Location
Felt the springs through the mattress. Had to ask for the garbage to be removed and to bring clean towels. Ad said there was daily housekeeping, there was not unless asked them.
3.3
location
dirty room, stained carpets, broken and scratched up furniture, broken security lock, ripped fabrics, no bedside lamp? click radio, hairdryer, coffee pot. Bare, patched walls, scratched up paint on walls, no lock on bathroom door, loud bars next door, drunken and screaming guests, emails about conditions have gone unanswered since the moment we checked in, and parking for our vehicle was off premises and blocks away—very inconvenient.
3.3
location
base boards was moldy when I layed down to go to sleep I could smell musty

Nice spacious room. Good seating area to watch TV
Bathroom fan which always came on when you turned on the light was extremely loud. There was no parking for cars. It was very loud at 8:oo in the morning. It was clean except for the stains on the carpeting.

The newer style double vanity with backlighted mirror was a nice touch. The modern tiled shower was nice. The offseason rate was reasonable for the ~600sf room with a living room sitting area, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer and a bar wet sink and countertop. There was a door between the bedroom and living room areas and each had a TV. A small table with 4 chairs plus a convertible couch (bringing possible occupancy to 6) and 1 easy chair made a nice living space. The second floor room was far back from the street but a walk to the front of the building allowed a viewed to both side along the main downtown street and a mostly obscured view through the park between the main street and the harbor filled with docks. The location was top notch for walking accessibility. Golf carts could be rented on site if desired. Will I stay here again despite all these positive attributes? Probably not! See the dislikes.
Unfortunately, the list is long and becomes a deal killer for me. I will not stay here again. Some items are easily curable and obvious the moment you have a towel in your hands. There are no towel bars near the vanity or shower. Nor does the shower have any clothes hooks. Duh, seriously folks! Unit #5 is at the back of the building where the loud and obnoxious sound of a pressure washer going on and off intermittently and often all day long becomes the dominant sound in the unit. I understand the need to clean the fleet of golf carts but would have asked for a room at the front of the building had I been warned. Consider yourself warned as their website or Booking.com makes no mention of this. I booked through Booking.com which showed an private outdoor deck with a balcony and lake view. It is true that if we took chairs from the room and put them outside on the common area 2nd floor outside open air walkway to all rooms then we could see a mostly obscured view of a sliver of water. Liar, liar pants on fire rings in my head! Don't stop here, I have a few more facts that might help you in your own decision making.
The sitting area carpeting was badly stained in several areas. Spot cleaning anyone? The sitting area had a 6 halogen bulb ceiling fixture near the door with ample light in a warm eye friendly spectrum. In the murky depths of the 20' long room ceiling 2 canister lights used very harsh LED bulbs that ensured I never used the lights. It's a good thing I brought candles! Just kidding - too dangerous. A floor table lamp would be helpful.
Like spiders? There was no surcharge for the ~25 spiders that wandered in over the 3 days we stayed. The entry door no longer aligned with the door frame so of the estimated 150+/- spiders nested in their webs along the ~90' length of the exterior open air walkway, it's ceiling and between the spindles under the side handrail, the more social ones visited us.

No breakfast
Wrong room when we got there. Waited full afternoon to get right room. Carpet was filthy. Furniture is worn. Lots of spiders everywhere!!!!

The staff

They billed me $432.50 twice. Can’t get a hold of anyone there. Booking.com is no help either

it was right near all the bars so we didn’t have to go far to have fun! the cleaning guys were very helpful and helped us get in our room quickly!
The staff weren’t the most friendly. They canceled my golf cart reservation without telling me, and then didn’t have another large cart available. I ended up spending more money for 2 carts to accommodate our group. They don’t tell
you prior to arrival about a $250 deposit per room that comes out on top of the room itself.

That was great
Nothing have been using this hotel every time the we come
3.3
Location to downtown
Pool to far away
Beds sag
Tv didn't work
Bugs on door

booking thru third party gave us a motel room rather a sweet room
back in the corner by a row of golf carts smells of fumes and gas we left a day earlier and the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. Bugs all over the door and inside
3.3
Nothing
Dirty, lots of bugs, no services, bad staff, and too expensive
3.3
the location
there is 250 deposit per room, that isn’t mentioned on booking.com or edgewater website, and it was a horrific experience the first night to check in

loved the location, close walk to everything. Loved the room size, plenty of room!
my only suggestion would be an inside check in counter and separate from the golf cart rentals counter. The check in counter is located with the golf cart rentals and the line is extremely long!!!!

