About this house rental
Located in a quiet, gated community, this house ticks off all the boxes. Located all on one level, there is room to spread out with the primary bedroom separated by a lovely open living/kitchen area from the second and third bedrooms. New furnishings and appliances enhance and complement the existing high end finishes. As you step onto the covered lanai, you're in your own private resort oasis! Tall privacy fences on either side fade behind lush landscaping, eyes drawing to the dramatic tiled pool (solar heated) replete with waterfall over the black rocks which is at a comfortable temperature year around. Beyond the lower, level yard, separated by a picket fence, lies your private botanical garden. The gentle curvature in the path, secrets you away through brightly flowered shrubs, palms, bamboo and banana trees to name a few. As the elevation eases you slightly higher, the gazebo at the top comes into view. This is where the true magic begins. It is the treehouse you always wanted or perhaps the fairy castle of childhood dreams, offering a birds eye view of the garden below and an ocean beyond, brilliant blue and kissed by sunshine. Once at the top, the undeveloped property behind stretches the privacy even more. This is where you can enjoy your morning coffee and evening wine, entranced by the view, delighting in the soft breeze and fresh island air. Whales provide the entertainment blowing, breaching and splashing.
Fall asleep to the sound of palm trees rustling and wake up to the birds chirping right outside your window. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, gadgets, All-Clad cookware and much more, whether you choose to simply enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Kona coffee before starting your adventures or prepare a full meal. The property is BEAUTIFUL,the pool is fabulous and the house is amazing. Our family came to Kona to celebrate Birthdays and could not have picked a better place. We enjoyed EVERY minute we were there. The arrangements were easy and the Owners were very communicative. Our family would defiantly come back to this location. Thank you for the great hospitality.

We loved staying here! Very clean. New. Nicely decorated. Loved the pool. Good location. Far enough way to be peaceful, but close to things/places/food. Great!

We celebrated our 70th birthday here, and loved every minute of our stay. Each morning we sat outside and enjoyed our coffee surrounded by bird calls and lush vegetation. We found the host and Peggy very helpful. ♥️

We loved our stay at this property for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary (6 adults). The pool and yard is everything advertised and more - we didn’t want to leave!
The house was well equipped (the beach equipment was an amazing bonus) and the neighbourhood extremely quiet. We loved our stay and the host was extremely responsive. Thank you!

Great stay here with extended family. Close to kona shopping, etc. Owner is very responsive. Property was well cleaned and maintained. We spent more time at the house than originally planned, because it was our own tropical oasis. :)

Look no further, this property will not disappoint. Sumit, the property owner, is easily reached, professional, thoughtful and accommodating.

This is an exceptional vacation home. Well appointed in every way. Swimming pool is warm and refreshing. Easy access to the north or south part of the Big Island. Shortcut trail out of the community allows for easy 30 minute walk to restaurants, shops, and beach along Ali'i Dr. Beautifully landscaped home in a very quiet community.

We loved our stay at Sumit’s property. The house was incredibly comfortable (with furnishings recently updated from the photos posted for a more modern and spa-like feel). We arrived at night and we never tired of a few things that revealed themselves the next morning: the lovely pool area, magical landscaped walk up to the gazebo, and view to the ocean every time we drove into the subdivision. We appreciated that the neighborhood was so quiet yet close to town. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved this house. Everything was well maintained and very comfortable. The location on the island made it easy to get around. The owner was very responsive and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended this house to friends.

Overall property was ok. The third bedroom was dusty, and second bath also could use a good cleaning. Dust bunnies in corners , stains and towels were dingy along with shower curtain. Black stains behind toilet as well. There are only three beds not really four, you have to use a blow up mattress and there is no convenient place to put the blow up. The gazebo was greasy and dirty. So we couldn’t use it unless you wanted to clean it, As well as the tables by the pool, I did clean them. The pans were not all clad they were peeling non stick . Check out list was long, and guests should not have to put out trash cans and do the laundry. For the price I expected the place to be clean and nice. I don’t think the pool filter system was working either. Most time it was hours or the next day before Sumit contacted me back when I had questions. Overall not worth what I paid.

