Enjoy unbeatable access to college sports and international track and field events at this four-bedroom Eugene home, a welcoming family retreat with central air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, a yard, and a wonderful location within walking distance of beautiful parks and the University of Oregon.
This cheerful yellow home sits one mile southeast of downtown Eugene, just half a block south of the Sunday summer concerts in Washburne Park. Take morning walks through the world-famous rhododendron garden at Hendricks Park half a mile east, grab a seat to watch the USA Track & Field Championships or the Olympic trials at Hayward Field half a mile north, and root on the Oregon Ducks football team each fall at Autzen Stadium two miles north.
Built in 1935, this home is casual, comfortable, and an ideal retreat for a family of Oregon alumni. Spend your mornings hiking part of the 12-mile Ridgeline Trail in Hendricks Park, and return home to whip up pancakes in the full kitchen (with a dishwasher), grab a change of clothes from the washer/dryer, and use the free WiFi to read the sports section outside on the deck and patio. After a day spent in the stands at Hayward Field, you can barbecue with friends on the gas grill in the garden, unwind inside by the wood-burning fireplace, and enjoy the home's very flexible sleeping arrangements (the two twin beds are trundles - one is beneath a traditional full-size bed, and the other is beneath the twin-size daybed).
There's always fun to be had in the charming neighborhoods of Eugene - begin planning your next trip to the Willamette Valley today!

Quaint home and neighborhood and a perfect spot for us to walk to the campus and watch the Olympic trials. My only criticism would be lack of attention to cleaning of floors which needed vacuuming and sweeping. Also, missing fitted sheets on the bed.
Beautiful gardens!

Walking distance to everything, university which by boys loved because they could sports on the turf, restaurant, markets, basketball court. House was cozy and comfortable.

This home does not disappoint. The view is captivating and the finishes are comfortable and inviting. The only small issue would be if people have trouble with stairs. There are stairs to enter and all rooms are either up or down a flight of stairs. It wasn’t an issue for us but wanted to note it. Love, love, love this amazing getaway.

Home location is perfect for UO parents! The character of house is wonderful. The Neighborhood is great. Unfortunately the house is neglected, needs serious cleaning and should be stocked with correct cleaning supplies for dishwasher, new sponges, etc.

The most perfect spot for enjoying the World Championships with the whole family!! We were 12 houses from the stadium... and between the house and stadium: pizza place, bakery, ice cream shop, 3 other restaurants, and a market...plus many other vendors there for the event. The house had the perfect grill and patio to enjoy cool nights and backyard bbqs. In our downtime, we sat in the front yard and greeted ticket holders and fans as they descended onto the stadium from many countries. We walked to the "Pre" memorial...just under a mile from the house. We enjoyed the park just opposite the house. We took day trips to the coast, Bend, and Salem. A great trip to Eugene!

If you are visiting the U of O, the location of this house is perfect. It is within walking distance to the campus. The house was well stocked for guests and the rooms were good sized. The furniture was well-worn but comfortable. The yard could use some attention, but it was a quaint backyard. We would stay at this house again.

We had a group cycling Cottage Grove and Eugene. The house was perfect! The basement was awesome for bike storage and the house was comfortable for 7. AC was so great after a hot ride. The garden is so wonderful we spent a lot of time just walking around looking at the flowers. House is so cute inside. Think about adding a regular bed in the upstairs bedroom instead of on the floor. Also, need an ice cream scoop! Would be nice for 11 am check out but understand COVID probably has changed checkin and out times.

The house is a cute old cottage, very well maintained and functional with a lovely manicured garden and herb and tomato patch on the side in a very welcoming and quiet neighborhood, just walking distance from University of Oregon. There are 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on each floor. The kitchen is fully functional with a lovely view on the vegetable garden. The sitting room is comfortable and allows for easy relaxation. We could easily walk to the university and to nearby restaurants. The bathrooms were also functional and when I asked for a non slip bathtub mat for my 93 y old mother, Vacasa delivered one within the hour! We will definitely rent this property when we return to Eugene.

Great location...But some disappointments
Loved the location. Only negative was we drove down from Portland and having never been to Eugene arrived 20 minutes to 4, check in time. Cleaning staff was still there and they asked us to return at 4. We did. They were still there. We sat out front for 45 minutes. They were still there, we finally left to get pizza for dinner. When we returned another hour later they were still cleaning the house. At 6 pm they finally left. 2 hours past our check in time. there was trash on the floor in the living room and under the furniture. It was frustrating. The yard could use some TLC especially the side garden. Would have been a lovely place to sit and relax but it was so over grown it wasn’t possible. Disappointing.

What a sweet place!
This lovely little yellow house is where I would love to live. Great location! Love the kitchen. We sat outside every evening and watched the dog walkers and enjoyed looking at the tall trees across the street. The gardener in me wanted to lend a hand and prune a bit, but I didn’t bring my clippers! You have a beautiful place. We are 2 ladies, 65+ so didn’t use upstairs or the basement, but it would be great for families. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay!

Neat and Homey
The house was outfitted with bard games, clean beds, furnished rooms, and clean kitchenware! The house is well-maintained, and the neighborhood has many nearby amenities, stores, and fun locations to explore and choose from!

Outside seating area needs some help!
Inside of house was exactly as pictured. It was small but cozy. Location was great. Only drawback was the courtyard. Pictures on the website are misleading. I was really hoping to use the courtyard to grill and hang out with family in Oregon's beautiful summer weather, but the courtyard looks like no one has touched it all year. It was very overgrown and filthy. Complained to property manager but problem was not resolved before we checked out. I was very disappointed for being mislead.
