One of the best sea view room..just walk from room to beach…

Buffet rates could be consider some discounts when the family is more than 4 members.

Resort correcta per visitar les platges de Bentota

L’ubicacio esta molt be. Pots passejar per la platja i anar a peu a la zona comercial. El check-out està molt be a les 12h. Llit comode amb coixins molt comodes. Balco privat per gaudir de les vistes a la platja i a la posta de sol.

Horari de la piscina, tanca a les 18-19 h. Una mica car en quant a preu qualitat

Hotel sale, mal entretenu, personnel peu accueillant.

L’emplacement sur la plage.

Plage non entretenue - de nombreux déchets. Arrivée dans la chambre, des restes de plats dans le frigo, miroir rouillé de la salle de bain, porte serviette qui tombe quand on pose la serviette, joint de la douche noir, pas de paillasson donc sol sale par temps de pluie. Petit déjeuner catastrophique : personnel peu accueillant (pas de bonjour), croissants et pains rassis. Je ne conseille pas cet établissement.

Good stay and will stay here again if I visit Sri Lanka again.

The view from the room was excellent. It was very pleasant and energy boosting. The breakfast was good and well spread. The reception hall was excellent and filled with cinnamon smell. The welcome drink Cinnamon Ice tea was very good..

The bath room door insdie the room was too narrow. very fragile. Could have been better. Iron box and iron board were not there. We did ask, but not provided. The price of dinner buffet was very high, so we did not eat.

Great location, friendly staff but Hotel is dated and needs a revamp.

Location, fantastic beach, great pools, good breakfast and food. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Dated, Bathrooms need a revamp, Hot water was an issue in our room. If you stay on the ground floor then privacy is an issue.

Ekho Surf Hotel

All the staff were always smiling and friendly particularly the front of house staff. We always felt like we were the only guests there.They made us feel so special.When my daughter got sick staff went above and beyond to help and get a doctor and give advice. The rooms were kept spotless and the beds were comfy and cosy The view from the room was perfect. The food was delicious also.

There was no spa as advertised and no comfy bar as advertised.

Nice swimming pool, good location. If you like the ocean make sure to check when it’s a season and it’s possible to swim as July is off season and ocean is not blue. Wi-Fi and air conditioning was good. Food ok, chef is very good just no options at all what to choose, most likely it’s because it was off season.

when I reached the property at 2.30 pm on 16-05-2023 I was told that the ac isn't working and I should be looking at an alt accommodation not a call and the ac was off since morning only after I reached they sent a message horrible experience

The room was nice and the hotel facilities e.g. gym, spa , pool, restaurant were lovely. Great location on Bentota beach.

We stayed for two nights. We arrived early on our first night and we had no problem waiting until check in time to check into our room, however upon our return at check in time we were told we had to wait a further 30minutes at least. Then we were told a king room wasn’t available but a twin room was. On the second day we woke up to loud music and construction work to find that there was a 500 people event taking place at the hotel that evening from 4.30pm - 11.00pm. We had not been told about this upon our booking nor had we been told about this on check in. The music was exceptionally loud in our room and the volume of people and event meant that the gym was unusable due to the set up of equipment. This was meant to be a relaxing last day of our holiday and unfortunately it was not as relaxing as it should have been. As we explained to staff if we had been informed about this event we would have made alternative arrangements for our final night of the holiday. We found the lack of communication and attitude of staff frustrating compared to the incredible hospitality we received in other areas of Sri Lanka. Whilst the hotel is aesthetically beautiful and reasonably priced for this area of Sri Lanka I wish we had spent a little more on one of the surrounding hotels in the area.

Rooms with pool are the best about the hotel.

Wonderful location with beach and pool in great combination. the rooms right by pool are the best. very calm and staff were incredibly friendly. pool is stunning.

hotel is definitely one of the top ones in the area although quite old and run down, shame. sheets unfortunately were full of stains (looked like foundation and blood?) in both rooms. great potential. bathrooms could do with a little TLC.

Beautiful Location

For us as a couple in their early sixties the location was perfect. The hotel is right on the beach sandy beach whilst at the back are nine or ten excellent places to eat. The staff were all very helpful & friendly. The hotel itself was kept spotlessly clean although as others have said, the rooms do need some updating. However from our perspective this isn't a massive concern as we didn't spend much time in our room. All rooms have a balcony or terrace on the beach looking out to the beautiful Indian Ocean. A mention for Subu tours who are located just outside the hotel on the beach. We booked three trips with them ( river safari, turtle sanctuary and elephant safari) and they were excellent.

The only real problem for us was the air con which was pretty poor and obviously needs replacing. We did report it as soon as we arrived but in fairness to the staff there's not a lot they can do.

Great stay.. with delicious food.

Loved the location of the property with its sea facing unhindered view!!! The staff was very friendly and was always ready to help. Would definitely recommend anyone who is wanting to stay there , a small tip*stay there for more than 3 day.. so that you soak in the property.
