The location is close to several eateries and near shopping and entertainment. The owner, head of cleaning and cleaning staff are AMAZING…as well as the front desk staff! There is a well stocked for sale snack bar in the lobby complete with personal necessities also. Fresh coffee and laundry facilities available 24 hours.
Not that I DONT like it, but there is no elevator….there is only two floors but the jacuzzi rooms are mostly, if not all on the second floor (which is where I usually stay)…for someone with a mobility issue, it can be tough getting to the room, but it’s worth the work…that’s why I keep coming back!😊

Inside the room is better than the ugly outside
The area, the building… not nice
The remote control was all sticky, ew!

The Allen Park Motor Lodge is a facility that I have known since the day it was built. I grew up four blocks from its location and stayed and swam many times. In recent years I make it my "home away from home" when I am in the greater Detroit area and am always pleased with the cleanliness, comfort and convinence they provide. I will stay there as long as I am able since I know how spacious the rooms are and amenities they provide.

The jaccuzi was great, comfortable beds, no bugs, fairly clean, location was close to downtown Detroit, convenient store with good prices inside of location for snacks and drinks
I could nitpick but the biggest issue we had was that we drove across the country for an event in Detroit and I made sure to call and double check the day prior to leaving that our reservation was still good and that we'd be able to stay, that my payment method was okay, etc. Only to arrive in in the evening when it was still light out, exhausted and waiting for our jacuzzi room we booked to be told by someone other than the person I spoke with (the manager/owner, who was not present at the time) that they had already rented our room out for the night & that the manager tried to call me because my payment wasn't going through (this manager/owner and I agreed upon another payment method long before this happened, they just took our hot tub room out from under us and put us in a smaller room until the next day when another jacuzzu tub was available, not to mention nobody from this establishment attempted any communication whatsoever, even though they claimed they did and this booking was guaranteed/secured). It was extremely disappointing to get out of a car for 15 hours and not have a place to stay when you booked, called, confirmed, etc. so that you could have a hot tub to unwind from a long drive. They got us into a jacuzzi room the next day but given our plans and the drive, we barely even had time to enjoy the second day as that was not the time when we needed it the most. The location was also popping off with drug activity (which we did not care about personally because we keep to ourselves and didn't have kids with us) but it definitely isn't a family-friendly/kid-friendly spot. We came back from our event the last night of our stay to an actual police raid happening in one of the rooms at 2 am lol. I didn't feel completely unsafe there but it was also not a "comfortable" experience. There was also zero accountability or discount. Just a smile and oh sorry...

Location was good - easy to find and close to our destination. Front desk staff was very helpful and kind. They even accommodated for parking our 25 ft trailer. Washrooms were clean. There was also a TV and mini fridge. Was a good stay!
Floors were a little sticky.

Price, friendly staff, cleanliness, jacuzzi tub
No coffee pot in room

i liked the little store in the front office/lobby, it was really convenient and fairly priced, I went in thinking it would be overly priced but it wasn’t! lol
I also just liked the the overall look of the place. The front desk people were nice.
There were little things like old crusted food or something on the bathroom door. The chair was all stained, I didn’t let my baby anywhere near it!

jacuzzi was fun and the room was clean
no coffee maker

All rooms are equipped with fridge and Microwave for cooking Maggie or heating up food.
We have to buy Drinking water from their store, which could be a complementary thing.

The staff was very friendly. The room was updated and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Great value for the money. I highly recommend the Allen Park motor lodge!

Close to the interstate. Beds were ok. Didn't see any bugs. Hot water. Fridge. Microwave. Tv(didn't use it). Staff was friendly. It was pretty quiet besides the cars and motorcycles ripping engine noises like 2 or 3 am. So bring a bluetooth speaker for your nighttime music.
The floor was filthy. Forgot to bring hotel shoes and had black dirt on our feet anytime we walked in the room. Had to use wipes to clean our feet. There are no elevators so if you have problem climbing steps then ask for the first floor before getting there. 2 floors.

clean, comfortable, staff was very nice. Close to everything we needed.
nothing I didn’t like.

Location and price
The carpet in the room was terribly old, worn, and dirty

The room was clean and didn't smell bad. The bed was nice and big and comfortable. The restroom was clean and had good water pressure. The microwave and fridge were both nice. The blinds were helpful.
Outside was not nice. It was very noisy through the walls. The checkin clerk was smoking marijuana before he came in to help me. There wasn't a light as you come into the room, they were spread out weirdly.

Nothing to like here
Simply horrible. The sign at the reception "if the police or an ambulance is called to your room you must check out" says a lot about the cliental. The room was a disaster. The floors were sticky, the tops of the furniture were sticky and gross, the carpet was soiled. It smelled like cigarette smoke, but I was informed that all the rooms are "non-smoking." The nearly homeless seem to inhabit many of the rooms. Take heed and stay away from this place.
3.5
the location was great for where I needed to be
it was very busy street so the street traffic was noisy
3.5
People at the reception were friendly. Our room was clean and big enough. Nice to have a fridge and a microwave (also pretty clean). Only a 10 minute drive from "The Henry Ford", our purpose to stay there.
Could use a makeover from outside. As the street is close by it's noisy almost all the time.
