About this house rental
Seaside House, which has recently been redecorated and refurbished (Feb 2022) and named in "Trip Advisor's top 10 holiday rentals to stay in Northumberland" (September 2020) is ideally located on the outskirts of Seahouses. Recently updated and refurbished, this tastefully decorated property benefits from a peaceful location, yet within walking distance of the harbour, beaches, golf club, and the village with it's many pubs, restaurants and shops. At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from the harbour. The stunning Bamburgh castle and it's beautiful beach is only 3 mile away, and the historic market town of Alnwick, with it's majestic gardens and castle (used in many movies including Harry Potter), is only a short drive. The heritage coastline is dotted with more castles, beautiful beaches and fishing villages, as well as Holy Island.
The Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National park are close by, as well as the border towns of Berwick and Coldstream. Newcastle and Edinburgh are also easily accessible. Seaside House is an ideal property to stay, with it's sleeping flexibility, 2 bathrooms upstairs and cloakroom downstairs. Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival time after 3pm. Departure time 10am.
Due to Covid-19 we are undertaking extra cleaning and sanitizing at the property.
We will continue to supply bedding to all beds required, but we now kindly request guests to strip all bedding at the end of their stay, and place into Wash Bags provided.
We also continue to supply all towels, including t.towels.
We do allow guests to bring their own bedding/towels if they wish ..but must communicate this to us, when they book or before arrival date.
We are planning a refurbishment during this winter (2021). From 2022 2nd bedroom maybe 2 single beds

The house contained everything we needed including parking x2 spaces. Exactly as expected from the info on the website.
Would have liked an initial acknowledgement from the owner.
The design of the dining table legs made it difficult for 3 adults to sit at without moving the sofa.
Cleaning could be better - dust on doors, pictures and under the coffee table.
The neighbours budgies chirped from 5am.

The house was very well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Nice lounge with plenty of books, CD's and DVD's. Great location a short distance from the sea, shops and pubs. We would stay there again.

Lovely home, well located and well appointed. Nice welcome pack and thoughtful in what was available at property. Good communication from owner. 10 out of 10, thoroughly recommend

The property is in a great location, the facilities are great, it's short of nothing. Russel (owner) was easy to contact and Ray (maintenance) was pleasant and efficient. The only negative I found was the TV was rather dated with poor sound quality. My mother is hard of hearing and there was no option to add subtitles. I know that may sound picky but if there a bad weather day you need some entertainment in the property. I'd just ask Russel to update that and it's 100%.

The photos don't do it justice, this is a lovely spacious spotless cottage with everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Quiet location within a few minutes walk to the beach and into Seahouses. Russell was so helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. We were welcomed with some very generous welcome gifts! Lovely neighbours too who helped us locate the keybox on arrival. We really fell in love with the place can highly recommend. We certainly hope to be back in the future.

Adequately furnished, one double bed, and 2 singles
Good location on small estate, easy access to towns along the coast and inland. Short walk to rocky beach, but sandy beaches still within reach. Also a short walk into seahouses for shops and restaurants. Owner kept in contact before and during our stay

House was clean, airy and very comfortable. Russell has thought of everything, down to sellotape! Welcome pack best I've had. A short stroll to coastal path, harbour and shops. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed week commencing 22nd July 2023. The facilities at the house were very well suited to our requirements. It is a short walk from the harbour and the supermarket. We came across a playpark in the local estate (on the side of the petrol station). The children enjoyed the rock pools and the local beaches. Bamburgh Castle is a short drive away and there is a lovely park area close by. We did the Holy Island boat trip which was well worth the price we paid. The neighbours are friendly and very helpful. Oh and free parking is designated for the house.

Lovely house conveniently located for coastal walks as well as shops. Very quiet area. The house was well supplied with everything we needed and it was great to be able to leave the car and start walks from the doorstep. Neighbours are also very helpful and welcoming.

Was a great stay - perfect location and having neighbours who look after and know property is a bonus

Perfectly located for easy walks either along the main road or the cliff path into Seahouses. Lovely to arrive and find milk in the fridge and some treats in the lounge - most welcome. House was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The lady who lives next door and looks after the house was very welcoming. Nice to have two allocated parking spaces as our adult daughter drove herself up so we had two cars. Sadly it rained quite a lot but we still managed to have a smashing time with this lovely house as a base. One thing to note is that the fridge has a good sized freezer under it - very useful if you buy some frozen ready meals to make your life easier as we did! Loved the seaside themed decoration. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect for our week in Seahouses, this comfortable house is well equipped and in a great position just on the edge of town. Everything is in walking distance and we enjoyed our evening strolls via the headland (accessed by a path at the end of the road) towards the harbour very much. There is a nice back garden with outdoor seating, and glimpses of the sea from the front of the house that were lovely to see. My daughter loved the fact she could see the Farne Islands from her bedroom window too - a very pleasant place to spend a family holiday in a beautiful part of Northumberland.

Gorgeous little bolt hole for our holiday. So close to shops, sea, pubs 😊

The house is very well equipped and very much a home-from-home but by the seaside! Lovely sunny areas at the front and back to sit out. Perfect location - 5 minutes walk into Seahouses, but away from the hustle and bustle.

Lovely place to stay. Would recommend

Great location
Very nice location and lovely quiet estate very convenient to visit the areas around.
The house wasn't as clean as we expected but nothing too serious. The one downside was that the main bathroom needs a shower especially if you are renting with older children or parents, but all in all very nice house

Perfect stay
Clean, well presented property with every thing you could wish for and close to all amenities and sights, could not have found a better place from which to explore the area.

A proper seaside retreat
What you see on the website is what you get an absolute gem of a place to stay clean, warm. comfy and homely in a quiet location walk to the end of the road across a field & you are on the beach a walk along the coastal path and you are in Seahouses. Lewis fish and chips worth the visit and Elan pizzeria is a must. Highly recommend this property.

Perfect Northumberland seaside holiday
The cottage is so welcoming, well equipped and cosy. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and Seahouses.
Would highly recommend to anyone and stay here again. It was great to find a cottage of this quality for the price and nice to see the owner had not inflated the cost due the increase of people holidaying in the UK like many others have this year.

Great location and well-equipped
A very comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and well-equipped property in an excellent location on the edge of Seahouses, a moment’s walk from the seashore and within easy reach of a wealth of beauty spots. The owner made huge efforts to be COVID safe, going as far as alternating TV remotes, the DVD collection and sofa covers between stays and providing two bottles of antibacterial hand gel. It was a shame that the cleanliness of some areas such as the dish drainer, inside of clothing drawers, bathroom accessories and bedroom and bathroom surfaces etc. had been somewhat overlooked and were noticeably grubby on our arrival. The bedding is also rather tired and ill-fitting - next time we would bring our own. Overall, the house is good value in a great part of the UK and we would choose to stay here again.

Excellent accommodation in Seahouses
This is a modern property with everything that you could possibly need for a weeks self catering. It's about a five minute walk along the cliffs to the harbour and the shops. The property also benefits from trouble free parking.
The owner takes Covid and the safety of guests very seriously - something that we greatly appreciated.
The location is superb for boat trips to the Farnes, as well a coastal walking from your front door.
And finally great WiFi should you require it.

We had an excellent week at this nice comfortable house. The location is perfect for the village, with a short walk by toad or coastline path to the harbour. The owner went out if his way to make sure we had a brilliant time

Excellent property
The property is comfortable, well equipped and maintained to a high standard. It is perfect for visiting the lovely coastal scenery in the area. It was an easy walk into Seahouses where there are several shops and restaurants. Try Lewis`s for fish and chips! Would not hesitate to recommend staying in this house.
