About this apartment rental
This apartment on Parque Santiago 1 is a great choice if you are looking for a smart flat with a pool, by the beach, short walk to shops, restaurants and bars and with easy access to the airport (20 minutes in a taxi). The apartment is bright and airy, well-maintained with comfortable furniture and beds (one double bed, two single beds), well-equipped kitchen and TV with UK channels. While the complex is centrally located, it is far enough away from the vibrant nightlife to remain quiet at night. It is popular with couples and families with young children. There is a small supermarket and bar/cafe on site.
The apartment is spread over two floors with kitchen and open plan dining and living space downstairs with double doors to the balcony which has a table and four chairs.
Balcony is pleasantly shady for most of the year. Sun hits the balcony from 11am to 2pm during the summer months (from April to September). It's a great spot for lunch or evening drinks with its view of the pool below you and Mount Teide up and ahead of you. The apartment has free wi-fi.
The kitchen is small with a hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster, toasted sandwich-maker, saucepans, frying pan, plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery and kitchen utensils. It has everything you need to make a light supper and eat in.
The dining table has four sturdy wooden chairs.
Living room has a comfortable sofa and an armchair and both of these can fold out to make two beds. The TV has UK channels (BBC1, BBC2, BBC News, ITV channels, Channel 4, Channel 5 and for children CBeebies and CBBC). Look in the cupboard under the stairs for beach kit and the ironing board.
Upstairs you'll find the main bedroom with a double bed and lots of storage space. Off the main bedroom is a small, half-sized room with two single beds and sloping ceilings. It is suitable for one adult or two children aged 3-12 years. Families with older children can use the sofa bed in the living room but you must tell us this when you book. We will only make up enough beds for the number of people you tell us are coming.
To reach the bathroom, the occupant of the small bedroom (or the sofa bed) must cross the large bedroom. This apartment is not recommended for groups of four adults.
The newly fitted bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and basin with mirror. The bathroom is also off the main bedroom.
Tiled floors throughout to keep you cool in the hot sunny weather.
The complex has one large pool (heated in the winter months) and a paddling pool for the under-5s. You can use the pool for swimming (free) or you can rent sun loungers to sit by the pool, with drinks and ice creams readily available from the poolside cafe. The cafe does good breakfasts and lunches too.
Gardens around the complex are extremely well tended with exotic flowers and tropical plants. The pool and entire pool area has been re-tiled and landscaped recently.
Iron and ironing board in cupboard under the stairs. You can hang wet towels and swimming things on the drying rack on the balcony.
All bed linen and bath towels are provided. There is a hairdryer.
Parque Santiago 1 is a quiet complex, largely occupied by British people who have retired in Tenerife and appreciate an early night. A security guard patrols the complex at night to ensure that it remains calm and restful. It is not the ideal place for partying 20somethings. If you are lucky enough to be 20something, you will find a much better party elsewhere in the resort.

Comfy apartment in ideal location , swimming pool is wonderful.
Disappointed we didn't get a linen change as promised and only got towels changed after chasing them up.
We were allowed an early check in so this may be why the apartment wasn't cleaned to the standard expected.

Nicely appointed apartment in central area of Las Americas.
Set in lovely complex with heated pool and close of all amenities and beach.
Nice views of pool and sea from balcony but sadly no sun reaches balcony in Winter months.

Lovely complex, apartment adequate but spare bedroom like a dungeon, no window or plug points for a lamp.
A loo roll would have been nice until you could get to the shops and no shower curtain so had to use towels on the floor. Minor things but important for travellers.
Couldn’t get any Wi-Fi without using roaming.
Very close to beach and central for bars/ restaurants.
No lift.

We were lucky to be back in our favourite holiday destination for winter warmth. We found Paula’s apartment in Santiago 2 online through Vrbo. It was a second and top floor duplex no lift but I believe one is due to be built. The duplex was comfortable and in a good position on the shady side of the complex. This was a bonus for us as it was hotter than usual and at night a breeze blew through the bedroom. We eat out in the evening and so the lack of an oven wasn’t a problem. You have to pay for sun beds but we are happy to do this as they only open the pool area at 9 am and so there isn’t the bum fight as in most hotels. The pool gardens and other ares are immaculateThere is also a cafe with nice staff. All I all another superb holiday in Tenerife.

We stayed for 10 days.
Great location - you don't need a car - everything is within walking distance.
We especially want to say about the pool - it turned out to be warm even in summer - although there were a lot of people in it - but there is enough space for everyone - it is quite large.

Excellent apartment in a fantastic location, close to all amenities. Great communication from the owner, who was understanding when we had to cancel our original booking for Xmas 2020 and move it to Feb 22. Fabulous pool and great pool bar serving snacks and drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely large apartment. Would definitely use again if I had to say one thing is that it could do with a oven of some kind, as you can't cook everything on a hob or microwave. But apart from that it had ample of other cooking facilities 😁

Centrally located but quiet apartment.
Great apartment in a quiet location, but close to everything that you could want. Many bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets close by. Well equipped and spacious. Minutes from the seafront and a short walk to nearby bus stops which give easy access to the airport and the rest of Tenerife. Highly recommended.

Nice Apartment
The apartment is in a fantastic position in Arona with everything for a top holiday within a short distance (beach, shops, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets. nightlife etc) but the complex is quiet and relaxing, good pool area bar/cafe. The apartment is cosy and well furnished with all you need for self catering, Paula was really helpful and understanding when we had to change sleeping arrangements at last minute. Would recommend for couples or small families,

Terrible smell in apartment
The apartment when we went in stank the cleaner had washed the floor and the leather setee with the mop and could not get the rancid smell out ,we had to put mop n bucket outside as the smell was horrific, who washes a floor and then uses it to wash the sofa with a mop, disgusted as previous reviews said lovely and clean smell was so bad we could not eat in the apartment.
