About this apartment rental
Welcome to Neptuno 1! Our family apartment is bright, spacious and comfortable - perfect for a family holiday or short break/base while exploring this beautiful part of the Algave. It is literally minutes walk from the beautiful Benagil beach.
The front door opens to a large lounge/dining area with patio doors onto a spacious, south facing terrace with steps leading up to an additional, large roof terrace. From the roof terrace there are views of the sea to the front and fields to the back. We have 2 sunloungers on the roof, also a table and chairs.
We have a full fitted kitchen off the dining area with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer washing machine and dishwasher.
A small hallway from the lounge/dining area leads to two spacious bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has twin beds and a singe sofa bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The family bathroom, off the hallway has a large bath with overhead shower and a separate shower.
The apartment has a private parking space for one car. It is one of 14 privately owned apartments, which are located on the road heading down to the beach. The apartments are surrounded by beautiful flowering shrubs. There is a shared swimming pool and paddling pool with sun loungers to use around the pools, a shower and stunning tiled seat with views across fields.
Our apartment is located on the edge of the village of Benagil, just 5 minutes walk to the stunning beach where the famous Benagil caves are located. Benagil village nestles on the cliff tops either side of a small ravine, leading down to its beautiful beach where you can swim and explore the caves in one of the local boats, kayak or SUP.
There is also a beautiful cliff top walk to Marniha beach or Carvelho beach in the other direction. This forms part of the coastline's infamous 7 hanging valley trail. The village offers a perfect base for a lovely holiday or short break with a handful of excellent locally run restaurants offering traditional Portuguese food.
It is just 10 minutes drive to lively Carvoeiro or the quaint market town of Lagoa. The apartment is close to golf, tennis, shops, potteries, waterparks, bars and numerous restaurants. With its renowned quay-side sardine lunches you can enjoy the fishing port of Portimao, also close by.
For families we have a high chair and a pull out sprung bed is safe for 2 year old upwards as has arms so won't fall out! There is also a cot available on request.
Our apartment is managed by Ana who is super friendly and helpful and is kept beautifully clean by Annabelle.

Great place! Great very responsive Host and onsite property manager. Very Modern and clean facility, well equipped for a weeklong stay! Great pool and kiddie pool. Facility arrangement of 2 bedrooms, 2 twin beds in each was perfect for our family size of 2 adults and 2 kids under 12. A few things to note: AC would be a great addition to the unit, help keep it cool on hot days while keeping bugs out and outdoor noise minimized. This is a busy little area near the very active cave tours. Tour buses of kayakers are frequent.
All in all a great stay and would recommend!!!

The accommodations were exactly as shown. the owner Annabel and the property manager Ana were great to deal with. The suite had everything you could possibly want for cooking, and we made use of the washing machine after being away for 2 weeks already. The location was perfect for what we wanted, a 5 minute walk for the kayak tour, and a 5 minute walk to hike the 7 hanging valleys trail. We used our rental car to explore other villages.The was no air conditioning, but we were able to cool off with the bedroom fans. The pool was so peaceful after long days of exploring. We really enjoyed our 4 nights here, a highlight of our 23 day vacation.

Everything was perfect. The house i very clean, confortable and very well equiped, with washdishes, washing machine, microwave and much more. We slept very well, the beds are great and you can find available pillows and duvet. Nice terrace for relaxing breakfast moments, pool for the hot afternoon. In a couple of minutes you're in the beach, and walking 10 minutes you can find one of the most romantic beaches, Praia do Carvalho. Perfect, we're just desappointed not dedicating more time to this peaceful place.

Best ever! First, the outdoor spaces.Nice ground floor patio. Huge, your very own sundeck on the roof. Immaculate landscaping and a very nice clean and inviting pool. The apartment was beyond spotless, with a very well appointed kitchen. Nice bath with a large tub and separate shower. Bedrooms were large and comfortable beds. Great wifi. This apartment has everything you would need.
Annabel the owner is the best at communicating. Precise directions and great ideas for things to do in the area.
Ana, the manager is so welcoming and helpful. She will greet you with a bottle of wine and a booklet about the apartment and area. Extremely accommodating.
There are many places to eat great hiking trails and beaches nearby.
We havr stayed at many different places over the years and this was our best experience

We had a lovely stay. We were close to the kayaks and the beach . It was a short drive to the next town. We were happy to not be in the busy areas of resort areas. This place is a gem. I would return!

3 days in the apartment was quite enjoyable. Sorry the weather was not warm enough to enjoy the very nice pools and rooftop terrace. We made one walk down to the Benagil beach and up the other side to the O'Garve restaurant which was excellent. Ohterwise used the well equipped apartment kitchen for meals.

Our stay was very enjoyable. the apartment was very clean, spacious and welcoming. Rose met us and also was welcoming. The pool looked wonderful, but because of the wet, cool weather we were unable to use it. The location was good, a bit far from the ocean and Tavira, but we were aware of this. It was quiet in the area. Very well equipped kitchen. Supplied washing machine and dishwasher soap. Everthing was good and we would highly recommend.

