They've done a great job of creating an authentic, romantic experience! We especially loved the communal areas, where there are activities like giant chess, corn hole, and a hot tub available.
Our only real concern was a strong sulfur smell to the water in our cabin.

Everything was wonderful, so relaxing and the cabin had everything we needed.
Wifi was a little in and out.

The location was convenient.
The cabin's bed was not comfortable. A bit overpriced for the place. Not renovated.

There was no breakfast but we had brought our own food along to cook

The staff was lovely and the facilities were perfect. I loved staying here.
The bed was very hard and there is a central light on the grounds that made it difficult to view the stars from our cabin. A wish that is no fault of the owners is that it would be nice to have some closer trails. Again, no fault of the owners.

The location was perfect, stunning natural beauty. Host was wonderful- friendly and helpful. The cabin was an old one, which we knew, but the rustic charm and gorgeous setting were just what we wanted. Would surely return again.
More electric outlets in cabin would have been nice

The location is the best if you like hiking and exploring Custer Park. Sylvan lake is a short drive.
The WIFI was really spotty, The TV was a Fire TV and needed a good signal, which there rarely was. We didn't spend much time in the cabin so it wasn't that big of deal, yet frustrating to try to catch the news. The WIFI was minimal during the evening hours when everyone was on it.

There was a steam in back that was nice to listen to! There were fire pits by cabins for a fire if you wanted! Hot tub was nice and tucked back! The cabins were located really close to rushmore and Sullivan lake! Close to hill city and Custer which was nice!
Walls were thin so you heard everything that the other people were doing! Only had sliding doors for privacy on bathroom and bedroom with no locks! Beds were old so kinda loud when you moved around!

We rented at this location knowing we were not at a 5 star hotel, but rather unplugging and just being simple for couple days. Our cabin was #12 and super cute, and very clean. We planned on saving money & cooking our meals. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, but no microwave. Would have been handy for the popcorn we brought. Only thing can be negative on! I loved the location, as well as the setting. I had coffee every morning on the deck above the stream and loved watching the squirrels and chipmunks! We brought our 2 dogs, and no issues. Daniella & Tom are the best hosts you'll ever have! Cant forget Lucas their son....he's a pretty good tour guide!
Only thing I can really think of is maybe a microwave?

1. Owners were friendly and helpful
2. Hot tub is nice
3. Fun outdoor activities like corn hole and fire pits.
4. Close to many attractions.
1. Our cabin didn't have hot water for 2 days of our 4 day stay..
2. The bathroom is so small. If you are 5'10" or taller you won't be able to stand up straight whole showering or brushing your teeth.
3. The AC is inadequate for the size of the cabin
4. There are only two usable outlets. We had to go to town and buy power strips and extension cords.

The location was ok and it had a nice little stream that ran through it. They had a nice deck for anyone to enjoy and plenty of seating outside for people to enjoy by the stream as well.
One of the bed frames was broke and the beds weren't comfortable. We got a pretty old cabin that needed to be updated with wiring etc. It seems maybe there should be some building code updates there.

Great location and very kind and friendly staff. However, don’t expect great amenities. Cabins are very small and cramped and very very outdated. On the other hand we did not have a bad time.

Location was perfect. Submerged in nature was exactly what we needed. Staff was so great, above and beyond to say the least. Felt so warm and homey I didn't want to leave.
Can't think of a thing I didn't like

The owner was very nice to this small quaint facility of cabins. The couple appear to be doing a lot of work on this place.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
I believe as this couple work on the property it will become a nice economical place to stay while visiting Mount Rushmore.
Parking is a premium on this property with very few spaces to park. The owner showed me exactly where I was to park and very explicit that I was not to park anywhere else.
On the second day when I returned in the middle of the day there was a van parked where I was assigned to park. No problem I was only there for a moment. I returned later that night and the van was still taking up two spots blocking me from parking. Since it was so late I just parked where I wouldn’t be hit plus I was leaving early the next morning. I just wished she had enforced her policy.
There is no cable tv however they do have a library of CDs.
The only heat is baseboard heat in the kitchen that to turn on you must get on the floor to turn the thermostat.

We decided to find a location with near seclusion from the usual busy hotel sections and this was certainly the place. It is nicely situated 'in the woods' and very quiet with the exception of the babbling brook which is music to our ears. Our hostess was fabulous, friendly, genuine and eager to be of assistance. Sweet indeed.
Although voices can be heard though the walls of the attached rooms, other guests were relatively quiet. We also came at a time when things were just starting to open back up for business. We found a wasp in our room that stung my wife.

We absolutely loved our stay. Cozy cabins with all the essentials. So close to great restaurants, Custer and Mt. Rushmore. Our family will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!