Quiet gated neighborhood that is close to the airport, and has a walking trail that you can take down to the waterfront. Clean and great for our family of six. Beds and linens extremely comfortable. Check in process and owner response was great. Very private and little traffic noise. Livingroom couch was new/comfortable for us to watch movies as a family at night, and TV worked easily. Had everything we needed with beach towels, kitchen well stocked to eat in most meals, and even snorkeling and bogie board. Air-conditioning worked well for us. Also fans in every room. Pool was very cold, colder than the ocean, but able to dip in and cool off. Some baseboards could use replacing (paint chipped/water damage) and the couch in the kitchen area is torn, has an odor and is ready to be replaced. Pesky flies in the morning pool side, and LOTS of mosquitos bites in the afternoon by the pool - the citronella candle that was provided came in handy. Check out process easy, and was a great vacation home for family.

This was one of the best VRBO experiences I've had. The host was so responsive prior to an during our stay. They provided detailed check-in, check-out and house guidelines that were very helpful. The house was super clean. This is a great stay for families with young children as they had a crib, pack n'play and high chair. The location was quiet and great as a jumping off point to explore the island. Highly recommended!

The house was everything that was advertised. It was very clean, spacious and a very lovely property. It did not disappoint! I would stay here anytime that I am in Hawaii. It was a very safe neighborhood and had amazing views.
The owner was very responsive anytime I had a question. He responded within minutes of a text to him and was extremely friendly.
This made our experience in Hawaii even more special!

We loved our stay at this spacious, lovely home. The location is on the best side of the island, central to beaches and food options. The beds are comfortable and the community is quiet. We spent lots of time at the beautiful Kua Bay. Peggy, the property manager was wonderful to work with, as was the homeowner. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our family vacation.

This property is like your very own private oasis. The house was spacious, clean, well stocked and provided ample of space for everyone in our group of 5. It is conveniently located close to the heart of Kona and any other needed amenities. The biggest highlight for us was the incredible yard and pool. Many hours were spent enjoying the heated pool (super comfortable temp) and gorgeous tropical yard. A true haven!

We had a wonderful stay at this property, which included 6 adults and 1 infant. The interior was great, especially the large kitchen, but we especially enjoyed the backyard which was equipped with a grill, space for dining/lounging and a decently-sized pool. Great communication from Sumit from booking through check-in. The location is convenient - close to Kona for groceries and dining options, plus beaches and great snorkeling spots south near Captain Cook. I also took a daily run down to the waterfront via a gravel path in the neighborhood (shortened the trek by quite a bit vs. running along roads). Overall, pleasant stay and very infant-friendly!

We loved every minute of our stay! Above all, the communication and action from the owner & property manager was incredible. When we arrived, a ceiling fan wasn't working. We let them know and not only did they come check on that fan, they also checked on every fan/light in the house and ended up replacing two of them the same day. I've never seen such proactive, guest-centric service from a host!
On top of that, the house is beautiful. It's clean, spacious, in a great, private area very close to town, and the backyard is gorgeous! Highly recommend this property! Thank you, Sumit and Peggy, for a great stay!

We had a wonderful time on our ten night stay. The property was clean, the community was quiet and the backyard and pool were beautiful.
In particular, we would absolutely recommend this to others traveling with infants or small children. We brought our 3 month old and found ourselves moving a lot between the pool, lanai, and back inside without feeling like we were missing out on anything.
We'd definitely come back if we're lucky enough to make another trip to Kona

Large pool property, which is kept very clean. Fully stocked kitchen and awesome bbq on the back patio. A great home for cooking dinners and relaxing by the pool after spending the day exploring the island. Located in a gated community, with an amazing hilltop view of the ocean. Owners were quick to respond to any questions or issues we had.

This was our second stay at this lovely home. The owner and property manager are such a pleasure to deal with. We can’t recommend this property high enough.

We had few issues, including construction of the mailbox every morning for a few days, noise from the lawnmower at 7:00 AM, but the owner was very apologetic and provided wine and chocolate (which is very nice).
He didn't respond to my text related to the empty propane tank (maybe it was an oversight). Not a big deal, we just didn't know where to go to fill it up. We couldn't use the BBQ.
Few things I didn't like: Owner asking about who is coming into the house prior to booking [never had this question being asked before; especially after I told him a family is coming for a few days]. After the arrival, we felt like we were being watched through the front doorbell camera; the AC was also being controlled remotely and I couldn't set it below 72 degrees [often I couldn't turn it on altogether], the lights were also remotely controlled/motion sensor. I get it you don't want to waste energy use/cost, but I expect certain freedom -- especially when you spend thousands of dollars on rental. For example, I like the ability of being able to set the AC at a lower temp.
Anyways, overall it was a nice experience. Just few thoughts for the owner/management to consider. Perhaps instal solar panels?

