- the owner (the daughter who speaks English) is really really nice and interesting (the all family is very nice, really)
- the bicycles available for rent to visit the island,
- the mekong boat tour she offers is interesting and nice to do,
- the food is very good,
- the scenery is nice, you can chill on hammocks
- check out was made at the last minute with the mother that doesn't speak English so a bit difficult. Maybe do it the day before with the daughter.

Everything was perfect. The family is adorable, the daughter speaks very well english, and she's ready to help you with bus tickets or other requests.
The rooms are fine, we have mosquito net, hairdryer, and hot water. AC depends on the rooms you chose, I think.
The terrace next to the river is wonderful to admire sunrise or read a book during the day.
The food of their restaurant is so good! It's the only option to eat in the evening on this island but it's worth it.
They organize, themselves, a boat tour, which is interesting and not touristic (only a few people from the guesthouse)
I really enjoyed this lovely island with coconut trees and kind Vietnamese people around.

Very authentic place, friendly hosts and they offered nice trips/bike rentals etc.

Die Lage auf der Insel, sehr einfach , ohne Komfort, sehr authentisch.

Awesome homestay! The host, Ms Thùy is incredibly helpful and interesting. I highly recommend doing the morning boat tour with her and her dad, to see the coconut candy factory around.
The food made by her mom is delicious. Especially the 7-dishes dinner.
Also you can rent bicycles and scooters.
The place is pretty remote. You have to take a Grabb to get to the ferry dock and then reach the island where the homestay is.
Which is good if you want to get out of the city.
Only downside is that there is few food options around.

It was a great stay. Whole family will make sure that you feel welcomed and cared. Food was great as well! Bikes are there so make sure to do an island loop. It’s a place I would definitely want to come back to stay longer.

This place was great! The family there is incredibly friendly and the owner/hostess speaks great english. The island itself was beautifu and they offer cool boat trips at the homestay as well. All the food is local, cooked on site and absolutely delicious. Loved it, highly recommend <3

Mr Năm Bình and Miss Thuy are great hosts. They greet us with a warm welcome and introduce us to their extended family and fellow guests. The room is clean and nicely made with wood, with nice sunlight going through the windows in the morning. Mr Năm Bình will take you on his boat and you can travel the river for an hour and more at a reasonable price. In the morning, cycling around the island is a heavenly experience because the road is filled with beautiful tropical scenes: flowers, trees, and animals exist in peace and are taken care of by the locals.
The power goes off in the morning which I think is not uncommon in the countryside, it isn't that bad because if you're not worried about heat you can just go out and you don't really need the fan anyway.

Perfect Homestay, Local experience and good prices. They make you feel like family. Daughter speaks perfect english. We did a boat tours with her and her Father, which was lot of fun. And we also did a nice sunset tour. The food the mother cooked for us for dinner, was one of the best meals we had in vietnam. Also really nice breakfast. Our room had AC and was very comfortable, but we spent most of our time relaxing at the riverfront on hammocks and deck chairs. You can see fireflays in the evening. And drink ricewine with the family. And also do karaoke if you enjoy it.
During the day, they have bikes you can borrow to explore the island.

My recent stay at Nam Binh Homestay was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, the warm and friendly family made me feel like part of their own. The room was not just clean; it was a haven of comfort and attention to detail.
The homestay's riverside location added to its charm, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. But what truly sets this place apart is its exceptional host family—Uncle Binh, Mrs. Khuya, Thuy, Kien, and my newfound friends, Ngoc and Duc. They made me feel like I'd found a second home.
I can't wait to reunite with this incredible group of people and create more beautiful memories. Nam Binh Homestay, you've left an indelible mark on my heart.
I drank too much when staying here. :(

We loved our stay here! Thủy is an amazing host, her family is so kind and the food they cook is absolutely delicious. Beautiful view of the river and a great boat and bike tour led by Thủy. Our air conditioned room was lovely and we had a great time.

Thuy and her Family are really friendly and helpful!
15 minutes after I arrived her Father invited me to join him on the table with his Friends to have some happy water. It was an amazing experience, that we had again on the second night also involving all the other gasts.
(No worries about the amount. We shared more than one bottle and on the next day I was feeling good - so no hangover at all!)
But since you are there, and in case you are afraid of a hangover, enjoy the best coconuts you'll ever have in your life!
Besides that, They provide you everything you need and also help you to plan you trip in the region.
Don't miss the boat trip with her and her father!
The room has its flair.
I really loved the window.
The location itself is really beautiful!
I would highly recommend to sit there close to the River and watch the Moon rise. I was lucky to see lots of fire flies in the day of the full moon.
Next time I would go for a room with AC.
But the experience was more genuine with a fan, so it was fine though.

