It was perfect.

Everything is beyond perfect! When you just go inside the hotel smells very clean and amazing. The staff was very helpful and good-humored. We didn't have chance to try breakfast but it was also looking very good. Everything was super clean. We are planning to visit Porto again, we will definitely stay at the same place. Plus in my opinion hotel location is also great. If you are okey with walking, you can go anywhere by walking. But if you don't prefer that you can use taxi etc. which makes the road very very short. And I also need to add that since the beginning communication from the hotel was helpful! You could find a person to ask your questions even before arriving Portugal or Porto.

There is nothing that we didn't like 😍

Precioso hotel en el mismo centro de Oporto.

La atención del personal (sobre todo Sonia) Nos recibió de maravilla. Además no teníamos reservado plaza para la moto y amablemente nos permitió en el garaje un lugar para guardarla. Tienen maquina de café y dulces típicos para degustar siempre. La habitación preciosa y todo bien insonorizado. ¡A 5 minutos del café Majestic!

Alojamento confortável e com localização excelente! Apesar do quarto em si ser de pequena dimensão, tem tudo o que é necessário e acaba por ser prático. Casa de banho ótima e cama bastante confortável. Fiquei bastante satisfeita!

Acredito que o quarto tenha sido recentemente pintado, pois quando entramos notamos logo um ligeiro cheiro a tinta. Algumas marcas de tinta no chão do quarto que facilmente poderiam ser retiradas. Pormenores fazem a diferença.

Le charme d’une maison familiale

Pas d’isolation sonore, on entendait les autres occupants prendre leur douche et parler dans leur chambre. Mais ce n’est qu’un petit bémol ça ne nous a pas vraiment dérangées.

Good

We had stayed before and enjoyed the location, free on-site parking and were able to stay in the same good sized room. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. We booked onto a recommended Port tour which was excellent.

We tried all bank and credit cards that we had on us to pay the hotel but none would work. We had to draw cash out to pay which I think we will be clobbered for by the Credit co. It was the only transaction that failed. Definitely the hotels problem.

Charming boutique hotel!

Great staff, charming boutique hotel close to where you want to be. Loved the free coffee and cake 24/7!

The room could use a fresh coat of paint but otherwise clean, and comfortable bed.

This is a delightful hotel conveniently located near the city center.

The location is exceptional, conveniently near the city centre. Numerous parking facilities in the vicinity make securing a spot for your vehicle easy. The rooms are impeccably clean and peaceful. The staff is courteous and provides excellent service.

The only thing I would really improve is the breakfast. They were from 8 o'clock, and we were generally in a hurry, but unfortunately, breakfast was not entirely laid out until around 8:30.

We really enjoyed Porto and the hotel was good.

The location was very good to walk to the historic centre. The property is very well mantained. They bake fresh a different cake everyday and they offer it to the guests which is very nice.

We choosed this hotel because we understood there was parking provided, but it seems that you have to pre-arrange it. We had to find a parking lot while there was only 1 car in their parking for all the days.

Very nice hotel, cute and charming, just miner issues but loved our stay.

The hotel is wonderfully situated on the outskirts of the old town. Most of the staff were very friendly and breakfast was really good.

Wifi rarely worked and room could have been a little cleaner. Also note, there is no elevator.

Great weekend stay

Room was clean and modern with lots of natural light. Location within walking distance to city centre and major attractions. Staff were very friendly. While there was no breakfast option, they had new cake for guests each day and complimentary tea/coffee. There are no lifts in the building so not ideal for people with mobility issues - this was not a problem for us.

Toiletries quite minimal - only a combined shampoo/body wash soap. Our toilet had a leaking problem, which was resolved on the same day but came back soon after.

Exceptional

Professionalism of the hotel in every aspect. Super clean and tidy rooms with a fresh smell every day of the visit. Friendly atmosphere and very helpful, attentive and friendly people. Tasty breakfast with fresh, homemade pastries and cakes every day. Good location near main shopping street with supermarkets and local restaurants around. Recommend to friends.

Reasonable value for money, good location to stay few days in Porto

Good location, close to the city center, within a walking distance from the main areas of Porto. Friendly staff, clean space, quite street.

The building is old and its thermal and acoustic insulation is not so good. The air conditioner seemed to require maintenance and was doing quite a lot of noise. The building has a parking space (which is a positive thing) and they charge an upfront daily fee for it, however the space is very small (it's like a house garage) and parking there requires very careful maneuvering, especially if there are other cars there. If you're planning to stay in Porto for a few days and to use your car every day, it may be inconvenient to park there.

A quaint, historic hotel with friendly staff

It’s a quaint property that is convenient to local attractions, shopping, food and drinks. The self check in option with the key coded front door was helpful.

I slept great but some of the people in my group thought it was noisy in upstairs rooms. One person did not like their bed.

Central location, the room was very clean although very small for 2 people, we barely had space to open our luggage. Good breakfast.

Extremely small room for 2 people, there was a huge mold stain and mold smell in the room. At the checkout the employee took the liberty to make very unpleasant comments about our country of origin, not very professional.

Very good

Overall, enjoyed my time in Porto while staying in the Charming Hotel. The location is pretty convenient: a quite street close to the very busy pedestrian street of via Catarina and Bolhao market. The staff is very considerate, helpful and polite, room cleaning service was amazing. Great value for money.

My stay was during the winter month, and in a ground floor room it was a bit chilly. Had to turn on AC from time to time, though it wasn't very efficient either.
