I love this property come here every year
Nothing

The Moxy continues to be my Chicago home when I visit. The staff is like family at this point.
Nothin'
4.5
The location was perfect. Was within walking distance for a lot of things we were wanting to do.
Wish there was a mini fridge in the room. But really my only complaint.
4.5
The hotel lobby is higher energy, bar environment. And the room is nicely decorated.
While the rooms are quite small, the biggest issues is that the walls are very thin (you can hear everything in other rooms), and the shower and toiled and sink are all in different areas of the room (so you have walk through the main room to get to each) ... VERY ODD, and very little privacy.
4.5
The staff treats me like an uncle rather than a paying customer. The Moxy continues to be my home away from home.
I could stay only a couple nights!
4.5
Fun and relax lobby with a bar and a few games.
First cocktail is free!
Comfortable bed, small room but well designed
Some noise from the street at night
4.5
The atmosphere and location.
4.5
Nice to have all the games in the lobby and also the bar and restaurant in the lobby.
The rooms were extremely small for the cost but I guess you're paying for the location.
4.5
Place was clean and nicely appointed.
Our room was crazy loud, rooms are very small, and the value kinda sucks for what you get.
4.5
This is easily the best hotel in Chicago. Great views, great bar, great staff.
Not the hotels fault, but the sound of traffic on LaSalle was very loud, even on the 8th floor. Guests with noise sensitivity may want ear plugs

Location
Rooms nor cleaned daily
4.5
good location, spacious room with window, comfortable bed,
every little noise gets through door, it was very loud. linens were wrinkled even though staff said the bed was made, I had doubts
4.5
Location, the design
No cleaning during stay, little surprising in a hotel that costs apx 300 dollar/night
4.5
Fabulous staff and location
Not having bottled water in the room seems a bit cheap for the price point

I love this place! Next time I’m coming to Chicago. This is the place for me to stay!
4.5
Its so aesthetically pleasing
Rooms could be cleaner

The bar, taco shop in lobby
Service is not very good, rooms are too basic for the price they charge. It’s ok if you pay $150 or less but I’d look for another option of the rate is higher

Love the vibe and free complimentary drinks!
I loved everything

We love the lobby atmosphere. Food, games, music, and drinks on site is nice!
beds were a little hard for our liking.

Location was perfect! Staff and Guest were friendly! Nice Bar!
Although Staying at the Moxy was pleasant, For 1 Night 4pm-11am We paid $358 for a room Room (419) and and extra $100 so $458.00 To be put in a handicapped room😅. The Showers were fixed with black visible. No Trash for our Garbage and none of the lights were working. It was a great stay because it was close to a venue we were attending. Just fix up Room 419 and you’ll be fine. For First Timers I would come back just don’t put your first timers in a handicapped room

Little
No closet, no breakfast, wrong charges to my room and $700+ a night is outrageous for something that is no more than a hostel!
4.5
The room was certainly big enough, and I enjoyed the floor to ceiling window, and the view out into the city. The location was downtown, close to the subway, and given what the price was for the surrounding hotels, this was well worth it.
No closets, no coffee maker, and no facility to make coffee in the room. Lack of an iron and board, but I understand there is was a communal area for that if you wanted. I enjoyed the view out, over the roadway, but if you find it difficult to sleep, you'd be better off with one of the internal rooms.
4.5
The hotel was attractive and lively. The downstairs bar was a nice place to relax, and there were lots of things to do. The rooms were simple and clean.
Being double charged. I paid upfront through booking.com. My friend arrived earlier than me so during check-in she used her card for incidentals. Except her card was charged for the room, too. We wouldn't have known had my friend not checked her card. I had to send the hotel my booking.com info and, in principle, my friend should get a refund 3-5 days after the hotel has confirmed with booking.com. But that sucked. Truly.

The location is amazing, only two blocks away from the River Walk. The place is a whole vibe, with young people browsing the lobby/bar area from morning until night. It almost feels like hanging out at your favorite local bar instead of just being at some old boring hotel.
It can be a little overpriced. Yes, the vibe is fun but the room was below average in size and with no specific amenities. If anything, it was comfortable and felt safe.
4.5
Clean, nice view in the rooms with the city view.
I left my cosmetics bag in the room and they couldn’t find it, while I am sure it was there.
