About this house rental
Voted the coolest small town in the US (we will still be claiming this title 'til world without end), Lititz is the perfect place to hang your hat for a quaint getaway. This stylish and comfortable home dates back to the early 1900s, and is thoughtfully designed, shipshape clean, and within walking distance to many Lititz attractions. Centrally located to lots of Lancaster area hot spots (Spooky Nook, Hershey, Lancaster, etc). Visit with Albus and Neville, our resident goats, and enjoy your coffee on the spacious patio.
Lititz was once voted the coolest small town in the US (have I mentioned that already?); once you've visited, we think you'll understand why. Not only is it the perfect intersection of traditional bucolic wholesomeness and hipster indy coffee shops with skinny jeaned-baristas (wait— maybe this isn’t a thing anymore??), it is the unlikely hot bed of the live entertainment scene and the internationally acclaimed Rock Lititz campus. So what does that mean for you? 1. You can lay in bed and hear Amish buggies going by late on Sunday nights 2. You can sip an organic soy bean vanilla mocha half caf with a quintuple shot garnished with chia seeds and freshly ground flax while sitting outside of a fair trade, local bean-roasting, shiplap'ed/subway tiled coffee shop 3. and you might see Katy Perry walk by while doing so. I mean, I'm not making any promises, but do you really want to risk missing this opportunity by not booking with us?
I don't want to start any rumors (yes I do), but we may or may not have hosted some of the talent rehearsing at the nearby Rock Lititz campus. So staying here pretty much makes you famous by association. I'd like your autograph please. In our guest book. :)
Perfect for families, a girlfriend trip, scrapbooking weekend, clown convention, "I need to hide from my kids for 48 hours" getaway, or a couple on a weekend vineyard tour to gorgeous Lancaster County, Rosey’s is a carefully curated space designed to make you feel comfortable and at home. The house is named for Rosey’s Ice Cream, the Rosenberg family's contribution to Lititz's early foodie scene, which was housed on the property from the 1920’s until the 1980’s. We are within sidewalk walking distance (1 mile or less) to Lititz’s downtown attractions--including ice cream shops, and for the sake of upholding the Rosenberg legacy, you should definitely make a stop. If you happen to be strolling downtown on a Saturday, you might notice Rosey's Lunch Wagon, which is a distant cousin of the original Rosey's Ice Cream Home Delivery Service (Think Amazon Fresh, 1945 style.)
We have a fully equipped kitchen, including a Keurig (K-cups provided), french press, burr grinder, and Chemex; listen- we don't mess when it comes to coffee. Bases covered. High chair/pack and play available upon request- we love little ones, and welcome them wholeheartedly. Full laundry available, as well as laundry necessities (detergent, iron, etc).
On the first floor, you will find the dining room, kitchen (with breakfast nook), full bathroom/laundry room, mud room and living room. The living room has an armoire with a flat screen TV with cable, a DVD player and small collection of DVDS, and a growing collection of games. Catch up on some reading by grabbing a book from our growing library in the dining room. Enjoy your coffee on the front porch, grill outside on the patio in the side yard, or roast marshmallows under the stars (fire pit, outdoor furniture, gas grill available seasonally). Our resident Nigerian Dwarf goats are named Albus and Neville, and they love carrots and raisins and being scratched behind their ears while you whisper sweet nothings to them. Listen—goats, humans... at the end of the day, we all just want to be appreciated and for someone to think we’re special.
On the second floor you will find 3 bedrooms, one with a king size bed, one with a full size bed, and one with two twin beds. This twin bedroom has doors for privacy, but it is a walkthrough to the 3rd floor bedroom; this means that if someone's sleeping in the 3rd floor bedroom and they need to pee in the middle of the night, they will be walking through this room to get to the bathroom- so be forewarned if you sleep nudey :). We provide pre-stamped post cards, so be sure to send some Lititz love to your friends and family. The 3rd floor bedroom boasts 4 adorable twin sized beds, as well as some fun items for the little humans in your life. Each bedroom has a sound machine, and a relaxing pillow mist spray, because we know it's sometimes hard to get to sleep when you are away from home.
This home is semidetached (very common in this area, and sometimes called a duplex or a townhouse), but we do not live in the other half of the house. However, we are just around the corner and can be available quickly for any needs you may have. We'd love to meet you only if you want to be met; otherwise we won't be all up in your biz. Unless you're making something good for dinner, in which case, let's be best friends.
Every single one of you is welcome in this home, regardless of your race, religion, orientation, gender, or political views. We just ask that you be respectful of the property and of the neighbors. We'd really prefer to keep them from having to call the cops on you. :)

This was our 2nd time staying here, and it has been perfect both times!! The hosts are spectacular, and have seen to every little detail. The house is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The fire pit outside is an added bonus. The location is quiet and peaceful, but within driving or walking distance to nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions. We would stay here anytime we are traveling to the area.

