This home was a great place for a larger group. It is in a wonderful location and the views are stunning. The owner is very responsive. For example we asked about beach mats they had listed that we couldn’t find and within 30 minutes they had brought them to us. Two of the AC in the house were out, but they provided a solution that worked out for our group. Highly recommend this property!

We had a larger group and the property was perfect. The yards were great for the kids to kick around a ball. The manager was around every day so if there was anything we needed, it got taken care of immediately. Our only issue was that the showers would not stay warm. They would cycle between too hot and too cold. It was something they were not able to fix for our stay. I would definitely stay there again though, if i went with another large group.

My wife and I and our adult children and spouses loved our stay here (left all the grandchildren home with the in-laws). We rented the Plantation house and the adjacent 2-bedroom home as well. We spent 5 nights in Kauai at a very large 6,000 sq ft home before coming to our Hauula home and most of us enjoyed our stay here even more. It is homey and comfortable and quiet with a beautiful yard to enjoy. The pickleball court was a great added surprise. It is close to some great beaches and to the fabulous Polynesian Cultural Center. All 11 of us enjoyed gathering together on the plantation house lanai. Maddie was very attentive. Loved our stay here.

Our family of six adults had a wonderful time staying at this home on Oahu. The home was was comfortable, spacious and clean. The only downside was the distance to the activities we participated in, but we were aware of this. Options for eating out close to the house are primarily food trucks. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of this location versus Honolulu. We had a great time and appreciate the hospitality of this home.

This home is amazing! Our group of 8 enjoyed our entire time here. It is located in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We took daily 5 minute short walks down the road to the beach for sunrises. The home is very well equipped with anything you will need! They have beach chairs and towels as well. The location was perfect and it is a short 5 min drive to Polynesian Culture Center and about 15 min to Kualoa Ranch. There are food trucks and fruit stands near the house as well. The home is very clean and well organized. We hope to return to Oahu again soon and will be planning on staying here again!

We had a 2yr old so just had to watch him closely because of the stairs & stream in back but other than that it was perfect! I especially liked waking up to all the birds talking & singing. This is in the country so no traffic sounds. View of mountains was beautiful & beaches were spectacular & just a very short walk away. I would stay there again & recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the city.

The house is incredible, location is great if you want out of the big city light and sounds. The only thing that caught me by surprise is it’s a shared property (I may have missed that part when booking) luckily the other family that stayed on the property was friendly and quiet. Would definitely re book this.

We loved our stay here. We were able to enjoy time together without being right on top of each other. We enjoyed the nice deck and the back yard. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles. The large island was awesome for serving meals and plenty of storage. All appliances were great and worked perfectly. Wonderful property near PCC and BYU Hawaii
We stayed here for a week with kids and adults ranging in ages between 13 - 70. The house is an open style and has a ton of room for everyone. 2.5 baths makes a huge difference and the outside space is wonderful. It feels secluded but is very close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and BYU Hawaii. Everyone had their own space and we all came together for movie nights and dinners together. I absolutely recommend booking this property!

Adam's place is a great location on the east side of Oahu. Minutes away from the Polynesian cultural center and also the Kualoa Ranch. Directly across the street is a beautiful beach to swim. The house also has a pond in the back as well. Overall great place to stay and will stay again next time we visit! Thanks Adam!

Beautiful hidden gem, great mountain views
We absolutely loved the stunning mountain views from this house! The property was beautiful and so well kept. The layout of the house, the cleanliness, the amount of space, the provisions were all so perfect for our group of 7 (and easily could have handled a couple more). This house was amazing in so many ways- it is a perfect location for exploring the north shore towns and beaches without a long drive. We knew we didn't want to be at a resort or in crowded Waikiki, and we got a real feel for the island from this home base. Great local grocery nearby, local food and food trucks are not far either. We didn't want to leave. We will be back!

Out of the city
Awesome air conditioning! The 4th bedroom being outside of the main house was a little worrisome, especially with 2 twin beds intended for a child’s room. The one child in our group did not want to be so separated from his parents. So he slept on the futon in the living room, not ideal.
Great kitchen. It is in a fairly quiet neighborhood, nice surroundings, beautiful views. Very nice owners. Would recommend this for a family.

Where to start? Adam was extremely every step of the way and easy to communicate with when any questions or issues arose. The property is absolutely beautiful! Our group had two kids, and they loved waking up early to see the roads and snails, we even had a night heron visit us on the dock for our week-long stay! We hope to visit again soon! Thank you for such a wonderful, unforgettable stay.

Little slice of heaven
This home was perfect. My wife and I celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary with our six children here. The house is located off the beaten path and is quiet and secluded. There was a place for everyone to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well equiped. We cooked most of our meals. There were plenty of towels for showering and going to the beach. Adam was great to work with and accommodating. We will definitely stay again next time we visit the island.

