the bed was a little hard to get in and out of because of its height off of the ground.

Great hosts. Very knowledgeable about the home, it's history and the area.
Great breakfast in the beautiful dining room.
Loved the furnishings and the way they restored the house with new plumbing and wiring instead of remodeling it.

our #3 was just too small for 2 people. we went to the hallway to get another chair. it would be lovely for 1 person,

I loved the history of the house and the breakfast was top shelf.
Signage was a little difficult in the dark.

Ringling House totally exceeded my expectations, after staying for a week in a standard hotel, Ringling house was a fabulous change of pace, taste and comfort. I booked the Charles and Edith room with the four poster bed, which was exceptionally comfortable. The decor is amazing and the atmosphere of this house exudes so much history. I knew nothing of the Ringling brothers and the circus history, but learnt so much about them from the host, Julie, and also the circus museum in town. The sitting room and the library were peaceful havens for sitting and reading, and Julie presented delicious breakfasts and chats each morning.
There is ample parking at the back of the property, and you can easily walk into town if you fancy partaking of the local eateries. Julie was very knowledgable about the area and its history and was such a great host.
If I return to Baraboo, I will be staying here.
Absolutely nothing.

The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding community. Breakfast each morning was nutritious, plentiful, tastefully prepared and presented.
Coming back in warmer weather, which is our plan!

It was a very atmospheric place to stay but the bathroom was all updated, which made it very comfortable. Great breakfast and within walking distance of good food in downtown Baraboo.
For my personal preference the bed was a little soft and the covers a bit thin for winter, but I ended up sleeping well.

interesting, centrally located, friendly, helpful caretaker
toilet was too low for old people

Our hosts were provided an appreciated and brief history of the house. There are numerous family photos of the Ringling Family around the main floor. The historical qualities pf the house are maintained. However, there was a little AC unit in our room along with a bathroom that still had a period loyal medicine chest on one end and modern day, walk-in, remodeled shower on the other end. Not big enough to clean Jumbo, but plenty big to clean me.
The central staircase was beautifully renovated and very spacious with one landing. However, they are stairs. The wife, like me, has legs originally engineered several decades ago and any stairs, no matter how beautiful, are still challenging.

Amazing history. very clean and very well kept. The owners were very friendly. I felt like I was living with one of the Ringling brothers. The rooms were kept just like the time period. Loved every minute of it. Oh and the breakfast was phenomenal! Even accommodated me for being gluten free. I would definitely stay here again!
nothing.

Julie was very accommodating with my food allergies. Her breakfast was very nice!
I have gotten spoiled with my comfy sleep number adjustable bed. Nothing can compare. I thought the bed at Ringling was a bit too hard. I realize that due to the historical designation, the property cannot install central air. It was an unseasonably hot day when we stayed at Ringling. The air conditioner just could not evenly cool the room.

Absolutely beautiful, And the location to my friends and family. I have been driving by every weekend for almost 2 years
First time at a place like this, email read if you arrive early you can check in my belongings and come back when room is ready, I arrived at 2:30 and was told check-in‘s not till four when I reminded her of the email she said let me see if your room is ready. Never have been to a place like this unfortunate circumstances I’ve had to endure in alone, other guest were offered tours, And I’m assuming explanation of breakfast I was asked what time for Saturday but did not know it included Sunday as well, again can’t stress enough first time I’ve ever been in one. I am in the Baraboo area every other weekend sometimes more and spend quite a bit of money in hotels in the area, Such a shame a beautiful place like that gave me a bad taste.
I learned more of the history from the locals at the restaurant and reading things on the walls.

My stay at Ringling was great and completely met my expectations. The staff was friendly and amenities were prefect. Breakfast was very tasty. It was a mixture of fresh fruit and a Mediterranean breakfast flatbread, delicious.
My mattress was a bit firm for me.

Beautiful, spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Nice sized bathroom. Very nice (and healthy) breakfast.
Nothing negative at all!
