Very clean, Good location

We liked being on a lower level was a plus. And in the middle of town. Was a cozy room.
There was no microwave. Microwaves are a convenience for a lot of things. I had to go buy a blow dryer. There are always blow dryers at other hotels. Had to move the bed to get to the plug for medical device for sleeping and trash and dirt under bed. Blanket was holy and falling apart. There were many ants in the bathroom daily and some made it to the other rooms. Internet was horrible even for tv watching. But if you need internet for travel do not recommend this place. Also a little cramped to move around in. No place to set bathroom necessities. Had to use window sill. Also no vent in bathroom and had to open window for steam and it was very chili in the morning. Sorry not a better rating. Definitely won’t stay here again. Wasn’t the worst but you expect some things to get you get there.

The rooms are big and well furnished. Large bathroom with good amenities. Great location. Loved the Valley Tavern restaurant that's part of the motel. Daily cleaning of the room was appreciated.
A little pricey but worth the extra cost.

The room was not clean. The floor was dirty and there was a large pile of an unknown substance on the floor under the nightstand by the bed. The furniture was dusty.

Nothing staff was so rude we were harassed all night by guy next door and so we checked out next morning and stayed at another location when we asked for a refund the lady said she would get with manager I have yet to see that refund
We paid for a room with a fireplace and they failed to tell us until after check in that it didn’t work had no heat at all

it was perfectly clean and quaint and decorated so nicely! The creek and mountains were just so perfect.
I did not like that the restaurant was closed on Monday.

Location was nice
First room 129 was dirty and restroom was used and not cleaned and no hot water Handel. Moved us to room 127 and bath towels had blood on them and had to retrieve towels from first room. Was told the room cost was to be credited but never was and was then told a credit of $35 through the booking.com would be issued and also was not. Beds were thin foam and wooden platform, very uncomfortable.

The location, view, & room size
Our tv remote didn’t work at all, the ac/heat wouldn’t work, sometimes no one would answer if you called the front desk or went up there. The ice machine was broken too.

We are 5 family and have been looking for the lodge we can stay 1 room. This lodge has pretty spay room and we could stay in onr room as we prefered. Room facirity is satisfactory. Mircorwave is very helpful, hot show is alos good.
Location is excellent.
Loggy front opens 9:00 am. But I have to check out by 8:10 to meet Ski school check-in. I could't check out in person and I coulnd't find key drop off. Only that point.

Booking.com gave me a reservation confirmation. Upon arrival to the property after making several calls, finally was able to reach a person who informed me they were closed and not accepting reservations.

Family visits from North of Atlanta to get a couple of days in at Cataloochee. Convenient location that is pet-friendly, and doesn't break the bank is the primary reason we select Smoky Lodge.
The building is quite old and, while it certainly has charm, it does not make for quiet/private rooms. If someone who is less aware of their volume is across the hall, you will hear them, and you will always hear people walking in the halls as if you are in your bedroom at home.

Loved the fireplace and the 3 beds in the room. Definitely great for family and pet friendly.
There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and the blinds were broken so not alot of privacy. Over all a decent place for a winter get away.

Check in was seem-less. Our room had three separate beds to accommodate my family as asked. Location was ideal being beside main road.
Tv mounted on wall was hanging on by 2 screws therefore we didn't adjust angle in fear that it might fall.
Several exposed cords may be hazardous for younger children.
