Nice apartment in great location.

The location was great. It was a short walk from the train station. The owners were very responsive to all our needs. The Carcassonne train station is in the process of modernization. There are no escalators or elevators, and there are many steps.

The lock on the apartment door was very difficult. It was very old fashioned and did not always work the way we were told. At times we thought we were locked out before the mechanism finally worked. This should never happen. When told about the problem, the owner said he would attend to it after we were gone. There were a few other minor problems

A lovely flat in a great city!

This flat is unmissable. It's got everything you want - and a most amazing view over the castle and the town.

Fabuloso apartamento

Ubicación perfecta para ver el pueblo. El apartamento perfecto con todo lo necesario y cocina muy equipada. En Navidad tienes las cuatro plazas de mercados navideños en los alrededores en 10 minutos y a 15 minutos andando la Cite medieval. Si vas en coche utiliza este parking ( P4 Souterrain André Chenier) 7 € 24 horas.

La temperatura de la calefacción era muy justa para darte una ducha. Había un calefactor pero se apagaba al minuto de ponerlo.

Stay here

Great Location, not in the old town, but easy walking distance. Around the corner from the main shopping area and consequently lots of bars and restaurants. Great view from windows. Well equipped and spacious with separate living room. Quick access to municipal parking at a reasonable rate. Would stay here again.

No issues with the apartment, however stayed here during a early summer heat wave, and the only cooling was use of fans and windows.

Absolutely Top Rate. A Must Choice!

Unsurpassed views. One of the few places you can honestly say that being in the apartment was every bit as good as being outside in the town! Every detail thought of in the apartment. Superb short stay apartment

Most beautiful comfortable flat with unbelievable views of the castle

The most lovely top floor flat in the heart of Carcassone. The views took our breath away and the facilities could not have been more perfect.

Superb

The apt was tastefully furnished, has amazing views, and is centrally located. A lovely place to view the fireworks and enjoy the local concerts. Our hosts were friendly and speak English! Loved buying artwork to support an Animal Rescue.

Self catering apartment in great location with panoramic views

Only a few minutes walk from the station but with panoramic views towards the old town. About 20 minutes pleasant walk to the old town. Comfortable and fully equipped for self catering. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Very helpful hosts. Very good value. Great for our 2 night stay.

3 days in Varcasdonne

Clear instructions to access the apartment. It s close enough to walk from train stn. ( We are over 70). There is a fold out sofa in lounge. There was milk and water and couple teabags for us.

the bed is too low for someone with mobility problems it’s hard to use I have arthritis in my knees and found it awkward, and the apartment is not easy to find

Superb apartment, superb location and exceeded all our expectations!

Location and views were fabulous. Well-equipped apartment. Supermarket, restaurants and parking close by. Some groceries provided.

Bookings.com messaging service wouldn't work for us and we couldn't access any messages from the hosts. Fortunately we were able to ring the hosts and then message through WhatsApp and they were extremely helpful - we could not have got access to the keys without that hence the score given to question 3.

Just perfect.

I absolutely loved my little stay here. Sharon is a wonderful and very obliging host which I really appreciated. The apartment has EVERYTHING that you need. Beautiful views and centrally located. I will be back next year for another stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our city break which was only enhanced by our stay at the apartment. Highly recommend it.

Apartment was in a brilliant location. Handy for shops, eateries, canal and Cite. Facilities were very good, apartment very comfortable. Although we were out and about during the day, it was relaxing to come back to the apartment, have a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Sharon was able to accommodate an early entry into the apartment.

We could have done with 2 bath towels rather than having to share one for the duration of our stay.

old fashion apartment ambiance and terrific view over the old city.

window in bedroom doesn’t shut properly. Same with bathroom. Lift was not working first day with help we carried our luggage 6 floors but was repaired following day.

An excellent 3 night stay

The apartment was very well equipped and had everything as described in the property profile. The hosts were very good at communication and the view from the apartment is stunning. We stayed during a heatwave and the fans provided were welcome as the property does not have air conditioning, if air con was available my rating would be 10/10.

Air conditioning, but that is only because the temperatures whist we stayed were exceptionally high and it would not stop us returning in the future at another time of year

Lovely, central apartment with great views of the Cite de Carcassonne and close to the train station

Exceptional location, extraordinary views, lovely apartment - our stay made even more special being thee for the Bastille Day fireworks

Nothing - just be aware if you are there in the middle of summer there are fans but no air conditioning

good, nice place.

Simple but adequate apartment. Enough space, comfortable dwelling. Everything you need is there, and all utilities work. View to the historic city is unparalelled. Grocery shopping on walking distance.

Contact with host was a bit awkward. You leave the key somewhere and the routing to where to drop it isn't very clear. "Leave at the table in the hall", and there's no table in the hall.... Afterwards the host got a bit annoyed with this. I can understand that ofcourse, but maybe work on providing a better way to communicate where to leave the keys.

Exceptional

First, the view was absolutely incredible. Best view of the city we got the whole time we were there. The apartment was also perfectly stocked with everything that we needed for our stay, spices, coffee, tea, even a space heater, and binoculars. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has great natural lighting. It's the perfect place for a visit to Carcassonne!
