Excelente Desayuno y Ubicacion

El desayuno excelente , mucha variedad para comer (entendiendose que es Europa) , la ubicacion es buena como a 300mts de la estacion de tren y autobus. la habitacion que nos toco era tal cual se mostro en las fotografias , el personal es muy atento y nos dejaron dejar las maletas en el hotel luego de realizar el check out.

Beautiful Spot

Rm 266 I think Room cosy with handbasin, only toilet and shower shared but never saw anyone else. Shower closest to the stairs was fabulous, lots of room, great pressure. Train track close but couldn't hear it with double glazing. Reception, breakfast and cleaning staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with ham, salami, cheeses and hard boiled eggs. Easy location to trains and having a free pass to the buses also great.

I'd loved everything about the hotel and Grindelwald.

Great stay on a budget

Really lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast was great, always fresh selection and really good coffee too. Would stay here again.

The building is old and nor very soundproof, but it was never a big issue for me as I sleep with earplugs.

Excellent vacay

Breakfast so good, the staff also so friendly, shared bathroom always clean. The hotel is near to the train station, coop, many restaurants around.

One night I couldn't sleep because the next room so noise.

Café da manha muito bom. Limpeza da area em comum Hotel bonito, com uma bela estrutura O Banheiro compartilhado é muito bom Localização ok, não é longe do centro,

Nos colocaram num quartinho muito pequeno, acredito que tivemos azar , parecia um quarto de deposito. Realmente um quartinho muito pequeno e desconfortável. tinha duas camas de solteiro, nao dava pra juntar pq o quarto era bem pequeno. dormi com minha esposa em camas separadas. Tinha tudo para dar nota 10 até entrar nesse pessimo quarto.

We booked one double and one single room. The double room however had two single beds. The rooms were a bit dark and could do with better lighting. The property could do with some refurb, but for the price we paid, I can't complain

Everything is perfect

Is very recommended for solo traveler. I booked a single room with shared bath at very affordable rate. The room size is acceptable and share bathroom is so luxury and clean. I feel so warm when I step into the lobby. I did not expect it is so cozy and nice with this rate. The front desk staff Andrea is very friendly and helpful. You can book the First entrance ticket here with the same rate at the counter, can skip the hassle of queue. The location and breakfast is superb. They serve rice for breakfast so is very suitable for Asian. You can enjoy the super good view with your breakfast. I will definitely go back again.

Take note there is no elevator, but is acceptable for me as I’m staying at 1st floor.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. I got a guest card for free bus ride in Grindelwald. That’s useful. The hotel is not too

The staff is very friendly and helpful. When we had breakfast, one waitress (tall, thin with short hair) always greeted us with a smile. The shared bathroom was clean.

The room was a bit too small and the lighting was not so good when I wanted do some reading. If I had larger luggage, there wouldn’t be enough space to walk around in the room. The ceiling was a bit too low. Though I got what I paid for, some revamp can make this room look more comfortable.

Clean room. Good shared bathroom facilities. Good breakfast and staff helpful.

We had the top floor basic room. Reasonable size but one tiny skylight window. Eventually managed to open it but still very hot at night. Fan was provided but didn't quite take the edge off. In middle of summer will be too hot

Great budget option in Grindelwald.

Its down the hill to the right when you get off the train, in fact you see it from the train window when you're arriving. There is an exit from the train station in that direction if you go there, you don't have to walk all the way around. This is a budget hotel, and I stayed in the main part. It was what I expected for the price but breakfast was even a little better than expected. The single room was small but functional, and not too far from the shared facilities. You are able to buy beer and water in the reception if you wish. Location is fine and there are great views from the breakfast room.

Wasn't super sound-proofed and I could easily hear people walking up the corridor. That doesn't bother me but might bother others.

Traditional lodge

The location is perfect. All staffs were very competent and helpful. Breakfast was good. Overall very high value to price ratio. Definitely recommend. Although the room and facility is a bit old, but this is what I have been expecting by choosing an alpine lodge, simply as authentic.

Place is near to Grindelwald station, staff are approachable and always willing to extend their assistance. Clean and quiet. Breakfast is great with variety of options. Everthing on this place is perfect.
