Because we did not rent beach chairs or umbrella from the property, we had to walk quite a distance to set up and sit on the beach. The property set up over130 umbrellas and only a fraction of that were rented. Not having beach available close to the facility was an inconvenience.

The elevators were ridiculous! Wait was an hour! Won’t be back!

The facility was great. The condo was spacious and clean. The view was great! The private beach was clean. The staff was attentive and friendly.
The elevators were awful! They were slow. The wait was long for an elevator. The wait time was shorter when an attendant was in the elevator.

It’s location (Panama City). We enjoyed that it was near places, restaurants, and attractions that we visited. And of course, we loved the beach.
First, I did the pre-check in prior to our arrival as instructed, however, the staff at the condo was never sent our info so they didn’t have our stuff ready (like our wristbands, parking permit). I even showed the condo employee on my phone where I had filled out and submitted the info. So I had to fill everything out again and they gave us temporary bands and parking permit. Then we had to wait 20 minutes to get an elevator to go up to our floor with our luggage. If we hadn’t had all our stuff, we would have just used the stairs (which is what we did for the rest of our trip until checkout). After all of that, we finally reached our condo, but we were unable to get in. The code that was provided to me on the booking.com app did not work. I had to go back down to the check in area, but the the condo employees were not able to help us and said I had to contact Panhandle or Booking.com. I called the number given to me several times and there was no answer so I was stuck outside the condo late at night for a while with my daughters, unable to get in. I also sent an “angry email” explaining what was going on. But, I didn’t receive a response. In fact, to this day, I still have not ever received a reply, not even to simply apologize for the inconvenience. I finally spoke to a lady on the phone (and she was very nice by the way), who advised that she had the same code that was listed in my app. This code never worked despite multiple attempts (by me and condo employees). She ended up having to reset it and give me another code and we were finally able to get in. In my opinion, this was completely unacceptable, especially since I paid $950 to stay there for ONLY 2 nights. I am very unhappy with the experience. This was my first experience with booking.com and it was terrible. We had been planning another summer trip to Orange Beach for later in the summer and had been looking for a place to stay through booking.

I liked the venue and the room was nice and clean I also like the location
Waiting on the elevator was a challenge constantly,when I was checking in African lady was rude and I couldn't understand her well also try to get any assistance was horrible they kept saying call your booking agency we can't help you and couldn't get ahold of them either.

I loved how close it was to beach. And the balcony was great. The view and the sound of the ocean was terrific.
Our room was advertised as a two bedroom but was only a one bedroom. We had 7 people in our party. They gave us an inflatable mattress which was helpful and helped us get on with our vacation.
Also, the elevators were slow. Not sure why, but we managed.

Very clean and well decorated in rental and around the property. All the staff very friendly and helpful . Security was visible and helpful. Restaurant/tiki bars and activity services offered on property, chair rental, jet ski. but banana boar, parasailing, very convenient and friendly.
TV wifi went out in , reported. Elevators slow.

The condo itself was very nice, however the overall facility was terrible!
The wait time for the elevators was completely unacceptable! I don’t mind waiting 3 or 4 minutes, but 10 - 15 minutes or more is completely unacceptable! Then to make matters worse, one of the three elevators was not working! In addition, the internet never did work. we called several times to get help and they never did get it to work. Also, the tv was not clear. I’m not sure if that had to do with the internet or not, but we were not impressed.

the elevators it took 30 mins to a hour to get on depending on how many people you waiting on in front of you to go besides that most was okay the stairs area was a little rough

fire intercoms and smoke detectors didn’t work. clothes dryer didn’t work. patio furniture rusted through. batteries dead in remotes. curtains hanging off of the hooks in the master bedroom, not enough utensils, dusty and dirty. elevators were a freaking nightmare!!!!!

The ocean front
Well the lobby/ security lost my license the last night we were there . I had turn my license in to them for a cart when bringing back the cart they couldn’t locate my licenses and still to this day on 7-13 they still can’t called the number I was given to call about the situation was told give them 5 minutes and they would call me back and still haven’t heard from them . They have cost me time at work which has cost me money and not to mention the lost of money for having to get new licenses. They have been rude when trying to get this situation under control . I’m not pleased at all and will not be back for a stay and I’ve also let friends and family know as well .