Very clean and well equipped house; just ten minutes walk to visit family in nearby Luther Acres, which was ideal for us. Melody was very helpful and responsive in sorting out a few problems for us, during our stay. We'd definitely want to stay again!

We had lived in Lititz in the past, and booked this stay for a return to see the old sites. This was the best VRBO we have experienced--kids agreed too. So many little thoughtful and personal touches. The kids didn't ask to watch TV and spent time outside with the playhouse and goats. The sleeping arrangements are very accommodating. The kids loved the attic room, which was nicely cool with AC even in June. Almost wished we had brought friends.

The home was every bit as wonderful as advertised … amazing outdoor setting for entertaining and nice, easy walk to the quant center of Lititz

The Rosenberg crew, who once called this home, came together for a weekend to reminisce and relax. The home is still full of love and happiness, due to the attention and care given it by the gracious hosts/owners. They have created such a beautiful space that blends all the modern comforts, and nostalgia of the past. If you are going to Lititz, stay at Rosey’s Guest House. You will be delighted!

We loved our stay at this quaint farmhouse perfectly located very near the restaurants and boutiques of Lititz. The house was warm and comfortable equipped with everything we needed. If you have little ones, they will love the playhouse and attic space, with toys and books. Our favorite part of course, were the sweet goats. I hope we have reason to be in the area again so we can return.

Lots of attention to small details that really made the difference. The owners thought of everything you made need that other properties where we have stayed to stayed at provide

Property was exactly as described, communication was great with the owners. It's almost a mile from the center of town so it's walkable plus Lititz has plentiful parking if you want to drive. My family and I enjoyed the July 4th parade and fireworks, actually best fireworks we've seen, and the town itself is the great blend of small town feel with restaurants, bars etc. This was our second trip and when we come back again we will likely want to rent this place again

Chris and Melody were easy to communicate with and answered all our questions or concerns in a quick manner. House was clean, well stocked and about 45 minutes away from Hershey Park. Our boys loved the house and can't wait to go back again next year. They enjoyed playing the games they left and seeing the goats which was something they don't get to see everyday. Boys definitely want to stay there again and no place else. Thank You!!

Our aughter and her bridesmaids stayed here for the nights leading up to her wedding. It was the cutest and made for great pictures! And so clean that our daughter decided to get dressed in her wedding dress at the house and have the photographer come there. Perfect in every way and great hosts.

We had an awesome time in the house and check-in was easy. There was plenty of room for us to hang out and be relaxed. There were great amenities there in case you forgot something little. With the warmer weather they even put out the patio furniture for us to enjoy.

First off, the property. Love love love. The house is adorable and extremely clean.
The renters were wonderful to work with! Little touches that really made a hug impact. We requested to get in earlier. No problem! It was my birthday celebration and they took the time to put up a Happy Birthday sign. Plus, a hand written note with a box of chocolates that were made locally made were left for us.
I would rent this property again in a heartbeat!

The house is even better than its listing. Clean, perfectly appointed, everything needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay and the owners even had it decorated for Christmas. The best word I can think to describe it is charming. From the cutest goats next door, to the welcoming front porch, to all the special touches inside, it was the perfect house for a girls’ weekend. And you just can’t go wrong with the adorable town of Lititz.

I'm not sure i can say enough words to describe how adorable and fun this property is!
I took my daughter and 5 friends for a birthday weekend. It was a 72 hour slumber party! So, my hubby and i def appreciated the never-ending supply of coffee.
The girls fed the goats, and played games, and sat up in the attic bedroom chatting all night. They even played some of the records there left by the owner.
The town of Litiz is worth a trip and this home is a gem. We will definitely return in warmer weather. Thank you for hosting us!

Wonderful stay!
My family has been coming to the Lancaster area for the last 20+ years. We have stayed in many surrounding towns, both in hotels and VRBO rentals. Melody and Chris’s townhouse is the best place we have ever stayed. The home was incredible - beautiful decor, short walk to downtown Lititz, very affordable! My children loved the goats best of all.

Relaxing stay
Home was amazing and a home away from home. Rosey’s Guest House had everything you need when it came to amenities and toiletries that a family will need. We can't wait to return.

The owners are very nice and accommadating. They go out of their way on the detail of the property and amenities. It is in the little details such as soap, coffee, etc that they stand above all the rest ..at least at other places that I have been. The house is warm and cosey with much artistic flair. A-one
