This is one of the most unique hotels we've ever stayed at!

truly one of a kind property that has been immaculately restored. it’s part museum and part hotel with gorgeous decor and fantastic finishes everywhere. Todd was awesome and even booked some happy hour musicians for Friday night. Would strongly recommend this for anyone visiting since it’s a great location and a historic experience in one

Everything! Well except what I didn't like. But this place is so unique and quaint. The rooftop deck is a great place to have morning coffee or an evening cocktail.
The children yelling/screaming/crying and running around at 8 in the morning

Todd, he was awesome! He gave us good spots to eat and great places to visit. The place smelled very good and was clean. The set up and decor was very cool. Definitely will stay again!

First-class experience. The Inn at the Old Jail is an absolutely delightful place to stay that is only exceeded by the tremendous and incomparable hospitality afforded by Todd, the on-site manager. Gracious, accommodating, and a fountain of knowledge about the city and its music/food/entertainment scenes, Todd was undoubtedly the best guide and host I have ever experienced traveling. The Inn itself is an immensely comfortable and friendly establishment that doubles as a fascinating museum. Most importantly, the Inn functions within its community and not apart from it. Easy access to all New Orleans has to offer. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

I loved staying at the property bc it was different and social media worthy.
the windows get condensation that was dripping from the window on to the bed, but I don’t blame the host. he can’t control that unless he moved the bed away from the windows.

Good location in walking distance to French Quarter, very nice rooms and facilities and Todd is the best and friendliest host ever!
Unfortunately it is a bit noisy.

The building is amazing - so much history and it is appropriately decorated. Breakfast isn't served, but there are various cereals, fruit, milk, coffee, tea, etc. that is available. There is a shared kitchen that can be used, which makes it convenient to bring home left overs.

Beautiful location, super friendly and helpful staff, great value!

There was always fresh fruit, cereal, coffee and water available. For any other food needs we had to go off property or bring items in and prepare them ourselves. There's a fully functional kitchen available to guests. There are good restaurants within walking distance. Also there's a corner store nearby and a Whole Foods about 5 mins away.
The building itself is cool especially if you are a fan of history and preservations/renovations. It's about a 10 minute drive from the craziness of Bourbon St, which was perfect for us. Very quiet area, but close enough to the more raucous activities when you want that. Uber is a great and easy way to get around.
It wasn't a problem for us, because we booked 2 adjacent rooms and were on the same schedule as our friends next door, but the walls are a bit thin so we could hear our friends next door talking on the phone etc. If, for example, the guests staying next to us were up late and being loud, while we were trying to sleep it would not have been great.

We arrived after dark and the check in was seamless. The lighting inside made for a beautiful entrance. Very Cozy and warm atmosphere! I loved the decor and the “inn keeper” was handsome, an added bonus!

This is not a cookie cutter place. It has character and it's out of the tourist mainstream. It's convenient and comfortable. The owner, Todd, is a wonderful proprietor, friendly and helpful, but not always in your face.
Not much to dislike. It would be nice to have some facial tissue, that's about it

The self serve cereal for breakfast with fruit and tea and coffee. The kitchen came in handy for hearing leftovers too. Welcoming stay in a charming historic hotel. Much more soul and character. So glad we chose this inn over a chain location
Parking seemed an issue but the neighbourhood was fine and safe. Grateful for free parking right outside the door.

Absolutely adored our 4 night accommodations at Inn at the Old Jail. So convenient to Jazzfest too! Todd was an excellent host and made sure we had everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, even provided fest chairs to take. We loved staying in "The Cage" and will definitely re-book in future. Best Nola stay ever! Thank you, Todd!

One of the coolest places I've stayed in any city: immaculately restored, located in a gorgeous and historic area, close to great food, and exactly the sort of unique place I'm always grateful to find. Owners were super helpful.

This was an incredible and unique find! The owner was friendly and gave us a great tour of the Inn at the Old Jail, detailing its rich history. Our room was comfy and cute. The shared space (kitchen, lobby, library, entertainment area) was beautiful. I loved the huge rooftop deck!
No TV in the room caught me off guard. That’s it.

The most interesting and amazing hotel that I have ever been.
We just loved the architecture, style and historic atmosphere, my kids also loved the pianos and the vibe of the hotel.

The renovation that Liz and Raul did to this historic building is amazing! Liz is knowledgeable about so many things. The rooms are good size and comfortable. The communal kitchen allows you to have your own snacks and beverages so you don't have to eat every meal out if you don't feel like it. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
