About this apartment rental
Flat for 6 people (2 bedrooms) in a villa, ground floor with private garden - 5 min walking from Biennale cinema festival’s hub, beach and lagoon.
The Lido of Venice is a thin long and narrow island that stretches for about 11 km between the Venice lagoon and the Adriatic Sea, connected to the city and the mainland only through Vaporetti and motozattere to transport vehicles (ferry-boat). As well as being so close to Venice, the island of Lido has always proved a fundamental link in the long chain of inlands dividing the sea from the lagoon: being a narrow strip of land squeezed between two different water systems with their temperature differences means that Lido's air is never still, but constantly moving in a light breeze -making the island excellent as a salubrious place to stay. There is a wealth of plant life and greenery on Lido. One can see why it became a favourite resort for those intent on reinvigorating body and mind.
Lord Byron would come to the Lido as often as possible: in the day he would take a horse and ride the length of the isle, to then while away the evening at San Nicoletto. Moved by the sun setting over the lagoon - just as many other poets and writers have done over the centuries. History tells us that wealthy aristocratic Venetian families chose Lido as their 'place of delights'.
Museums/Palazzi things to see: Guggenheim, Palazzo Grassi, Palazzo Ducale, S. Mark Square and Basilica, Palazzo Fortuny, Arsenale, Hotel Gritti (inside, have an aperitivo!), Jewish quarter.
Islands: Torcello, Murano, Burano (a day trip)
The property is located in a quiet and safe residential area, just a 15 minute walk from the vaporetto (waterbus) stop that connects to the centre of Venice every 10 minutes, and 2 minutes from the shore overlooking the Venetian lagoon and its breath-taking sunsets, among trees and oleanders. There is free parking aside the house but a car is hardly needed. The house is 3 km from the centre town, to get to San Marco it takes 30 min in total.
Within walking distance there are: Cinema Festival Palace, Excelsior Hotel, free beaches, school of Venetian rowing, gym, volleyball, horse riding, basketball, archery, mooring, sea-front bike riding, supermarket, tobacconist, newsagent, bars, pizzeria. Golf is a short taxi ride away: the Lido di Venezia Golf Club is well-known around the world. All around the Golf club there is a protected WWF green Oasis. Inside the Lido Golf International Club you will find a restaurant well-known for its genuine local cuisine.
The apartment is completely self-sufficient, like a second home, with all modern facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, vacuum cleaner, stereo system. 3 bedrooms (sleeps 7), 2 bathrooms, dining room/kitchen, living room and a large private garden.

We had a very comfortable stay at this spacious apartment, which in reality turned out to be a ground floor of a villa with a private lawn! Location is lovely: very quiet, beautiful, 5 mins to the beach and just few steps to the waterfront (great for evening walks). We cooked a lot and gave the kitchen a good run! Fount it well equipped with all appliances working. Kettle would be great though (as tea drinkers we really missed it :). Tuesday market was just at our doorstep and it was wonderful! Otherwise basic supplies are available from small shops nearby or one can take a 10min bus ride to Coop - big supermarket towards Malamocco.
Communication with the host was very smooth and prompt. All the questions we had were answered in a matter of minutes.
To sum it up - we loved our time at this place! Definitely recommended!

We stayed in this beautiful house in july, and we enjoyed it very much. The location is perfect, central but in a peaceful side of the island, and strategic for the shopping at the market.
The owners provided everything needed to stay comfortable and we surely would go back again.

Nice flat, a little bit far from the ship station, we have great problems to get our deposit back. The owner not answer our E- Mails and telefon calls, after 3 Month with help from FEWO we became the Money back.

This is a wonderfully located flat in a quiet residential area of the Lido. Spotlessly clean with excellent quality beds and bedding. Excellent access to public transport to get to Venice.
There are plenty of restaurants and shops around the corner and the beach is a short stroll away. I played tennis in the tennis club around the corner.
Highly recommended

We stayed at this property over Christmas and it was brilliant. It was lovely to arrive by boat and easy to get to (given the great instructions provided by the owners). The apartment is well set up and spacious. It is in a great location for the Lido and easy to access the ferry port. The owners provided us with lots of information to make our stay enjoyable. We now need to return in Summer!

I stayed at this house last september and I really enjoined it. It is comfortable, clean and spacious, with a beautiful private garden. It is idea for children because on the ground floor and five minutes walking distance from the beach. The family who rents it are really kind and reliable. We had fantastic time there and like to go back next year.
