They call it Hotel, but this is just some rooms to rent in different parts of the city. The only woman in the reception gives her best, but she spends the day accompanying the guests to the rooms, so it took me about two hours to check in. The room was still not ready at 16h so I still had to wait some additional 45 min, which meant I wasted my whole afternoon. As I was on my bike they didn't have any place where to leave it for the night. After insisting, the woman offered me to leave it in a bar storage place. For 80 CHF I was offered a room on the second floor or a room on the ground floor with huge humidity on the walls and very stinky. The one I took on the second floor was ok, but the woman insisted that I had booked the standard room, which was supposed to be the stinky one. Overall very disappointing. My room was acceptable for the price, still very old and uncomfortable mattress, but for the other room it would have been totally overpriced.

The location i the best and 2 min walk from the lake to take a clean and cool swim. Clean and modern with good beds. Fantastic breakfast with view of the market place.
There was some unfinished wiring. We had two rooms and the one on the top floor get a bit how during the day.

The location … very centered
The evening exterior lampposts lighting up the room. No workable shutters to close

Nice and helpful personnel, gave us a spacious room. Delicious breakfast. Hotel in the center of the historical part of Orta, but was not noicy.
You have to know that being in the historical part of the town, you cannot get to the door of the hotel, even by taxi, which service is very bad. They are not answering phone calls. You can write SMS or WhatsApp message. They may answer it but not so quickly and just let you know that they are sorry, but unable to service you. Note that it happened not in the high season.

the property is ideally situated in the center of town. ideal for travelling without a car. the staff is welcoming and the rooms are comfortable. attached restaurant is excellent and good value-for-money
the amenities are a little old, which is fine, except when the shower goes cold (not freezing but not very warm). the building also has some pretty bad isolation so you can hear the neighbours a lot, but its old side is also a charm

nice location. clean bathroom.
we were very confused by the check in process - we were apparently supposed to walk 20 minutes uphill from the actual hotel to check in, thankfully we got someone on the phone. but no one was in to help us. the inside of the hotel stank of cigarettes, there was no wifi, and the kettle was broken. it’s fine that it was a simple room but was quite disappointed with all this.

in the city of Orta, communication before I arrived
there was no one clearly responsible. check out details were not communicated. nobody was at the desk. the room is quite simple, ok for a night or two but not more… the shower needs some work

Fabulous location, clean, breakfast was on the whole good despite a very short walk to cafe.
We upgraded to a room with separate beds as when we arrived, there were no twin rooms available although we requested them and were led to believe they would be available. There was no air conditioning which is understandable in an old property but would have made quite a difference. The one fan didn’t really help
in the August heat.

Hotel location was great, nice and cental easy to walk everywhere
You can hear every noise from every other room in the building

Perla the manager at breakfast was amazing! I cannot rate Perla’s care highly enough! So helpful and I am so appreciative for her welcome! The room was very central to orta san giulio and ideal!

The location is in the town. There was absolutely nothing else positive about the stay and I wish they weren't allowed to operate
Please don't book to stay here:
- The staff are the rudest you will ever find. I was getting married so myself and lots of guests booked rooms here and we all had the same experience
- It is extremely difficult to find where you go to check-in (the hotel is actually spread across many buildings in different locations). I had to ask 4 local shopkeepers to help me find it and then found the owner/ manager in a restaurant
- One of my guests had a cancelled flight so was arriving after the (very small) check-in window. As I was already in town, I went to ask what the options were. I was told 'I have 50 guests and 20 rooms, don't ask me any questions' and then ignored. She made me feel incredibly guilty and said they would move the room to another building. I asked how I would know where the building was, she just said 'down there'. I asked or a map or location, she gave me two numbers which did not work on whatsapp and would not go through when I tried to call.

Very good location, basic apartment but very clean and perfectly adequate for 2 nights stay exploring the local area.
Check in was a little hectic, don't expect high levels of customer service.

location is perfect, the rooms are overall ok, but while we were there it rained a lot and at some point it was raining in the room, over the bed, from the roof. Not really nice.
it rained in the room from the ceiling, there was no reception and the lady/owner was pretty rude.

This hotel is in a great location, within a stone's throw of several restaurants, sites, and shops.
The room can feel a little small, but it was comfortable.

Nothing went well. We were switched from our original booking due to mechanical problems at the site. Then sent to another Piccolo site (Saint Catherines. This was totally charmless and a at a car's ride to the city centre. The room was complete devoid of any charm. The was no hot water, the room was cold and there were no blankets. Very Un

Nice staff in office in the town. Not far from center. Good beakfast in Picnic bar very near to wonderful marketplace.
No wifi, no nice view, no table or chair (room small), naked walls, no parking nearby, no reception in the hotel itself, no restaurant, no air-con. Too expensive for standard hotel.

Location was perfect.
Comfortable bed.
Toilet paper, towels, hair dryer were given.
The walls were full of molds.
Hairs of other guests on the bed sheets.
Door almost impossible to open and close without any noise.
Entrance stairs smells extremely bad.
