasized and the downtown location should be de-emphasized.. The city of Birmingham isn't doing any of the nearby businesses any favors.. Apparently they see no need to improve this part of the city.. it's sad and clearly shows where the priorities of Birmingham lay.. In light of all this.. Homewood should consider relocation..

A five-star experience - great location, room and the best staff you could ask for

This was one of, if not the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The staff were the most welcoming, friendly people we could have asked for. Tracey, Reginald, Ramona and Kaitlyn made us feel so welcome and so at home. They were all so sincerely interested in making sure we had a pleasant stay and we were genuinely sorry to have to say goodbye to them. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this was the first time I've received a phone call ahead of my stay to offer assistance and let me know how excited they are to welcome me. Reginald did just that, and my wife and I were blown away by the support and enthusiasm. The staff all paid so much attention to our dog and our one-year-old and made them feel very loved and safe. The staff social was great too, we got to hand out with them, see an incredible song and dance performance from Tracey, and were treated to complimentary food and drinks. It was a wonderful evening and one we won't forget. The location itself was fantastic, in a lovely neighbourhood with great cafes and restaurants. The hotel was spotless and our room there was our favourite of all the ones we stayed in in our 8-state road trip. It was huge, pristinely clean, and extremely comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough and want to extend my thanks once again to the staff for making it such a wonderful experience for our family.

The staff is so friendly, funny and careful! I love the two men at the reception today and Maria from the breakfast! They’re a 10+ The room is spacious and we always love our stay at Hilton.

Would have been a great stay if the AC unit had been working properly so I could sleep well.

Location close to UAB. It was clean and had an indoor pool.

Our AC was not working properly so I hardly slept which defeated the purpose of staying there. I could have stayed home, saved the money and just got up extra early to make my doctors appointment at 8am. I immediately told the front desk about the carpet in front of the AC being soaked. They were to contact maintenance to let me know if I needed to swap rooms. Never heard back from them.

Underwhelming

The so called pool, was the size of a hot tub. Breakfast was poor quality. Parking was not available on site (we were told) and was more than advertised on this site. $25 us. I would have booked somewhere else knowing these things

Nice place but fix the elevators

Room as nice and spacious.

There are only 2 elevators to the floors above 2 and only one was working and being shared with hotel staff. It took 30mins to go up or down due to the lack of functioning elevators, it made us late for our dinner reservation.

The Noise!!!...The noise from the street is the only thing that will keep me from ever going back and the other guests were soooo noisy, even at midnight but it's the noise from the bars on the street that was so bad...Stay Monday-,Tuesday and Wednesday and it will be great!

The rooms were spacious, there was an indoor pool, good breakfast, and a store. It was also safe and close to a lot of restaurants

A Remarkable Human Experience at the Hotel

I had an outstanding experience at this hotel, largely thanks to the exceptional staff at the reception. They were not just helpful but went above and beyond to assist me. I encountered difficulties with the car rental company and had to wait for the roadside assistance for 2-3hours, which unfortunately never arrived. However, the hotel staff took incredible care of me, providing assistance and, in the end, even managing to get the car running again. This was more than just a service; it was a beautiful human experience. I am truly grateful for the care and support I received. Despite the challenging situation, the hotel staff turned it into a positive and memorable experience. Thank you so much; I will never forget this gesture of kindness! The hotel was everything I expected – a nice, spacious room, convenient hotel parking, and a comfortable bed - the suite provided everything necessary for a restful night.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The hotel itself was fine. Most of the staff was as well.

Having to park down the street and around the corner at night with no prior warning and walk back to the hotel IN THE DARK ALONE IN A STRANGE CITY (hotel only has 75 spaces for 150 rooms). Then having to walk IN THE RAIN the next morning because the shuttle could only take me part of the way back to my car. Also not being told upfront that I would be paying for said parking that was down the street and around the corner.

Security A+, Great location, Clean, and the staff was amazing!

When we arrived the lady that checked us in was very welcoming, polite, and greeted me with a smile. All while her system had crashed she never onces showed any displeasure with the situation toward myself or any other guest. She was there the next morning when I checked out I wish I had written her name down, she is truly the face you want at every front desk.

One bed smelled like perfume, there was lots of noise, there was a man I spoke with prior to arriving that was very nice, but the ladies at the desk when I checked in were less than helpful. The toilet paper was the ultra cheap kind that is super thin.

The lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful. She was able to arrange early check in for us which was much appreciated.

It was good. Only complaint is the room upgrade gave us one bed rather than the 2 I had expected.

Nice, affordable hotel in downtown Birmingham

Breakfast was nice to have available. The staff was super friendly and helpful before, during, and after our stay. The room was very nice and very affordable and the location is central in the city.

The breakfast was not especially tasty, to be honest. One side of the hotel is across the street from a nightclub, although they were willing to move us to a room on the other side.

I can’t say that I would ever care to stay here again.

For a $15 parking fee that was advertised as $10, the “secured” parking lot wasn’t that secure. Anyone could walk through there, they just couldn’t drive through there. That was the only “secure” thing I saw for the jacked up parking fee. But once on the inside it seemed secure with all the comforts of home.

Unless you like the homeless hanging out at the entrance and listening to the sound of sirens all night long, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It was listed there was a parking fee of $10. That was falsely stated. They charged my credit card $50 for their incidental fee and are keeping $15 unbeknownst to me for the jacked up parking fee. It feels like there’s no full disclosure, but their right to change their policy on a whim and charge me for it. I DO NOT like this unfair business practice. They should be held accountable for false advertisement.

Room was spacious

No on site parking! Public parking in a garage that forced you to walk through a sketchy area to get to your vehicle. Cost to park $24/day. The noise from adjacent night clubs was horrible until well after midnight. Do not stay here is you’re planning on any sleep.

The level of service recieved at this location was worth every penny.

EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE we encountered during our visit was AMAZING. Every interaction was kind, considerate and professional. Only remember a couple of names but Everyone was GREAT! We will be back again sooner rather than later.

The parking isn't the most convenient, it is a location a "downtown" area however the parking was tight and only offered 3 handicap spots.
