The swimming pool - should be open longwr
Breakfast was terrible - why bother! 0/10
The rooms are cramped - looked much better online.
Air-conditioning broke the second day and stayed out for a week almost. It came back on to go out again. Lost power several times including the early morning we were leaving

La ubicación, areas comunes, alberca, desayuno muy completo, terraza muy comoda, el servicio de café y agua gratis.
Un poco la atención de los chef, internet no estable.

Nothing really. The building was sort of nice.
Room didn’t have windows and was super old. Toilet was very old and sort of sketchy.
4.4
Great location, friendly, great breakfast.

lovely quiet hotel with very clean rooms and very comfortable beds. good wifi, shampoo etc… everything we needed was provided.
it’s about 2 blocks outside the main area of restaurants and attractions- not a long walk but the back and forth added up. The reasonable price more than compensated for a slightly longer walk though and the quiet nights were appreciated!

The pool area was lovely, and the rooms were nice and clean too. Very good value for money.
To be honest, the staff weren’t amazing. They were friendly enough but didn’t go above and beyond. We asked to check in early and they just said no and didn’t even try to accommodate. We also needed to have an early breakfast as we were doing a tour (booked through the hotel) which meant we only had 15 minutes to eat breakfast. The breakfast staff were rude and were late opening up breakfast. I wasn’t able to order until 5 mins before we were being picked up. No apology or anything, we’re just told to wait.

Helpful and friendly staff.
Lovely breakfast.
Walking distance to historic buildings, bars and restaurants.
Nice little swimming pool to cool down in.
The noise from people coming up and down the stairs (room was near the stair well) as the floors are tiled not carpeted.

Location was great! walking to main area/market/attractions easy. Short cab ride to ruins from main square. Excellent walled in lot for parking rental car. Nestled away from city noise with lovely courtyard/pool to relax after sightseeing. Excellent staff available at front desk (or by intercom /phone call when arriving to let us in) lovely breakfast terrace with daily hot breakfast. comfortable spacious enough room. Quaint and characteristic building. Very Clean bathroom. I’m comparison to some other other places I have stayed in Mexico, reasonably comfortable beds/pillows. Easy to meet and chat with others in the pool area but also quiet and restful environment.
As I had read on the reviews before our stay, we had a ground floor room which meant we could hear chairs moving /people walking in the room above. We closed the bathroom door at night which reduced some sounds. This was not enough to deter me from enjoying our 4 night stay. One can expect that an older character building would be that way and it was not a long, consistent disruptive experience. Don’t stay here if you want the perfection of modern, “you could be in any North American city hotel” experience.

Loved the beautiful garden and pool area! Breakfast (free) was good and front desk staff very helpful!

the property is in a traditional building, filled with antiques and Mexican crafts. it is a beautiful and spacious environment. the pool and garden area is lovely. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful. The generous and delicious Breakfast is served daily and prepared to order. it is a wonderful way to start the day

Beautiful property with lovely indoor and outdoor courtyards. Spacious and clean room (we opted for the king bungalow with pool view). Decent breakfast on a nice terrace overlooking the pool. Perfect location in the city center to walk everywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Minor point, but it would be nice if the filtered water dispenser was outside of the kitchen for 24/7 access.
4.4
Nice property, breakfast included and you can request whatever you would like to be prepared, ideally in Spanish. Friendly staff, convenient quiet location
At times the WiFi was inconsistent

really lovely. needed the pool during the hot afternoons. the street has everything within a few blocks.
lots of stairs. no elevator.
4.4
super cute hotel with nice swimming pool
breakfast was nice, each day 2 new dishes you can chose from
very centrally located and very quiet traffic wise. other streets very close by were extremely busy with traffic
we charged a surcost because we arrived between 11 and 12 at night. I know it’s stated in their policy but our bus got delayed so we were expecting a bit more understanding
beds are small, too soft and uncomfortable

Great Place, Would Recommend, Very clean and well maintained, good breakfast included, quiet safe location, great helpful staff, nice pool and pool area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean.
I would have preferred a room with a window facing outside, not into the closed courtyard.

Probably it will be necessary to have handrails in the shower.

From the moment we arrived with a welcome, relaxation, free coffee and tea, and a friendly orientation, we were at ease and ready to relax as well as explore the city. The pool was nice, the rooms comfortable, the shower hot, and the breakfast wonderful. At first the distance seemed daunting but it was a close walk to all locations and away enough for quiet and peace. The more residential feel also provided some lower-key options and tasty food. The fridge was a great addition. We would stay again.
The first welcome via email and 'rules' seemed off-putting, but we see why they do so. Our first impression of rule-oriented and less friendly was gone the minute we arrived. The staff are all great! The comfort is available and extended beyond just a nice room and pool.

Staff was fantastic
Pillows on the bed were terrible

Fantastic hotel, still as wonderful as when we first visited in 2018. The only change now is that breakfast is served on the beautiful sun terrace overlooking the pool. Friendly staff, beautiful traditional decor.
Only slight niggle is that the beds are too soft and the cleaners serviced our room very late each day, coming back after a busy day sightseeing and we felt we had to keep out of the way as they hadn't got to our room yet.

Overall the staff was attentive and helpful.Great hot water and pressure in the shower and appreciated having a mini-split in the room to cool down. I especially want to compliment Jessica for her help during our stay!! Very helpful! Breakfast was good and a nice amenity. Location was decent - .5 miles from Centro and an easy walk for us to restaurants and shopping. Hotel was very quiet.
The bed was rock hard, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. We appreciated the ability to make coffee in our room, but there were NO mugs. I grabbed a few from the dining room, but they were removed from the room when it was serviced...Wi-fi was out when we checked in - was spotty the rest of our stay.

Friendly staff. Beautiful building.
Thought the breakfast was a bit basic for the price of the Room.

A beautiful family "casa" with a lovely courtyard, gardens, pool! Just a unique, very Oaxacan place. Helpful staff.
Perhaps have some lunch and dinner options to be able to eat at the hotel?