I loved the view & Room, and the fact that there was 4 HOT TUBS, two outside, one of them was with a tiki bar and the other beside the Starbucks on property. The additional two hot tubes were in the workout room perfect for when you didn’t want to be outside.
The elevator situation was not ideal. extremely long waits from the higher floors and limited elevators

only 1 hot tub worked the entire 7 days we were there, theatre broke, daughter got bit by spiders after the unit was sprayed for pests DURING OUR STAY. her bites then turned into cellulitis and it was a mess. PG has yet to contact us about this issue after multiple attempts to speak with them.

a very bad family vacation, first about the elevator "every time we take 15min to 20min waits" secondly every morning we are woken up by an alarm, the 3rd about the equipment in the room is very bad ” the dishwasher is broken every time we use it we have to mopping home, the 4th we go 6 adults and 4 children and each time we take a bath no hair dryer, had to wait until I asked, it was only given 1 machine for 10 users, and about the bedroom, there was a closet for clothes, it was used for their storage, and about the cabinet door They were all broken but still let us use them, it was such a bad idea for me to pay that much.

The beaches.
95% of our stay we disliked. Roaches were in the room. The AC broke. We lost 1.5 days at the beach due to waiting on maintenance to arrive. Still waiting for a manger call back after 10 days.

The condo we booked was filthy. Did not look like it got cleaned before we arrived. There was mold on the mattress protector. Check out directions said to wash the dishes before we leave but the dishwasher leaked water all over the floor.

The location. The bartenders at the waves restaurant were amazing as well.
The elevators were absolutely horrible and the worst thing about staying here. Waited 15 minutes just to bring my luggage cart back down and had to wait an extended period of time every time we wanted to use them. We also had to "rent" the luggage cart and give them an ID to be able to get one and then return it to get the ID back. The luggage carts also aren't allowed in rooms so we have to leave our door open and carry everything into the room. Our bed in our room was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. The plumbing in the spare bathroom by the bunk beds didn't work properly. We were missing light bulbs and a toilet paper holder! There was also no ice machines available for use besides what was in the fridge in the room. The tv in our bedroom didn't work, and the sheets on the bottom bunk bed had nasty brown stains on it. The shower curtain in the master bedroom was broken and fell on me while I was trying to move the metal shower hooks over the metal rod which was impossible. The parking structure is so tight with spaces and people not following the signs of what direction to go.

We arrived today looking forward to our stay here at the Tidewater; as we have stayed here multiple times and have always had a great experience.
After our arrival today I am extremely displeased. We have spent months, like many other Americans unable to go on family vacations due to the Covid guidelines and restrictions. Prior to arriving I expected nothing short of a sanitary environment for my family and I. Our condo has been unsanitary to say the very least. We walked into the condo and was slapped with the smell of what I can only describe as a dead fish! A large can of Lysol and Clorox wipes later; It’s still lingering.I am currently washing the bed linens just so we can rest tonight after a nine hour drive into town due to what looks like food left on the comforter. Which tells me it wasn’t washed! I have had to run a load of dishes in the dishwasher due to them unclean and wet enough to slightly pour water into the sink. The pull out couch was covered in sand and the worst part of all it was a dirty razor in the bathroom. I have a small child and Thank goodness I found it before she did!

Every thing other than what I listed was great!
Only things were the floors hadn't been mopped on a regular basis your feet on bottom of your shoes were black. Elevators are slow but you already know that!

Didn't like that it said would sleep 6 on the web page . Went to book it and then they was going to cancel due to me having 5 when the sofa is a sleeper sofa . Able to accommodate 6 comfortably.

I liked that it came with a kitchen and washer and dryer! The hotel let me check in! But they didn't tell me that the room wouldn't be ready till 4. So we brought everything up to go to the room but our codes didn't work. Went down to the lobby to tell them, and because I didn't book through them I had to call a 1800 number. To find out that the code wasn't ready till 4. Our room was ready! We sat outside the elevator and waited till 4.... and the elevators suck! I loved how sound proof the room was. They must have locals or just dumb kids drive by the building and constantly reving their engines to hear the exhaust. And I mean loud! I only heard it a couple times.
My room was 1205 and some things that maintenance needs to do it fix the beds head board in the room with the 2 beds. The head boards are barely attached. And in the master bedroom, the toilet paper holder was taped together!
Cleaners! I think that they need more times of and overhaul clean. I think they do the bare minimum to get the rooms ready.
Overall. I will be back! Just not over spring break. A lot of inconsiderate people stayed here.