My husband and I were so impressed with this property. It checked all the boxes. Very well equipped and the pool was our favorite place. Enjoyed the quiet with the waterfall and the birds. It had all the comforts from home. We have stayed in many homes in Kona and this is at the top of the list.
The communication by the owner was amazing. Always responding quickly with great suggestions and answering all your questions. I would highly recommend this place. We will definitely return in the future.

We had a fantastic stay!! The property was well equipped with everything we needed to make family meals, grill out, and enjoy the beautiful pool! Beach towels and snorkel equipment was available and put to good use. Enjoyed fresh ground Kona coffee overlooking the ocean in the gazebo each morning with lots of cute geckos! Towels, sheets, blankets, beds all SO soft and comfortable. Communication from owner was wonderful and provided lots of great suggestions for dining, beaches and activities! I would highly recommend this property!

the house was amazing , plenty of room all appliances included , back yard beautiful, beach towels provided , hair dryers and flat irons provided , shampoo & conditioner and body wash , the location was great very quite and close to the beach and restaurants , when you visit Kona must go to turtle Bech , Alii Drive a street full of gift shops and restaurants by the beach , Lua at Kona resort all these within minutes from the property .

Great stay!
What a great stay! Sumit was so welcoming and very easy to communicate with. I appreciated that he manages the property personally-not a management company. Management companies are fine, it just felt friendlier to deal directly with Sumit. The house was very clean and just as we expected from the photos. My husband loved the rugs in the bathroom and actually wrote down the name of the company to purchase some for home. There were a lot of beach items we could use (including towels) that we appreciated. My kids loved the pool (and the fact that it was heated!). The house is close to many activities that we wanted to do. It was a wonderful stay and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! We would be happy to recommend this property to any friends looking to rent in Kona.

Perfect Paradise
Aloha! My husband and I and our two teenage daughters just returned home from a 10 night stay in this beautiful home,
The Location: This home is perfectly located just minutes from downtown Kona. It’s centrally located on the western coast of Hawaii.
The Neighborhood: The home is located in a private gated community and is extremely safe and upscale. I walked every morning and enjoyed the beauty of the landscaping, the view of the ocean, and the unbelievable volcanic mountain backdrop.
The Home: We loved how this home is configured. The master bedroom and bathroom are on one end of this sprawling rambler, and the other two bedrooms are on the opposite side of the home and share a bathroom in between. The beds are extremely comfortable, as is the living room furniture. The home is completely equipped with everything you will need: beach towels, chairs, cooler, and a kitchen that is stocked as well as my own kitchen at home. The washer and dryer were so nice to have as our days were busy and it’s wonderful coming home with clean clothes in our suitcase!
The Gazebo: The backyard is truly a botanical garden. Lush, fragrant, and completely private, the backyard has a path that leads you through lime trees and beautiful flowering shrubs to a gazebo that overlooks the ocean. We spent almost every morning drinking coffee and looking at the ocean from the comfort of the gazebo table and chairs. These are precious memories.
The Pool: Definitely our favorite part of this property. The pool was the perfect size for the four of us. Big enough for us all to have space, but interesting in its shape, the perfect water temperature, and completely private. We enjoyed the waterfall (both the sight and the sound). Beautiful island birds would come take baths on top of the waterfall which was so entertaining. There is a grill and dining table located poolside and we enjoyed several evenings after long days hiking, snorkeling, and exploring just grilling at home and night swimming in the pool (with amazing colorful LED lights!).
The Hosts: Sumit & Ekavali were absolutely wonderful hosts. Sumit was immediately responsive to all our questions and requests and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect!
If you are looking for a home to rent for your Big Island vacation, look no further. This home has everything you could possibly need and will honestly add so much to your trip and love of this beautiful island!