It is located in an island, the owners are a very nice, hardworking and welcoming family. You see mainly the local culture around you which is good

The view on the river and the food cooked by Mum was exceptional .Staff were always attentive. I really enjoyed my relaxing stay here

My boyfriend and I stayed in this rural homestay on a small island for two nights and could not have been happier.
It has everything it needs to have and more.
A very friendly Family, clean room with AC, bikes to rent, a simple breakfast included, delicious dinner on request and a very interesting and insightful boattour.
Prices are fair and we can highly recommend staying here for two nights.
Wi-fi wasn’t reachable in the room but worked outside on the terrace so really not a problem what so ever.

A wonderfull quiet place along the river. The family is very nice and make you feel at home.

the most amazing stay I have ever had! the location is something from a movie and the most beautiful family living there.
I wish I was there longer

I have stayed here 3 times. Excellent friendly people and very relaxing to sit at the river.

A wonderful little homestay with a happy, kind family.
Host:
The daughter speaks good English and was able to advise us on transport options. She told
us there were no more busses running from Ben Tre to Vinh Long and suggested we could possibly try going to Tra Vinh and looking for busses there (although we ended up needing to take a private car from Tra vinh to vinh long as there weren’t any busses from there, but that’s alright).
She also gave us the helpful advice that the floating markets in Can Tho aren’t worth it as there are only 4-5 boats left
Atmosphere:
Very homely and relaxing. Can enjoy sipping beer by the water, go on bike rides on the island or ride to the bigger island. An authentic Vietnamese experience.
Friendly dogs and rooster on property.
Room:
Some rooms equiped with air con. Had a mosquito net. Clean.
Food:
Requested for dinner - the Mum cooked for us -70,000 dong per person. Fish and rice dish, veges, pumpkin and meat soup. Was very tasty though a little sweet.
Breakfast - inclusive, baguette and eggs with coffee/tea.
Facilities:
Bikes for hire - 30,000 dong. Boat tours.
Transport to Ben Tre:
Ferry that runs back and forth - SƠN PHÚ
https://maps.app.goo.gl/rfHGMBgHNmxp7CJv6?g_st=ic
Costs 1000 dong to cross, costs more if crossing with a motorbike (something like 4000 dong). It’s hard to find transport into Ben Tre town from the Ben Tre side. It’s probably best to have a taxi or motorbike taxi booked in advance as grab isn’t always reliable. it’s about a 15 min drive into Ben Tre town - e.g. to see the night markets.
Ferry we were told stops working at 9pm, though I think it runs for as long as there is demand.
Be careful when booking the rooms as some have aircon (which is very much needed in the heat) and some don’t. There was initially a mix up with the room we had requested but was quickly resolved.

Thuy and her family are very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and well fed. This water front property is quite remote and a beautiful location for viewing the sunset.
The river floods the homestay at high tide everyday making it challenging to leave the property without treading through water. Not the family’s fault at all, just something to note as a guest.
4.6
great accommodation on a small river island (ferry runs every few min, 5000 only)the bungalow, made of local coconut wood was clean and comfortable. the host family is very lovely and runs this place with passion. best experience to get into the local life. thanks :)
4.6
This is a wonderful little homestay which is in a beautiful location and excellent value for money. The family were very accommodating and even offered us a boat trip around the Mekong at a cheaper rate than any nearby local tour companies. A lovely relaxing break from our hectic touring schedule!
The room is what you pay for, and though the homestay is located in a beautiful and relatively remote neighbourhood (out on an island in the river), the area can get quite noisy through the night due to the local roosters!
4.6
Everything, I'm so grateful for the good comments of the fellow travelers before. This place is an absolute gem! The rooms are ok, but you basically just sleep there. They have a huge outdoor are with chairs, hammocks, even outdoor beds, etc. The family is so friendly and you can do bycicle trips and basically Island hopping. It's a peaceful place.
4.6
Hosts were great, felt like we were part of the family! Atmosphere, food as well as the boat tour was awesome and was much more memorable than any organized activities
