Wonderful little cottage in the centre of Whitby
Great value for money, lovely location, not very far from anything that's going on. A bunch of services/shops nearby.
Clean, cute little property. I would definitely visit again.

Lovely Cottage
Stayed for 3 nights. The location is excellent, has everything in the cottage that I needed. We had fish and chips on the first night was great to see salt and vinegar already at the property. I was a bit worried about the parking situation but I needn’t have been, it was easy to unload the car then drive and park at the main car park. Our first time in Whitby-we will def return, thought it was fab.

Cockle cottage
Position of cottage is excellent
The access yard is off putting dirty bins cigarette ends
Cottage was not cleaned to extra covid requirements
The bed linen was very tired i.e not crisp cotton sheets
Wardrobe in twin room doors do not work a mixed selection of broken hangers do not look good
Off putting to locate the fridge in a cupboard with mops and brushes
Kitchen was not well equipped with exposed pipes under boiler
Just a bit of attention to detail would alter our opinion of Cockle cottage
The character and position in beautiful Whitby of Cockle cottage was spoiled by these points

Old Fishermans Cottage
The owners have done a really good job on updating this old cottage. It's on three floors with a very narrow steep staircase,so it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.Nice compact shower with toilet and washbasin on 1st.floor ,.The twin bedded room is on this floor.A very nice and bright room.2nd floor has just a double bedroom with TV and wash basin. The bed is very comfy. There are ,of course,Wardrobes ,bedside tables ecs. Fridge toaster, kettle,TV,central heating also an imitation log burning stove, electric,.Access is from one of the main shopping streets through a gate and up some 10? steps, there are other properties in the same yard. There are no views, from the property, but you only sleep there,so does it matter? We enjoyed our week there. We would recommend it,but we do not think it is suitable for people with walking problems.Oh! we are both in our 70's.

Lovely stay in a super little cottage
Arrived in Whitby for a few days with our granddaughter. Had a lovely time both in Whitby and in Cockle Cottage. Our granddaughter was very taken with the cottage and loved spending time there. The cottage was clean, tidy and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for this cosy Fishermans cottage
This lovely refurbished fishermans cottage is set in the heart of Whitby. Within easy walking distance to all amenities and local tourist attractions.
The property is warm and perfectly maintained. Set on three levels the property has modern facilities and excellent for a family of four or two couples. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Whitby and in particular this lovely accommodation. Close to restaurants, pubs, shops and the harbour. You will not be disappointed with this well appointed accommodation.

Cockle Cottage in Whitby
The cottage is delightful. We were cozy even on cold mornings. A peaceful retreat from our busy days walking. Whitby is a lovely seaside town but don't miss the walk to Robin Hoods Bay. ( You can bus back)
There is a brewery up by the Abbey worth a visit also.
The cottage is fully furnished except for towels. We plan to return.

Enjoy my stay a cockle cottage and the weather was good all week
Got to cockle cottage on the 3rd of obt and got setteled in abov 05.30 a cockral started and went on for an hour, this was every morning. Then you would get the bin men at 06.30 ish to remove rubbish from M&Co store, and on the steps to the cottage there is fag buts in a pot and black ash along the step which you have to step over (is this a desegnated smoking place by M&Co) !!!!!!!
But i made the most of my stay at cockle cottage

Charming Cottage within Whitbys Maze of street's.
Just off a main shopping street, not far from the swing bridge and everything Whitby has to offer lies this charming cottage. These cottages are hidden jems within Whitbys bustling resort. Cockle cottage was very welcoming and well equipped, clean and everything you would expect from a sea side cottage.( complete with seagulls , some that habit on a roof adjacent to the attic bedroom) this is by no means meant as a negative as it was quite amusing watching them from the bedroom with their babies. The you tube video does not do this cottage justice as the bathroom for instance has since been updated. Check out parking before you set off, we didn't as we were to be left a parking permit on arrival but it had been overlooked, so had to find a nearby car park and pay for the weekend.( you can only unload your car after 4pm and load up before 10 am near the cottage)Car parks are plentiful and nearby free after 6pm until 9 am so set your alarm for 9 am to pay until 6 then same again the next day ( worked out £6.50 per day) just glad we weren't staying for a week. We had a lovely stay with our 4 year old who loved the place, ( safety gate at the top of the stairs was welcoming ) you can also bolt the door to the attic room open should you want to listen out for your children in the night who's room is 1 flight of stairs below.
Our only problem was a neighbour from a cottage at the back of the property
( we could just see their small conservatory, through ivy and bushes from
our attic bedroom ) we thought at first it was a pub as the extremely loud heavy metal music went on untill 1am, but it didnt stop there, it switched to an extremely loud Tv documentary about the jews, we could hear every word until about 2 am when we must have passed out with exhaustion and headache .Luckily our son was at the other side of the cottage and on a lower level. This obviously was out of the owners control and reckon we were incredoubly unlucky that weekend, but laugh about it now. lovely place , cafes , shops and boat rides a stones throw away :)
