Great hosts, super accommodating, nice place. It’s not clear from the listing, but the hosts live there. I probably would not have booked there had I of known that out of respect, my friends and I tend to have spirted conversations into the evening. I would absolutely book there with my family.

What a lovely house in a very quiet location (except for lots of birds), close to great restaurants and
Rte 89. We had everything we needed. My wife was able to get out for her morning run.
We would most definitely use the apartment again and recommend it without question!

Jim was very kind showing us his property. We enjoyed the scenery!

Very nice appointed Vrbo, in a great location close to mountains and downtown area with great bars and restaurants.
Other than another group of renters occupying “our” part of the home when we got there we easily sorted it out by approaching and communicating with the renters. Jim was unavailable at time of this confusion (Friday at 9pm) as the phone number left went straight to a voicemail. There is one door code to enter essentially 2 “rental” units. Which caused the confusion between the groups.

Our Christmas weekend at the Terraces was perfect! Jim and Kathi were way more than “superhosts” as they went above and beyond to make our holiday festive! They provided a Christmas tree, a bottle of wine and homemade candy, and invited us for drinks our first evening there. The accommodations were much larger and cozier than the pictures depict. There was plenty of wood for the woodstove and all the amenities you could want or need (kitchen utensils, towels, games, etc.). The bed and couches were very comfortable, and the entire home immaculate. We enjoyed walking the trails on the property every day. It’s a very short drive (about 5 minutes) to historic downtown Waterbury with lots of restaurants and shops. Waitsfield was about 15 minutes away. No doubt we will be staying in the Terraces again and again!

The owners were great and communicated checkin process and helpful with having recommendations.
The pictures online don’t show how great the place is with lots of sunlight and fully stocked place. Definitely will be back.

This was a perfect peaceful getaway. The property was lovely and the owners were so kind and welcoming. We are already planning to stay at their other properties. Would absolutely come here again!

Jim was a wonderful and gracious host. He greeted us on check-in and showed us around and was readily available to answer questions. Property was great and perfect sized for our family of 5. Loved the towel warmer in the master bath. Only thing I didn't realize is that the two apartments aren't side-by-side, but the upstairs apartments living room is over the master, which was hard on Dad who is a light sleeper when they walked around. Garage is standard 20x20 where the charger is so if you have a larger vehicle it might not fit in with door closed. We had to take the bike hitch off our Tesla Y. Otherwise great property and will likely be back. Great easily location. First 25 ft of road were a little intimidating, but rest of it was very well maintained. Thanks so much Jim!

Good experience quite and perfect for our group of 5.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our vehicle got stuck on the icy hill leading up to the property on our way there, and Jim came down to assist us. He was kind and jovial, keeping the mood cheerful and my children giggling as he got our vehicle moving. The property itself was clean and beautiful, and very spacious for our family of 7. They had a variety of games, books and seasonal activities available for our enjoyment. We would definitely recommend staying here, and look forward to returning in the future.

Girls Trip
Such a cute place! So convenient to the highway, shopping, restaurants, and activities. Plenty of space for four women who don't pack lightly. Adequate kitchen supplies to cook several meals. We apprciated the "no shoes inside" rule (=clean), as well as access to the washer/dryer and large refrigerator. The owners communicate well and even stopped by to welcome us. They left us a bottle of wine and personalized syrup to help us celebrate our 50th birthdays. Would definitely book again!

Close to town and slopes
Jim was super responsive and made us comfortable throughout the stay. We had a snow storm in the area and it was hard for us to get food. Jim helped us out with food supplies and muffins for breakfast.
Stay was perfect! About 30-40 mins from the slopes, close to restaurants and bars and can easily house 4-5 people.

Great Place to Stay!
We had a lovely time staying at The Terraces. We were visiting friends in Waterbury- 5 minutes away and did day trips to Burlington, Stowe, and Barre. It is a great location for quiet woods with close proximity to the neighboring towns. We had plenty of space to spread out with 3 adults and 1 4yo. Amenities were ample and hosts were kind and very accommodating, even leaving us a bottle of wine upon arrival.

Cozy cabin!
We had such a great time staying at the Crossett Hill Lodge. Jim and Kathi were wonderful hosts, and the Terraces unit where we stayed was so cozy. Well appointed, spacious and clean, and with that wonderful cabin feel. It was lovely to wake up in the morning and see the snow-covered mountain through the large window wall, and at night we lit the wood stove and played games with our kids. The kids loved sled riding down the hill and making a snow man in the yard — our only regret is that we didn’t have time to stay longer! We will be back next winter for sure.

