Amazing
The staff where very welcoming friendly and attentive when you needed them. The entire property, including the rooms were clean and well maintained. The access to the river was amazing including a fire pit and gazebo. They have bare essentials available in the lobby/gift store, for those traveling with the bare basics. We really enjoyed our time there. The restaurant onsite was amazing. Staff was incredible, the food delicious. Menu primarily Italian, made with fresh local ingredients. The staff there were great, and the chef was gracious enough to come out and talk about one of the appetizers we fell in love with.

Nice location welcoming locals
The lodge is nice and pleasant, located out-of-town in a very nice environment. Rooms are very well equipped and it is a nice place for relaxation.
It seemed to us that the staff was a bit suspicious towards foreigners coming from long distances (in&out of California). We were asked multiple times where do we come from and what is the purpose of our stay. They were nice to wait for us past the official end of check-in (although 8pm is a bit sooner end of check-in) but when we asked for further help as we needed an unplanned storage of luggage due to security reasons, we were not helped. Later, when dealing with other businesses in the area, we thought that the suspicion towards foreigners is a quite spread in the area....

It is a beautiful place. I would highly recommend
We had the penthouse and it was very nice although we didn’t need the kitchen and dining room for our overnight stay. The one bathroom was busy for the the seven of us. The rear of the property going to the river was beautiful.
No breakfast. We intended to find a fast food breakfast. The was no phone service, no internet, no fast food for 100 miles east.. There are restaurants in Douglas City

Good
There was no breakfast. The price was reasonable. Room was fine. Shower was very erratic in finding and maintaining the correct temperature.
