Lovely place with unique atmosphere. The host has made us feel at home!
2nd floor has been renovated recently, room was really nice and comfortable. Breakfast is not too complex, but is really tasty and fresh. We loved the home made cake.
Despite our early departure, the host thoughtfully prepared a cake for us to enjoy before we left ❤️

I loved the balcony, looking over a leafy suburban street, but the best bit is the roof top terrace which has a view over the city, I worked from up here on my laptop. I also loved the home cooked breakfasts from grandma. She was very helpful and when I wanted to stay longer and she had no availability then she called around locally looking for rooms. The location is a 3 minute 'Yandex' ride [like Uber] to a range of cool cafes that served up a wide range of food and great to work on the laptop. I love the suburban vibe where you experience the real Georgian people rather then the tourist trap of old town.
a small thing Grandma doesn't speak english do ensure you have Google translator downloaded with Russian language. I cant think of anything else.

The host was quite helpful.
The breakfast was nice - with lots of Georgian dishes.
The location is in the centre.
There is a terrace with nice view.
The interior of the living room is super nice!!
One room was super dirty! Especially bathroom… the mirror was old and scratched, bath with super dirty floor that you only can take a shower in slippers. Bedclothes are old, with spools and spots.
Except for the dirt, one more unpleasant thing was parking - we were booking a place with private one and when we arrived the host told us that we can’t use it even though we asked couple of times.
The host was for some reason not aware that we are travelling with child (5 yo), even though we put all the information to booking - and was disappointed by this fact (started to tell us that she is not prepared for this and she doesn’t have any special facilities (even though we didn’t need them)).
The last but not least - you can only enter a property by calling the door bell that make it not convenient during late hours (because for sure none of us wanted to disturb the lady but we either didn’t have keys)

If you're looking for a classic hotel or super comfort, this is not what you'll find.
Imagine you are going to your caring grandmother's house, that's what awaits you there.
A quiet, homey atmosphere. Traditional breakfasts, cooked by Nata to your individual desires.
In one of the reviews I saw a mention of Narnia, yes, that is a very accurate comparison)), a magical old interior.
Picturesque hills with hiking trails five minutes from the hotel.
There are some minor household shortcomings, such as the state of the door handles and the bathroom, but this, however, does not spoil the overall impression.
Hilly terrain, but this can not be called a disadvantage, just take into account this feature.

Great location, very close to Old Town. Nata is a great host, who cooks delicious breakfasts taking into account your food preferences. When you come here, you don't feel in hotel, you feel like a guest in a friendly family.

The host (Nata) is very friendly and welcoming. Everything is very old, with an interesting interrior, which makes it feel like you're living in a museum. Breakfast in the morning was good. The room has a small desk, so I could work on a laptop during the day. The bathroom is large, with a giant bath, although since it didn't have a plug it could only be used as a shower.
My room was far from the router on the second floor, so connection was spotty at times, but managable overall. Everything being old adds to the charm, although there are some small things that could benefit from maintenance.

Nada is the sweetest host you can imagine :) she is caring, focused on guest and always smiling :)
The place is amazing, it has nice terrace on the top floor with a view on Tbilisi, dining room has exceptional style and it's beautifully furnished - you'll eat your breakfast there. Btw, breakfast is delicious, fresh local dishes prepared by Nada are amazing :) and always a homemade cake was served for breakfast too <3
Room is spacious, clean and everything you need is there. What is also worth to mention is free tea/coffee whenever you want, so you can relax on the roof terrace with a hot tea after the long day of sightseeing :)
Hotel location is also good - close to metro station. Whenever we are back to Tbilisi we will visit Nada's place again :) Thank you Nada! <3

Not to be compared with good network hotels, but it was exception for its price.
The hotel is small, and the lady in the hotel is the manager, the owner, and the cook, all in one. The hotel is called "Hotel Home" for a reason: it's like you are staying at your relatives in Georgia but with your private room and the shower (with a common sitting room).
My room had a balcony, and there's also a terrace on the top floor.
Though compact, the table was bigger than in some expensive hotels, so I was quite comfortable with my laptop plus with my second portable display I travel with for work. The last hotel I stayed was Marri*tt, and it had a much less laptop-friendly table I would say.
The breakfast is traditional Georgian; the owner takes pride in cooking something authentic and different every day, not your standard European/Arabic/Mediterranean food, and it's like your Georgian mother is cooking for you. It's not a buffet. If you prefer buffet or something generic and neutral like porridge or scrambled eggs, consider staying at a network hotel (yes, they are much more expensive) or talk to the lady first to make sure she can cook it for you as a special service.
Consider staying at this place if you like to make friends with your hosts and you are ready to respect them (and be respected in return). If you want to be serviced (there's nothing wrong with that), consider a good network hotel instead.
Water from the cooler and tea are normally available in the sitting room 24/7, free or charge.
They had shampoo and soap but shower gel was temporary unavailable. The price for the room was really nice so I didn't mind. The water was very soft so I didn't have issues with my skin while using the soap instead of the gel. Or consider bringing the gel you like with you (or buying in a local shop). It's a good advice in general because the amenities in inexpensive hotels are usually very basic anyway, not much better than the soap.

Love the location, the decor is very cute, tasty breakfast, a lovely woman who runs it, huge bathroom.
Initially our bathroom was a bit smelly, but the owner had this fixed as soon as we told her about it.

The only good things were that the rooms are very clean, the top deck patio is nice to hang out on, and the breakfast is excellent.
I've travelled to 70+ countries and this is one of the most disappointing and stressful stays I can remember. I had so many issues with the staff from the very beginning, starting with them trying to suddenly charge me an extra 50% of the room fee because I was arriving at night (of course this was after the room + price were confirmed). The lady who works there doesn't speak a single word of English, which can make things a challenge if you're trying to get assistance with anything or sort out an issue. Then, the water went out which I now understand is not their fault, but since I wasn't even able to take a shower or flush a toilet it became a health and sanitary issue, so I planned on checking out and finding another hotel. The staff completely lost it and started yelling and screaming and threatening that I'd have to pay for all of the remaining nights, even though they weren't able to provide the most basic services.
There is also a dog that barks ALL THE TIME so it is definitely not a quiet relaxing place, and I found the location very out of the way- taxi drivers always had a hard time finding it, and it's too far from the main attractions to walk. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the shower head was broken so I had to sit down on the floor to use it.
When I went to pay, they make you pay in cash yet don't have any change available and expected me to go out in the middle of the night and try to find some change. This also happened to another girl staying there who was trying to check out at the same time as me. I could not get out of that hotel fast enough, seriously the worst stay ever.

Everything was great, the landlady is super nice and the breakfast was the best we had in Georgia. It's located on a hill so you have to climb a bit but it's not far from the metro station. And you can enjoy a view from the terrace.
