Location - view from the living room was stunning. Made friends with the donkey in the neighbouring field, one of my favourite things about our stay!
The house was beautiful, like a home away from home.

We had a lovely stay at Lakeside House! The area is so peaceful and the lake view is stunning! Jackie made everything so easy and was very welcoming and available when needed. We really enjoyed discovering Connemara and wish to come back in the future.
We highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful peaceful location, ideal for touring Connemara. A wonderful setting to return to at end of a busy day to that fantastic view out across the lake. A world away from everyday stresses! A real getaway from it all location! House is very well equipped and host is so friendly and available for any advice needed. We will return and this has been our 3rd visit to this charming house.

The house is very comfortable and warm and has great character. The view of the lake is breathtaking.
It was our first time away for Christmas and it really paid off.
Only thing I disliked was the beds were smaller than we are used to, but they are inkeeping with the era of the house.

Lakeside House was just lovely; warm, clean and comfortable. It had all mod cons, well kept. Great location for exploring Connemara. Jackie was easy to contact on the phone and had left lovely treats for us on arrival. Games and books available in the house, the stove was easily lit and made a lovely atmosphere. We eat dinner on the patio two nights which has an amazing lake view. . We really enjoyed our week and would highly recommend a stay here. .

I loved every inch of our stay here. The house was spotless and had little added extras on arrival like a fresh leaf of homemade bread some milk and wine. I thought this was a very generous touch. Very spacious and the view was amazing. The only thing negative is that we had to leave.
Jackie was very nice along with her daughter Tara.
( I hope you won your match today on The Aran islands)
See you all again very soon..

The house is spacious and comfy, easily accommodating our capsule of 4 adults and one child. The living room’s view of the lake made for a cozy Christmas experience.
While we never met Jackie in person (COVID-19 and all), we always got a fast and informative response for any question we had. They left the kitchen stocked with biscuits and loads of excellent craft beers.
Various details have received delightful attention - the peat stove has fuel and an instruction booklet right beside it. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and tablets for it. There are tons of books, board games, DVDs, extra blankets, and extra pillows.
The wi-fi, while as slow as can be expected in the region (peaking at 5-10Mbps), performed reliably enough even for video calls.
The living room TV, while functional and sporting two HDMI ports, is quite small. Not great for party games or watching Christmas films.

A lovely house with a beautiful view. A short drive from Outghterard town. I had a great travelling around Connemara.
The lake is right in the backyard and it was very enjoyable to go back to the house in the evening and spend some time looking at the surrounding.