Overall true to advertisement. Great pool, very clean and comfortable. Very responsive host as we locked ourselves out almost immediately. More towels would be great. Town plumbing was special to town and not allowed to flush toilet paper should warn people about that prior to arrival. Close to things and overall had a great stay!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Neptuno Apartment. The house is cozy and spacious, everything was clean, and the kitchen had the basic things. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. It was also great to have Ana greet us and give us some recommendations for places to eat. Having the pool just round the house, and also the upstairs terrace and the lovely sitting area outside the living room added an extra bonus to our stay.
Benagil is a lovely place, the beach is close, just down the road, but it's a small one, so we preferred Praia do Carvalho, Praia do Vale de Centeanes (just a short car drive), and for an evening stroll or gelato - Carvoeiro is a must!

Very clean, spacious and perfectly located, a short walk to the Benagil beach. Both Annabel and Ana were very helpful throughout our stay, was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The rooftop terrace is also a hit for sunset dinners.

Our family of three had a great time. This apartment was easy to locate and centrally located to a few restaurants and beaches. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the beaches and caves. Ana was our contact on the ground - she was very nice and even got a drain fixed ASAP after reporting that was not working well. Would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was perfect for our group of 5 (3 adults and 2 kids). Super close to Benagil beach if you want to visit the the cave via boat or kayaks. Apartment had everything we needed including a washer /dryer. We rented a car per Annabelle's suggestion which turned out to be great decision, especially with the private car park adjoining the apartment. The rooms were a bit cold when we checked in, but fine after we turned on the space heaters. Restaurant options are limited and super market is 10-15 min drive away, but we already knew that - so wasn't a problem. We would highly recommend Annabel's place and will definitely come back to stay here if we happen to be in Algarve again

This is where you should stay! Everything was clean, well-organized and the location was spectacular! Tucked away in nice, quiet, authentic Benagil, you will be away from the crowds and able to enjoy the quiet of the beautiful surrounds.

The house is clean, nice and fitted to a high standard. The only issue was that the toilets didn’t flush properly half the time as it’s not connected to mains sewage, so you have to accept floaters hanging around.
The check in process was smooth and the local host was very friendly and helpful.
I wouldn’t recommend the location (in August) the small area is overrun with people going on boat trips. Plus so many bigger boats from nearby coming to see the caves, it makes it very crowded and busy. Other beaches not far away were much less packed. I’m sure outside August it’s completely different, so not necessarily a negative.

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. It has everything you need and more! I have spine issues and the beds and furniture were very comfortable. Very quiet condo. 5 minutes walking from the Benagil beach, and 15 min walking from Carvalho beach ( beautiful). The housekeeper Ana, was very friendly and helpful. Accommodation 100% recommended!

El alojamiento y la comunicación con su propietaria, perfecto. Solo vimos algo peor que el menaje de cocina ( tazas , cubiertos y utensilios de cocina muchos estaban sucios) y que las almohadas , bajo sus dos fundas estaban tremendamente sucias. Es hora de cambiar las almohadas, en serio

Se puede acceder a la playa caminando pero hay mucha gente en piragua y barco. Cerca hay playas más tranquilas y la ruta dos sete vales suspendidos es lá mejor actividad para comenzar el día.

Das Objekt liegt am Ortseingang von Benagil und entspricht absolut den Beschreibungen der Agentur. Wir waren über Weihnachten und Silvester dort als Tagestemperaturen um die 15 Grad. An den Abenden muss man unbedingt den Kamin zuheizen, da die elektrischen Heizkörper die Leistung nicht bringen. Die Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben, vollständig und das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein Kritikpunkt ist die fehlende Steckdose im doch sehr schönen Badezimmer ...wir können das Objekt nur weiterempfehlen, sowie die Betreuung der Nachbarin Ana ... fantastisch Marina und Rocco H.

O apartamento está muito bem equipado e tem tudo o que é necessário para uns dias bem passados. O condomínio é tranquilo e tem uma piscina perfeita para famílias.
Os quartos podiam ter camas melhores (a cama de casal é muito pequena e as duas camas de solteiro podiam dar para unir numa só).
Benagil não tem muito para oferecer por perto e só de carro é possivel fazer umas compras, a praia é muito pequena e não é fácil de ir lá com crianças de colo.

Great stay in Benagil
Went to Neptuno with a group of friends and it was great! The house is very clean and well located. It has a nice patio and a pleasant place to eat outside. The pool is great and it’s always nice to have a parking space for your car in Algarve during summer, when everything is so crowded.

Echt je pakt nergens op mis.
Anna die voor de ontvangst zorgde is super vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam.
In de omgeving is werkelijk heel veel te zien en te doen. Veel fijne restaurantjes dichtbij onze accomodatie in Benagil.
Verder valt het op dat het overal erg schoon en netjes is je ziet nog geen papiertje liggen.
Wij zijn er negen dagen geweest maar willen zeker over een paar jaartjes weer terug komen.
Annabel super dank voor je mooie woning.
En Anna erg veel dank voor je vriendelijkheid.