We visit Put in Bay once or twice a year and have for the last several years. This was my first time staying on the island. It will most likely be my last, because according to the man in the office this is how the entire island is. I don’t know that I believe that, but I am not going to risk it.
The location is nice because it is in the middle of everything. But the location is also the problem because it is right next to one of the loudest bars on the island and people were standing outside of our room and fighting until three/ four in the morning.
My room was dirty. There were brown smears on the ceiling. There were bugs everywhere. I think this is because there is a 2 inch gap between the back door and the floor. But the two other rooms we rented were relatively clean. It was one of the “luxury suites” that was dirty.
I don’t typically write reviews, either negative or positive, but this hotel was such a disappointment. I just want to warn other travelers before they spend their money to go to the island.
There were people screaming and fighting outside of our room until four in the morning when the police were called. There were people banging on every hotel room door at three in the morning. I attempted to talk to someone in the office, and he told me that that is the experience you get there. The police are often called and there was nothing he could do about it. And he did not want to talk to me. He put his hands up in the air and walked away. He was extremely rude and ambivalent. I was not looking for anything from him, other than the fact that I would think he would like to know about my experience as a business owner. He did not.
Other negative reviews on the internet have been fought with criticism by management. I did stay at this hotel and I have the receipts.
I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you are there to get hammered and don’t want to walk more than 30 feet to your hotel. It is right next-door to one of the loudest bars on the island. I was actually afraid for my safety and grateful when the police showed up. I got about an hour and a half of sleep each of the two nights until the hotel workers showed up in the morning and started moving golf carts around at about 6:30, and they are gas powered and extremely loud. This is also a large golf cart rental site for the island.
This was a stay for friends for a bachelorette party, and while we attempted to make the best of it, I am hugely disappointed that we stayed here.
I could not wait for sunrise so I could feel safe on Sunday morning. If we weren’t on an island, I would’ve left during the night. I attempted to talk to someone from the hotel as soon as they opened. The first night(Friday) was noisy. The second (Saturday) was when all of the violence and police actions happened.

Right in the middle of downtown and only a short walk to everything

I like the ease of access in and out of our room. The location is so convenient and is the main reason for choosing this property.
I don't like that when you open the window coverings that everyone that walks by can see in. I like the sun/day light but privacy is important to me. Some type of window covering under the drapes would be have been nice.

Most of our interactions were not good, but there were two female staff members that were kind. That's about all I can say.
Registration was awful, I should have known. I thought it was worth the hassle for a suite with a balcony and a view, but, it is ridiculous that this is called a luxury suite. For what we paid, we could have stayed at Ritz Carlton and there was absolutely nothing luxurious about it. No amenities, the view is a joke, no furniture on the "balcony", horrible, horrible old mattresses, horrible lighting, no coffee maker, no water, etc. We arrived at 8:15 pm and there was no place to check in, no signs, no desk, no lobby...we called the number on our reservation and were told that the desk (which is the golf cart rental window) closes at 8 and that we would have to come to their other hotel to pick up a key. We had no car, our luggage and no idea where we were. Eventually, someone did bring us one, but really ridiculous situation. They did allow us to move to the other hotel the next day, which was a little nicer, but our room was directly above the pool where music was playing so loudly all day long that we couldn't hear ourselves think. We could not get a refund, so, we left the island, paid for a suite that didn't exist and another decent hotel in Cleveland for 1/4 of the price for the remainder of the trip. Terrible decision for a weekend getaway.
They kept saying that they are understaffed and cannot find help, but maybe the price should reflect that you will get understaffed service because when you are paying excessive prices for a "luxury suite", service matters.

Everything! Incredibly spacious and clean. Right on the strip so very convenient. Would definitely stay again!

The location was right in the middle of the town which was nice! The staff was super helpful!
The room was big however, the facilities weren’t the best. The door handle broke when I tried to lock and had to have someone come fix it. Our neighbors had their TV on full blast all night.
3.3
perfect location, also really nice that their was a golf cart rental right there. Was a lot bigger than expected!
was slightly dirty
3.3
No breakfast
There’s a little repairs trim at bottom of wall. Lamp didn’t work. Security locks could be better, deadbolt didn’t work properly

We enjoyed the help from Glenda. She gave good suggestions for restaurants. The staff instructed us in use of cart. Great location! Comfortable beds. Updated shower. Good tv.
There were no washcloths, Kleenex, cups, no WiFi information available in room until we called Glenda. No bedside lamps for reading.

This property had a good location, right downtown, walking distance from most of the major restaurants and bars.
Parking was a bit of a trek. The hair dryer also caught fire when I turned it on, I got no replacement or even a sorry. Linen’s were gross and there was no hot tub to be found. Pretty unsatisfied, won’t return

The hotel is centered in town with access to the restaurants, stores, park, golf carts. Our room had been recently remodeled. The towels were clean.
The hotel is not run like any hotel I have ever been too, There is an out door type window where the staff sit at, (think cafeteria type window). They were pleasant enough, but did not give any direction about ANYTHING when checking in. We had to ask where the pool was located, golf cart fees and how check out went, (because we were leaving early and they are not stationed in their window until maybe 11am and leave by 8pm.) We are thankful we did not have any emergency or a need before or after those times. The hotel seemed seedy. Upon arrival it looked uncared for. The walkways and stairwells were filthy and full of bugs. Perhaps one of the 3 ladies sitting in the office, (one I saw repeatedly slapping her small child for not eating) could be utilized to sweep/blow, wipe the common areas and even high dust the spiders that are on the room ceilings.
Our one beds was comfortable, the other one shook in all directions. The bed looked nice, but was not made properly and had a cigarette hole in it. I honestly felt dirty in the room because of the entire environment.
Last evening there was a slight odor of marijuana coming thru our air conditioner.
While it was fine with us, the room was not cleaned, (bed made, fresh linens) once on our 2 day stay.
I appreciate that the hotel is not used ot catering to folks like us who are not there to get drunk and party, but a higher level of customer service and cleanliness should be expected no matter who is staying.

Nothing
The room didn’t match , the pictures that we saw when we booked the hotel room. The swimming pool is 3 blocks away. No breakfast included in the price. The entrance of the hotel is in the backyard of a body shop.