Tropical Getaway
This is an absolutely beautiful property. We had a small intimate wedding and reception in the backyard and it was absolutely perfect. The yard needed no decorating, the landscaping was full, lush, tropical, and well maintained. The main house was very comfortable with the a/c for the hottest part of the afternoon. We booked both the main house and the guest house and it worked out well for the family. There was enough room for everyone to be together at times but not in each other's hair. The manager is very friendly and responsive to any questions. There are plenty of nearby trail heads for hiking and no shortage of beaches for lounging or water sports. We saw plenty of people pole fishing from the shore but didn't have time to take advantage of that. We made wonderful memories at this property and would stay again. Thank you so much for having us!

Beautiful and comfortable
We rented this property for our wedding and hope to come back someday! The grounds are GORGEOUS!!! And the house itself is very spacious and comfortable. It truly had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance you would ever need as well as lots of basics (pots/pans, dishes, cups, condiments, etc). The AC was necessary in order to get ready for our big day (because it has been such a hot and humid year so far) but otherwise, we just kept the doors and windows open for the lovely cross breeze. The wrap around lanai was So beautiful and really nice to enjoy our breakfast (and post-rehearsal dinner) on. Our guests made a point to comment on how beautiful this place really was.
When we had initially taken measurements to figure out tent size, the fruit trees in the backyard were really large and full and so we chose a tent size accordingly (20x40). By the day of our event, the trees had been trimmed back, though, and so the yard could have accommodated a bigger tent (a 30x60 would have fit), which would have been more comfortable. Other than that, this venue was absolutely perfect in every way! No complaints from us at all! We LOVED this property and hope to use it again for future events or even just as a staycation getaway with a bunch of friends/family.
Additionally, the property manager, Adam, was super helpful, accommodating to our needs, and very quick to respond our many many questions over the year of planning. Huge mahalo to Adam for being so on it!

Outstanding Property
We had a great time. House was very clean and safe. One of the nicest houses in the neighborhood. Comunications with the manager/owner was quick. The only bad things were the ground maintenance crew showed up early morning the first day and made a lot of noises and there is an bedroom off the porch that isn’t accessible from inside the house that had a fishy smell to it and doesn’t have a lock on it. . But overall a great experience. We would stay here again.

Hauula Hide Away
This property is very nicely groomed! The Lanai is the best so you can spend the start and the end of your day together. House has a few things that need repaired (recliner broken, hot water heater wasn’t working well.) Property manager was very responsive and are working on the issues. Neighborhood is quiet and away from traffic flow. One thing that Needs to be noted is that the bedroom with the two single beds has entrance from the Lanai and not the main house. Room cannot be locked from the outside when you leave and you must leave house unlocked for that room to have access to bathroom. This room also has a pretty musty smell. The rest of the house is nice with a roomy kitchen area.

Perfect Island Getaway
Our family of 9 enjoyed a week long stay at the Haaula Ohana House. The property was even better than expected with a fully equipped home near our favorite Oahu beaches and sights. Beds were super comfortable, the house was clean, beautifully decorated with island artwork, and Adam, the host, was available and helpful our entire stay. Boogie boards, sand toys, snorkel gear and a gas bbq were provided upon our request. Our 7 kids loved playing in the yard, watching fish and turtles in the stream behind the house, and nightly dinners on the wrap around porch were magical. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, spacious island home in excellent location with gorgeous mountain views
We loved this beautiful, spacious, well maintained home! Our host, Adam, was very responsive, ensuring that we had a wonderful vacation. With 4 bedrooms, including a large master suite, and 2 full plus 1 half bath, we had more than enough room. Being from a colder climate, we appreciated the separate AC units in each room which quickly cooled after a fun day in the sun. The full kitchen had everything we needed (plus a large center island). There was even an outdoor grill. We enjoyed many family dinners on the gorgeous wrap-around porch. And having a full laundry room was fantastic. Parking of our rental cars was easy as the home has a long driveway plus a parking area in front of the home. The home is nestled in a quiet local community with lush, well maintained landscaping, banana trees (they were loaded with fruit although not fully ripe yet), and a variety of tropical foliage including a most fragrant bush just outside the front door where hummingbirds visited each morning. We enjoyed the local feel of the community (not touristy at all) which gave us the real island experience. Everything was easily accessible from Kamehameha (Kam) Highway including a full grocery store, drug store, hardware store, etc. The location was perfect with an easy walk to the local beach park or a short car ride (5 - 15 min) to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Kualoa Ranch, the Laie Hawaii LDS Temple, BYU Hawaii, and the Mālaekahana State Recreation Area for awesome boogie boarding waves (our host provided boogie boards, beach towels/matts, and umbrella). We also enjoyed a beautiful car ride along the coast on Kam Highway to the hidden overlook at Pu'u o Mauka Heiau as well as the Banzai pipeline to watch the surfers. The local shrimp stands offered delicious steamed, garlic butter, or fried shrimp. Honolulu is only about an hour away, but we preferred exploring locally. Even though we had some rain, a quick ride north 10 or 15 minutes found the sunshine shining brightly. For future family travel to Hawaii, we most definitely plan to book this home again and highly recommend the home and our terrific host!
