Location to dpac was about the only good thing for us.
This is set up almost like a night club, with loud speakers in front of our room until 10pm, then you could hear music from the lobby until 2pm. Door to the hotel had a 1/4 wide gap at the bottom letting everything in. Lighting wasn't great inside the room, tv didn't work, well, didn't pull any channels, no shower curtain, bar at the pool made so crowded with intoxicated people I didn't want my kids out there.

Proximity to venues. Downtown location. On-site club/DJ

Honestly, not much of anything. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable, but that is about it. And the front desk employee did arrange for a baby crib to be brought to our room, so that was nice.
We did not enjoy our stay here. We arrived on a Monday and found EVERYTHING closed - the hotel bar, restaurant, rooftop cafe. It was really disappointing. We had been here for dinner once before and the pool bar/cafe was so lively and fun. Additionally, our room was absolutely tiny. It couldn't have been more than 100 sq feet.

I would tell everyone to stay away from this hotel. Yes, the pictures are nice , but the room smells like urine and stuffy, and they take your money just because. They say they have continental breakfast, which is a lie. All it's coffee and a fruit. They charged me for two nights stay after I already paid for the entire stay upfront. I checked out because of the overcharge, and they put the wrong checkout date, and they overcharged me again $180 again. With no explanations. As you go to the pool, it is open to the public, not just to guests. Had a peeping Tom by the pool side . Hands down the worst experience, and when I checked out, I had nowhere to go with my child 😕. As a parent, you never want to be in that situation. You have peddlers across the street from the hotel, making the area unfriendly to walk around in. I REPEAT DO NOT GO STAY HERE. UNLESS YOU LIKE UNSAFE AREAS, YOUR MONEY TAKEN, AND LIES. There was one staff member who tried his best , but the management falsified my checkout date.

It was clean and cute, with a nice restaurant and pool.
All places were booked at the pool and we couldn’t even get a lounge chair to sit at. We wanted to sit by the pool and hang out all weekend but the cabanas and even the lounges were booked and reserved. They allow local residents to reserve the pool and on site guests need to reserve in advance…we didn’t know.

The location to downtown was great, the bar by the pool was enjoyable.
No access to coffee in the room, no food or coffee options downstairs. Confusing parking situation. Rooms are fine but show a good amount of wear and tear. The table top in our room was pretty dirty.

Right in the heart of cool new Durham. Our room was fantastic . Request City View and 2nd floor. Unless you want the pumping music of the pool bar filling your room until 11 am (which is cool if you want that).

I was placed in the last room closest to the parking garage on the 2nd floor and right above the trash dumpster. At 5am the trash trucks woke me up with loud noise shutting the dumpster doors. The hotel wasn't full so better accommodations should have been made

The room and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom and walk-in shower were spacious and fresh. I had a room fridge which was convenient in the middle of summer. The lobby had free coffee and fruit in the mornings. Location was central downtown and rooftop pool was small but attractive.
I stayed 6 nights and was told no maid service unless I called and booked it the night prior. The hotel appeared to sell day passes or memberships for locals to the rooftop pool area. It became very crowded once the bar opened at 4pm and they put "Reserved" signs on most of the lounge chairs and pool-side seating. It really detracted from the amenity for hotel guests. While I was there, I received a call on my hotel room phone with someone claiming to be at the front desk needing to re-run my credit card information. I became suspicious and said I would take care of it at the desk. When I went down, the front desk person didn't know what I was talking about and called a manager. The manager told me there was some miscommunication with accounting and everything was fine. Later, another front desk employee told me to be careful because several guests had been called on their room phone and similarly scammed for their credit card information. I don't know why the manager attempted to cover up the issue when I first reported it. One of the stranger things I've had happen at a hotel and I'm not sure I could recommend this hotel despite some cool aspects to it.

With a very lively atmosphere into the eve and a beyond sanitary room involving a great view, my two day stay at Unscripted was remarkable. The staff members, with a friendly manor, are quick to help with anything asked. Overall, a beyond pleasant experience with this location and would recommend this place to any group or individual, especially those looking for easy parking and room access from car.
The shower in my king room did not have the ability to close it but the glass enclosure was sufficient for keeping water off the bathroom floor(likely modern style I don’t understand; looks very nice).
The thermostat was difficult to dial in. Not sure if it was operator error but toward the end of the stay, I got it in check (certainly my own fault for not asking any questions).

Nothing really.
My toilet did not work, it clogged up repeatedly. I had to wait for maintenance to come multiple times so I could wipe my ass.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I loved how friendly the staff was.
The room was on the more expansive side. They had showtime and not HBO. I would have preferred HBO. Also they charged 20 dollars for parking. Had I know that, i would have stayed elsewhere.