Hidden gem tucked away in the woods but close to everything
The house is truly a gem and is looks much better than in the pictures. It's roomy, cozy, has everything you'll need. The property is split into two units, the loft and the terrace. We stayed in the bottom terrace in June, while the lovely owners were in the loft, and hardly heard any noise from them. The place stayed quite cool despite weather in the 90s. The owners were very responsive (replaced a shower rod in a few hours), gave great recommendations and are just the most interesting and genuinely lovely people you'd meet. The closest towns to get supplies and food are 10-15 minutes away, Waterbury and Waitsfield. Burlington (lake-side, biking trails, restaurants) is 30 minutes, while Stowe (covered bridges, biking trails, restaurants, breweries, Von Trapp) is 20 minutes away. It's a great location if you were looking to be in the middle of the said towns. Would recommend this property and you should ask of the owner's other properties in Elmore and France (near Bordeaux).

The Terraces
Very nice home nestled in the woods. Perfect winter stay with plenty of room, wood burning stove and snow shoes, tubes for sledding and cross country skis all for our use. The owners were so nice and they gave us some maple syrup they harvested on their property. Wonderful weekend!

Terrace Unit Weekend Stay
Our group of 4 rented the cabin unit for a ski weekend. The location was great. It was close to Stowe, Burlington and ski mountains. The cabin itself was clean and cozy with wall and bathroom heaters and a wood stove. The owners were home in the top (separate) unit and were very friendly. Overall a great stay.

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids 4yo and 10yo) spent 4 nights over New Years at Kathi and Jim’s cabin. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, maple syrup and a warm, clean lodge. The living area has a leather love seat, 2 leather armchairs, a rocking chair and a futon, with plenty of space to walk around or sit in front of the wood stove. The upper dining area has a round table, another folded table that can be extended and we also had a small table with 2 chairs where our 4 yo set up her play area. There are several games and books, a dart board, flat screen TV with Apple TV and cable. Internet connection was great. Good cell reception with Verizon, poor reception with TMobile. Kitchenette was well equipped with plates, mugs, glasses, silverware, pans and pots. Master bedroom has a queen size bed, comfortable with clean sheets ( we had our own as well due to Covid, but it was nice to know the base is clean). Bathrooms are clean and good size. The bedroom with bunk beds has sliding doors to the patio. We were lucky to have snow while we were there, so mornings were especially pretty with red squirrels visiting us while we were having coffee. Our hosts generously shared their winter gear with us. We are not skiers, but the kids enjoyed trying the skies and snowshoes. We sled a bit in the back of the house and strolled in the backyard woods. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and the kids enjoyed the swing and tree house. We had a relaxing, lovely time and we highly recommend Kathi and Jim as wonderful hosts in a beautiful cabin.

Close to Stowe and Waterbury. The owners lent us skis, snowshoes and other items. More like staying with family than strangers. Even had us up for a nightcap.

Winter Ski/family getaway
Oh my we loved it! We had such a great time. Your home is beautiful, so well planned, decorated and organized. We took in some local dining at Blue Stone, walked the backyard trail and went into Burlington too for Friday evening of dinner and entertainment, then out to skiing Mt Ellen and Mt Lincoln on Sat. & Sun. The location is great, very convenient to the highway and attractions. We will definitely return and recommend Crossett Hill Lodge to our friends and family! Karen &Tim Fuller Columbus Ohio 2/2016

This property was near all our favorite restaurants and bars/breweries. We enjoyed walking on the trails during the day and star-gazing at night. The architecture of the building was spectacular and Jim and Kathi were such wonderful people. We would definately return.

Summer Weekend in VT
This newly renovated home is spacious, warm and inviting. The view from the wall of windows is spectacular! We loved the spiral staircase leading to the loft. Located off the beaten path, yet only a short drive to downtown Waterbury's great restaurants. Enjoyed a great hike on Camel's Hump. We look forward to a return visit this winter to check out the many nearby ski areas.

Terrific Accomodations!
I liked how open the place was. You could see everyone in the living room from the upper level kitchen and dining area. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen
was brand new. Nice views of the mountains.
